Anyone else see Lisa Simpson giving someone a bit of "oral pleasure" in that?

Loads of people have said that to me, and I cant stop seeing it now :p

Haha, yes, I see it

That logo looks terrible... I'm sure it'll be changed though.

As if the taxpayer hadn't coughed up enough money for another Millenium Dome type money wasting initiative, we go and spend ?400k on something that represents street life not sporting life!

JEEZ!!!!

I bet the designers charge ~?25k just to change the colours and the Olympic comitee will be like "yeah why not, not our hard earned money".

The alternatives were a darn site better, and think, if someone had given even a 10th of the price, then over ?350k could have gone to feed the needy or other worthy causes.

Thats where I want my tax money to go, or on health or the like, not on ****ing illuminous pink Mr Blobby created logos (apologies to those who don't know/remeber Mr Blobby (Noel's House Party))

Anyway, rant over...........

That logo is complete and utter rubbish. Hopefully it will be changed, although it will just be yet more money spent.

Here is another simple Londoner's attempt...

Although ?400,000 is a bit much for a logo, I'd rather see the designer of that logo get it.

The thing looks shattered, which let faces it the games will be as well.

Preparation for the games not going well?

Its kind of funny/sad about how much is spent on the Olympics and then after the games your hope to break even with your new [what ever needed to be built track/pool/ski jump/ect...].

Most of the venues probably won't be used after the Olympics which is stupid...

When it comes to the money, at least that was paid for with Private money, so the Taxpayer didn't pay for it

Unless something spectacular happens before then, my fiance and I are making our first trip to England for the Olympics. I was hoping for the winter games, as I prefer more of the sports to that of summer, but it should be great nontheless.

Those of you in London/England, has there been word on a time frame for tickets or anything yet?

No I haven't heard anything yet...its still up in the air I think because most of the venues have to be built first...

What an abominable, grotesque, and inaccurate reflection of the wealth of design talent that we have in the UK.

I'm not even sure that this would have been fashionable in the 80s. Someone tell me just one way how it symbolises the Olympics, London, or the alleged "dreams and aspirations" of millions.

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
