I would like to use a lot of themes people linked here, but the "classic" shellstyle really turns me off. Is there a way to disable the default shellstyle, the kind that appears when a theme is not bundled with a shellstyle?

If a VS does not have a shellstyle, you can use one that you like from an other VS. or you can disable shellstyle in the Tools > Folder options menu.

thanks! I can't figure out how to use a shellstyle from another VS tho. The logical way would be to copy the whole Shell folder of another VS right? But it doesnt work for me. Am i doing something wrong?

Create a "Shell" folder inside the VS's folder you want to ad a shellstyle. Inside the "Shell" folder create a "NormalColor" folder. There puth the dll file from the other VS shellstyle. At least this is how I do it.
