So out of the oceanic 6who was in the coffin?.....

Dunno it said they have had successful lives after leaving the Island and it seemed the bloke/woman in the coffin had no friends so I would say none of them.

But its a person with have seen before, maybe it will be Ben, Juliet, Karl, Alex or Desmond, i.e. People who weren't on the plane

Speculating on who is in the casket isn't a spoiler.

So who gets Games for Windows (formerly CGW) and read the info on the Lost game?

I saw the pictures a while back I thought it had been shelved for good, is it coming out soon then?

I think this is completely different from that game, this is a new title.

Quick details:

Coming in 2008. Ubisoft Montreal. Stars a new character named 'Elliot'. Didn't want to have one of the main characters as to not confuse any story lines.

They are portraying it as sort of a mix between Myst and a shooter, and calling it a survival-adventure.

Elliot was a photojournalist before the crash.

There will be flashbacks in the game.

Heres a question, though:

A quote

" 'We've got Ben, Juliet, and Miguel' says producer Gadi Pollack, listing characters who'll be voiced by the actors from the show. 'Its changing every day.' "

Who the heck is Miguel?

-- ahh, it just be Michael, and Gadi Pollack is French Canadian, and the guy who wrote the article is not a Lost fan. Or is there some Miguel?

Heres a trailer: http://lostgame.us.ubi.com/

I don't want them to show any episodes until the entire season is filmed IMO. By showing us 6 or even 8 episodes, we're only going to feel disappointed, lost (no pun intended), and it will leave us completely unsatisfied, and wanting more.

I think ABC will be making a huge mistake if they air these 6 (or 8) episodes. I hope they make the smart choice and decided to hold off until the fall. That's just my two cents anyway...

The problem is, there is no guarantee that the strike will be over in time to film for the fall schedule. In fact, most people that are 'in the know' (read: not uninformed bloggers) think that the strike will run through the Fall 08 TV season.

That's true, and I understand what you're getting at. That and ABC doesn't want to have to reimburse advertisers for prime-time ratings shortfalls and having new programming on certainly helps boost ratings. But I think it will still be a mistake for the fans, but obviously it isn't about the fans for these studios, it is about the money. But then again, I already knew that

The one thing that might help end the strike, however, is if the DGA comes in and makes a quick deal, which wouldn't be a surprise either considering they've screwed the writers in the past when it came to contracts. The one thing writers have on their side this time is that the DGA and SAG both are looking for "new media" residuals as well. However, the DGA could easily take the lowest thing possible to get a new contract and that sets a dangerous precedents for future talks with the WGA.

Speaking about the person in the coffin, i thought that it was meant to be either Locke or Michael.

Yeah we don't know yet all just rumours but if the thing about the 6 is true then it could be on of them.

can't be one of the 6. We know it isn't Jack or Kate since they were both alive. and it was a guy so that rules out Sun. Jin is out because he isn't from NY and everyone likes Hurley. That leaves Sayid, but he wasn't from NY either. Unless I am forgetting something, but I am pretty sure whomever was in the coffin was from NY.

According to Lostpedia it reads...

Well all we know is that its someone we have seen before doesn't mean it has to be a person from the island, could be a person from a flashback?

Yeah thats what I assumed but I don't think its one of the 6.

    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
