"You can't kill stone"

That's what they say anyways in the episode, so, eh who knows.

what I don't understand is..when the angels are stone statues...why not just break them with a hammer or something? I mean is that just too much simple logic.

Well firstly I don't think The Doctor carries a hammer around with him, but your also assuming that would work in the first place, we haven't seen anything to assume that they are that easy to kill.

The Doctor says "you can't kill stone" when referring to them, and one would assume this "Quantum Locking" that they use that makes them turn to "stone" when looked at would come with some protection against physical damage, and as seen in the latest episode one of the angels existed in a digital/holographic form as the recording contained its "image" which could mean that their stone bodies are just a physical form that isn't necessarily required.

But who knows, maybe it will be answered in the next episode, one of the soldiers did shoot at one of the statues.

Looking forward to tonight for sure!

But I just watched the first episode again and it seems strange that we've never had an episode set exclusively inside the Tardis?

We're always told how big it is inside and how 'advanced' it is so surely Moffat realises that we need to see more of it (especially with the stuff about a pool in the library).

It could be something as simple as Amy and The Doctor are under attack from some alien time thing which has infiltrated the Tardis and have to find a way to get rid of the alien who has infiltrated the control room. This would let the writers go crazy and show us more about the damn thing since its is merely a vehicle at the moment and needs to be developed!

What do you think?

So going back on people we have met who she might possibly be, I wouldn't be surprised if she is The Doctors cloned Daughter that we have yet to meet again, but that is just the first thing that comes to my mind when wondering who she might be, and would also explain a few things.

But who knows, I hope we get an answer soon. :D

But would your daughter call you darling and sweetheart? I'd be rather worried if mine called me anything other than dad! :p

Lol at Amy trying to get it on with The Doctor, I wouldn't have said no. :p

But yea, seems like they are trying to insinuate that she kills The Doctor, and they didn't really explain the whole crack in the wall thing, just added more questions as to why it not only is following them, but why it resolves around amy.

I'm enjoying this series more as the first season with Matt Smiths than I was with David Tennants first season.

Wow what an episode. Very very very good writing and solid acting from everyone. I love that Moffat is not afraid to actually give us information about his season arc's unlike RTD then that bit at the end with Amy. My only worry is she becomes a 'Donna' figure as the most important person in the universe. But I have faith in Moffat and his writing team.

I'll be honest; Matt Smith is much more likely the Doctor i've always wanted. I loved Tennant's take on it but that was for a different writing and Matt Smith is ideal for the more adult-darker themed stuff; and do not kid yourself with this projected 'dumbing down' or 'aimed more at kids' schtick. There are some very dark moments sofar this season and Matt Smith is a brilliant take on what Doctor Who should be and suits the story perfectly.

Oh and to chime in: I shouted NO! at the Amy/Doctor scene in her room at the end - we all saw it coming and it was excellently handled! Wonder what it means though...was that her being her? Or under some influence? I think it was her being a girl impressed by a man and not wanting to get married; nothing sinister about it. But the crack is definitely following her for some reason.

I think we see the Doctor from the future come to reassure Amy at one point, that or its a blooper as he disappears for a moment when he leaves Amy with her eyes shut and then he is back to give her that pep talk before leaving her with soldier's in the forest, but he has his jacket on that he lost earlier in the episode.

    • What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.
    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
