Richard being there when Locke was a baby definitely gives more proof that he is immortal or ages very slowly, and then there was the black orderly who was pushing Locke around in his wheel chair, the same guy who went to Hurley asking about the island in the season opener.

Yes and he also worked with Naomi so that means he works for Widmore. So one could assume Widmore was interested in Locke as well. Would that also open the possibility of Richard at one time working for Widmore as well? Probably not, but that might be interesting.

This is from my post at AICN:

What about the doctor?

The freighter gets word from the island that the doctor has washed up with his throat slit. That one guy tells the doctor, who has no idea what he's talking about. Finally, Keamy, who didn't hear the Morse Code message, ends up slitting the doctor's throat and throwing him over the edge.

Doesn't this mean that the doctor's physical body was transported back in time when it floated to the island? Or am I missing something?

Seems like Richard may be sort of an observer in the grand scheme of things and once in a while giving a little nudge to make sure stuff is going a certain way. Same with the guy pushing Locke around in the wheel chair. They seem to pop up every so often at certain points in time and try influence certain people or events.

So about the island / time travel thing

it seems unless you have the right trajectory to the island, outside going to the island is forward in time, island off to the boat is back in time. So if you go to the island then back to the boat, everything seems normal. But for the islanders, they always see whats 'in the future' for everyone outside of the island...hmm i had another thought for something that could cause but i forgot

Actually no. Remember they shot the gun thing, and it took like 20 minutes before it reached the island, well in your theory the projectile would have reached the island 20 minutes before it was fired.

Wow just wow, what a great episode, I wonder what's the device that Kimy has on his arm... maybe some kind of weapon?, or protection?

The only thing that makes sense to me is it's some kind of device that controls his fear level, or something. Becuase I remember that one african-american with the big stick or whatever, came face to face with that black smoke, but it didn't harm him. So maybe it's some kind of device that lets him know when his fear levels are up? IDK!

But this season has been amazing so far. LOVE IT!!

I think that Richard is a time traveler, like Ben. That's why we keep seeing him in the same age.

He travels "into" the flashes and events that are relevant and changes something \ intervene.

And what do you say about Kimis gun.. Island protection again? :/
