Can anyone help me get Play count working? I installed the foo_playcount_mod.dll and foo_playcount_mod.cpp file in the components directory. But it doesn't work

Preferences [CTRL+P]->Tools->Play count mod and select this option:

86128305fr0.jpg

If it still not working, change Tags type to Playback_statistics: PLAY_COUNT and insert %play_count% instead of all %play_counter% in my code.

first of all, thank you for your amazing work!

one newbie question: I installed all plugins and it seems to work, but I can't see the symbols below the timeline (cover art, playlist switcher etc.). They are as black as the background. Any Ideas?

Reinstall my images (check if you have foobar2000/PanelsUI/images/FooAVA/S/)

just stop being lazy a$$ and search through this topic, I posted already explanation how to make it work

Shadow, i have used ur explanation, but play-count not working here.

screenshot for explanation please

in advanced --> taging> i use " id3v2 writer compatibility mode.

I'm having some real issues getting this awesome skin working correctly - by the looks of it, I'm not getting any of the Direct X 6 effects (I'm presuming that's the reason why there's a .DX6 file included)? I'm a foobar noob, so be gentle.

foo1.jpg

Here's my configuration screen; as you can see there isn't a .DX6 file to choose from despite it being in both the root foobar directory and \PanelsUI\.

foo2.gif

Any ideas? I am running a 965G (meaning it's integrated graphics) so it's possible that it's a driver problem...

The DX6 file is the config for the skins-config window. It has nothing to do with directX6.

In your case it seems like the pictures are in the wrong directory and foobar can't find them.

if you have the pui and the dx6-file in your panelsui directory, the images should be in PanelsUI\images\fooAVA\...

The directory structure would look something like this:

MiDiAN

Reinstall my images (check if you have foobar2000/PanelsUI/images/FooAVA/S/)

thank you, this worked out.

But a new problem showed up. Most of my albums don't have a cover, although I implemented the covers in their tags, which worked out pretty well when I was using Album Art for Winamp before. I tried out just downloading the covers from amazon.com and copying them in the album folder. Now, the covers will show in the Album List of Foobar, but they won't appear as bigger images when I play these albums. How can I fix that?

this didn't help, but renaming the cover file to "front" did! :)

I am not really eager to download covers for almost 300 albums by hand and then rename them one by one to "front" :D

do you know a programm which can perform these operations (and which works without Microsofts ****ing Framework...)?

Analconda could you not just change the path where foo looks for images in your Globals?

i think summit like

$if(
$fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.jpg)),
$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.jpg),
)

should load any jpg from the album folder

also i use bulk rename utility for mass renaming

Sorry, justa quick question i found this: http://lithos.blog.kataweb.it/lithos/2005/...r_bonus_pa.html

which appears to be a preconfigured foobar. I was under the impression that this was not allowed.

is this the case?

You can find my comment there:

(...)However, what is most important, licence of foobar2000 said that you shouldn't edit foobar setup without Peter Pawlowski's permission...

Thanks, :) sorry should have read it more carefully, still you cant assume someone callingthemselves 'dawxxx666' on one forum is the same person as someone else calling themselves the same thing elsewhere. Id imagine there are plenty of Neobond impersonators.

I have some questions, I'm a beginner with foobar :

1- Why I have this view on the right ? I want all title with only one cover for my album (same of your screenshot) . How I do ?

2- How I do to have visualisation on the bottom (down the cover) ?

3- How I change the title of my playslist ?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot.

1. in playlist, right click --> sort group by--> Artist/date /album

3. in left top ---> left click ---> view--->playlist manager ---> and u can change the name of playlist.

2. j'ai pas bien compris la question

regards

Thanks dawxxx666 but how to have wall with Visualisation ?

3. in left top ---> left click ---> view--->playlist manager ---> and u can change the name of playlist.

I don't have Playlist manager en left top (foobar logo).

1. I won't explain this again. You can't find this 'feature' in 1.03 ver.

2. Just click 'Playlist switcher' button, then right click on playlist->rename...

Hi, meanwhile I could figure out some things by trial and error, but there are three questions left (propably ridiculous):

1. how can I sort the albums in album list by artist and not by albumname? I tried changing the order in preferences-->media library-->album list, but it had no effect!?

2. I want albums and tracks to be enqueued by double-clicking them in album list. How can this be achieved?

3. Clicking on the player in the taskbar does not minimize it.... any suggestions?

thanks a lot for your help and keep up the good work! :)

Many thanks man, that got it.

I was installing to the root foobar directory, instead of the PanelsUI directory as I should of been.

I love this skin! I finally managed to make it work! I have 3 last questions though:

How can I make the background of the cover on the cover pannel trasnsparent? (see image)

Where is the lyrics pannel? I wanna be able to read the lyrics.

And How can I change the album info on the playlist?

I want to make it look this way:

"artist"

"album name"

"year"

Ok, I'm fairly new to Foobar, so sorry if this question is asked frequently or something.

Foo AvA_DX6 seemed to install fine, I didn't have any trouble setting up, except for one thing:

It displays "UNKNOWN FUNCTION" repeatedly in some areas on the UI (circled in the attached picture).

Anyone know why it's doing this, and how I can fix it?

    • SKG Hand Massager with Heat OS500 hands on by Steven Parker I was offered the chance to test out the SKG Hand Massager with Heat OS500, and full disclosure, they let me keep it regardless of my findings. Anyway, I jumped at the chance due to my long hours sitting at my desk, mousing around. Apologies for the knife cut across the top of the box; that was my doing, being a bit too heavy-handed with opening up the outer packaging. First up, what's in the box: SKG Hand Massager with Heat OS500 1x Type-C charging cable User Manual 1-Year Warranty (card) In short, everything you need to get started. According to the official Amazon listing, here are the key features: Full-Hand Air Compression: OS500 wraps your fingers, palm, and wrist with multi-chamber air compression for a complete hand relaxation experience. The extended massage chamber helps cover more of the hand and wrist area than standard palm-only hand massagers Palm Kneading with 6 Modes & 6 Intensities: Built-in palm kneading rollers add a hands-on massage feel, while 6 preset modes and 6 pressure levels let you choose the comfort level that fits your day—from gentle relaxation to a firmer full-hand massage 3 Heat Levels with Cooling Fan: Choose from 104°F, 113°F or 122°F warmth to suit different seasons and comfort preferences. The built-in cooling fan helps reduce stuffiness during heated sessions, keeping your hand feeling fresh and comfortable Easy Visual Display & Smart Timer: The digital image display clearly shows massage area, mode, intensity, heat level, and remaining time at a glance. Select 10, 15, or 20-minute sessions for quick office breaks, evening relaxation, or everyday hand care Rechargeable, Cordless & Comfortable: A 3000mAh battery supports over 90 minutes of full-function use on a full charge, with convenient USB-C charging. The soft inner lining, smooth ABS/PU finish, and premium black-gold design make OS500 ideal for home, office, or gifting With all that out of the way, here are my own findings. I gave it a try on both left and right hands, and as you can maybe see from the above YouTube Short, (sorry for the shaky video), my whole hand fits in, but my wrist barely enters the Hand Massager. I was able to push through a bit more with my fingertips extending out the other end to get a bit of massaging on the start of my wrist. Usage For some reason, there is a strap that is very difficult to fasten to my wrist with one hand. I am not sure what function it has, and it isn't mentioned in the user manual. The only thing I could find was in the product images that claimed "wrist precision". Unlike the Bob and Brad Hand Massager, this device does not massage the wrist anyway, even though a "wrist mode" is mentioned, which must be for smaller hands than I have, as it is mainly intended for the hand and fingers. In addition, for its steeper price, there are no disposable gloves provided in the box, which is a bit of an issue considering the internal cover (which appears to be elasticated nylon) cannot be removed for washing; so you are left with only one choice: always thoroughly wash your hands before using it. I can imagine this thing getting a bit grimy after a period of use, and that is a bit of a shame. With that said, the buttons on the device, from left to right, do the following: Heat button: 3-level heat control at 104°F, 113°F, or 122°F Mode button: Auto mode Circular mode Soothing mode Relax mode Palm and fingers mode Palm and wrist mode Intensity button: from (First-time users) 15Ka, 25Ka, 35Ka, 45Ka, 55Ka, 60Ka (Intensive relief) Knead button: on or off (6 pressure levels) Power button: Long-press to turn on or off Cooling button: turn on or off the cooling fan Also, in the product imagery, it states there are 36 "custom modes," but nowhere is it listed what these modes are. I can only imagine that they mean a combination of all of the above settings in different intensity levels. The device itself seems to rely on a single "kneading" mechanism located at the palm area of the hand, which spins when in use, and the other massage features are mainly utilized through the air sacs, increasing and decreasing at various levels on the hand and fingers. I am not sure it offered too much relief for someone who is typing and operating a mouse for hours at a time; further testing may be required. It does feel nice, though. Finally, you may be wondering how this fits into the scope of a tech website? Well, let me tell you something: sometimes I sit for up to 15 hours working on Neowin, and although I take breaks in between, it takes a toll on my body. I think in the immediate absence of a partner to apply relief, a good massager like this Hand Massager can shed the strains of the day in just a couple of 15-minute bursts. On the official website, this has an MSRP of $99.99, but luckily for our readers, it is selling at $10 off for just $89.99 right now on Amazon. SKG Hand Massager with Heat OS500 for $89.99 (with $10 off coupon), $99.99 MSRP For me, this gets a thumbs hands(?) down. However, it could be improved by making it so that the protective covering could be removed and thrown into the washing machine, or get yourself some disposable gloves to use with it.
