So Lost has a new night, same time. So now it's competing with CSI. Hrmmmm

CSI will be either in re-run mode, or will be replaced by something else. CSI only has 2 new episodes left, so this won't hurt Lost at all (Y)

That and the fact that Lost might be able to pick up some more fans that don't get to watch the show due to church, and/or Grey's Anatomy fans as well.

Thanks to gupwalla from The Fuselage for compiling the following little snippet that were on "The Man Behind the Curtain" DVD Commentary.

* Horace Goodspeed and Olivia are important to the DHARMA story, and we can expect to see more of them in the future.

* Richard Alpert was conceived as the "Panchen Lama" of the Others. (That would make Ben the "Dalai Lama.") Alpert's role is to pick the next Dalai. Ben's role would be to pick the next Panchen, should the need arise. This keeps the two in a sort of balanced power relationship. They are allies, yet they have some measure of control over the other should one get out of hand.

* Ben uses the volcanic ash circle to contain Jacob. Jacob also has the means to control Ben to an extent.

* Speaking of volcanoes, there is one on the island. Damon says it will be of "seismic importance" (pun very much intended.)

* The Looking Glass Station is a communications station. Its role is to emit the ping that guides the submarine to the island.

* The DHARMA purge was not the first purge by the Others. There have been many groups on the island, and the Others have purged many times before. Remnants of all the groups make up the Others we see today. Damon likens this to the United States, which is a nation of immigrants from many cultures who have assimilated into a common culture.

* Ben set Locke up to kill Cooper as a test...he was certain Locke would fail as he has not shown himself to be capable of murder. There is probably no great mythological reason for killing one's father; Alpert helps Locke find a way to kill Cooper because it is the only way to break Ben's manipulation.

* Damon suggests that Ben's penchant for numbering his rabbits "probably has something to do with fertility experiments."

* Room 23 is located on the Hydra island, which is designated for zoological experiments. Has it only been used on humans, or was it previously used on other animals? And if so, what animals? (Calling all Joop fans!)

* Annie is an extremely important part of the island's backstory, and it is a planned chapter to come. Annie is more important than the Goodspeeds or the volcano.

* The mechanism for the purge at the Barracks was different from the mechanism Ben uses in the van (the canister of gas). The gas canister was added in post-production to give Ben a more active role in his father's death. But the original plan was for something to happen more or less island wide at 4 PM.

* We have not seen Ben's motivation for his role in the purge, but we will.

Well all we know is that its someone we have seen before doesn't mean it has to be a person from the island, could be a person from a flashback?

Do we know for a fact that it is someone that we've seen before?

So Lost has a new night, same time. So now it's competing with CSI. Hrmmmm

It will be competing with either a game show, a reality show, or a rerun. CSI is basically done for the spring.

C'mon baby! I'm ready for Lost all over again. Give it to me now! TV sucks since you've been gone. Even Heroes never pleasure me as you did baby! Another month & a half?!?! Ughhhh!! :argh:

Yeah!

Well, it is implied that the people who got rescued are called the Oceanic 6, but that doesn't mean that no one else got rescued, just that they aren't part of Oceanic flight 815. So, the one in the casket must be someone who got rescued, but was not on flight 815, or wasn't part of the famous rescue.

Aw c'mon, links aren't hard to make. See the icon with the chain (rte-link-button.gif)? Yeah, the one after U. Click it and use that for links... or you can simply paste the URL because apparently the forum was updated with a new feature that automagically hyperlinks it! Like this:

    • AMAZON needs to take total accountability for this.
    • Server Summit had a heap of announcements, ADCS changes are baller.
    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
