As the first game's now over, I'll let you all in on a secret. For those who were trying to decypher my clues this should prove interesting..

The godfather was

Morrie, the barber. The clues he left behind were the lockets of hair he collected from every murder victim, the scissors which fell out of the back of the orange wagon, and the telephone number in the Neowin Times 555-4247 (555-HAIR). He also adopted Ricky S.'s cat quite early on in the game (as mentioned in 'other news', and if you remember the cat was later found dead in someone's coffin. The Sheriff was also wearing a wig near the end of the game as a disguise, which he was left by Morrie shortly before his death.

There were other clues linking Morrie to the Mafia but I can't remember any more right now.

Oh and yes, Ricky S.'s burning was indeed based on the Reservoir Dogs scene, so well spotted benac!
