ohhh didnt realise you needed gold to get this working, seems mine ran out anyway, so anyone want my code? cause im going university in 3 days and am 90% sure they've blocked gaming ports so no point me using up a Month trial i got (ill save that for my month off in December for Halo 3) for 3 days, so anyone want my token?

Woo Hoo! got in the beta (thanks to WayLander (Y) ) though I am having touble getting in a game it just seems to stay on "Trying to join to potential matches" Anywork around for this??

yeah log off xbox & log back in should fix it

if not restart xbox thats what i did & it works

Acies, wait for it. It'll come eventually. Alot of people are playing the MP beta. I've been in a few games where I was disconnected due to copious amounts of lagg. Anyway, keep trying. You'll get in sooner or later.

Hey sharpy2k4,

I'll gladly take your code. Huge COD2 player. Thanks a bunch.

Just started playing this today (my cousin was playing it yesterday I think) and wow, very impressed so far.

I enjoyed this ALOT more than the Halo 3 MP beta I'll tell you that much. The maps, while small-ish are beautiful, the weapons FEEL great, the sounds are awesome, and the overall action is superb.

Of course, if I see another person say that CoD 4 looks better than Crysis, I'll have to go and kill them. I mean, the game looks great and everything, but better than Crysis? Wow, what kinda stuff are they smoking? :|

Guys, I just played this game and it's freaking awesome!

Everything is great and the weapon balance is great! The graphics are awesome and I'm thinking that it looks better than Crysis.

I hope the PC version runs worse than the 360 version. Bwahaha.

The beta is cool, but just doesn't feel right. Nowhere near as fun as I thought it'd be :(

I feel the same, need more maps for the beta too, only 2 of the map selection is good. That one which is mostly indoors sucks cause everyone camps around corners and stuff.

Played a few games, really awesome game looks great and plays smooth.. like butter!! But it's pretty damn hard to be good, I certainly need practice anywho. Though I wish the sensitivity was more customizable, medium is too slow, fast is a bit too fast.

Is it just me or are the pistols reeeeally underpowered. Also what are the full controls how do I knife?? throw a grenade back etc..??

I am so getting this game when it comes out.

@Magik: That was good man. I look forward to fragging with you again. ;)

Yea, definitely man. Great fun, but you were def whooping ass. I'll need some more time with it to get up to your standards. :D

As far as the quality of the game is concerned, definitely top-notch. Truly fun multiplayer, really. If it wasn't for this Beta, I would have just rented it, did the SP Campaign and sent it back, but now that I have experienced the CoD4 multiplayer, I'll probably be picking this up sooner or later (Halo 3 has higher priority though, surprise) :p

For those just getting into it or don't really think it's that fun, definitely give it some time. Once you get used to things, the weapons, the maps, the perks system, etc you'll really start to appreciate the quality of the game. Good stuff. (Y)

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
