Claire was with them in the last episode. Sawyer, Miles and Claire were heading back to the beach...

So either she gave them the baby (her respones - the baby is fine) or something happened to Sawyer and Miles and the baby is with Jacob or someone else.

did you miss the entire scene last episode where Claire disappeared after seeing Christian holding Aaron, then Sawyer found Aaron in the woods?

i must have entirely missed the stuff about them being siblings etc...when about was that told?

Well, we already knew he was Jack's dad. And then last week, Claire woke up and saw him and called him Dad too. Plus there was the whole thing about Jack's dad down in Australia trying to see some girl who was his daughter.

Some Tidbits about tonight...

* We return this week to flashbacks, and how. I?m guessing we go farther back with each flash.

* Young Locke will get a proposition from a high school chemistry teacher.

* Younger Locke will spend some time in a school locke-r.

* Youngest Locke may meet Richard Alpert.

Alpert is in next week?s episode too. Widmore?s freighter fiends, as one might guess, do not rescue the Oceanic Six. Desmond may come very close to becoming one of the Oceanic Seven. The finale will depict the arrival on the American mainland of the Oceanic Six, as well as the funeral of Christian Shephard. And we?ll learn more about why Jack is so hot to return to Dharma Island.

"Young Locke will get a proposition from a high school chemistry teacher."

Ha, that just sounds wrong...

well there's that....as well as the entire Claire flashback episode from season 2 (Par Avion) where she finds out Christian is her dad.

ABC Adds More Hours to Lost

The 2009 and 2010 editions of ABC's "Lost" will be 17 hours each -- not 16 as previously planned, says The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC has added two hours to the show's production plan because the WGA strike knocked three hours out of the current season. To partly compensate, the network recently added an additional hour to Part 2 of the season finale that airs May 29.

All told, the changes will wrap up the show with the same number of episodes that producers and ABC negotiated last year.

"We were supposed to do 16-16-16," "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof said. "But we ended up doing 14 this season, so we owe two."

For the upcoming season finale, Lindelof promised a more action-driven cliffhanger instead of the mind-bending flash-forward time shift that stunned fans last season.

"The finale this year will not be as tricky as last year," he said. "Hopefully, this year it's a little bit more of a straightforward action-adventure narrative. But the ending of the episode will hopefully engage and intrigue people looking forward to the next season of the show."

^^ Good news (Y)

Move the island?!?

Now that is very interesting

slit throat/time gap part? holy crap!

Hmmmm even more interesting.

Wonder what that thing on Keamy's arm is? And the whole thing between Abaddon and Locke and Locke and Richard. Shame the captain is dead, he was one of the good guys.

Seems Locke was the chosen one since the day of his birth. Wonder how Richard knew he was special?!

I think there were a fair few easter eggs in that episode.

Episode Description: The face-off between the survivors and the freighter people begins.

Guest Stars: L. Scott Caldwell as Rose, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, Jeremy Davies as Daniel Faraday, Ken Leung as Miles Straume, Rebecca Mader as Charlotte Lewis, Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus, Kevin Durand as Keamy, Anthony Azizi as Omar, Andrea Gabriel as Noor “Nadia” Abed Jaseem, Byron Chung as Mr. Paik, June Kyoko Lu as Mrs. Paik, Lillian Hurst as Carmen Reyes, Cheech Marin as David Reyes, Veronica Hamel as Margo Shephard, Michelle Forbes as Karen Decker, Susan Duerden as Carole Littleton, Noah Craft as Hendricks, Nigel Gibbs as funeral director (part 2), Greg Grunberg as pilot (part 2), and Alan Dale as Charles Widmore (part 2).

Flash-forward Spoilers:

* The episode elaborates on Jack's flash-forward ambition to journey back to the island, and what happened to those who didn't get off the island.

* Jin, Sawyer and Locke are alive on the island in the future.

* It features Donna, a pretty, blonde Australian in her 40s, who has had to deal with many set-backs in her life, but is strong and has persevered. Now, she has to deliver painful and emotional news.

* It features Karen Decker. She is pretty, pleasant and sharp as a whip. She is a leader and quick-witted. She can manage difficult personalities with ease, and hold sway three people in a room or a hundred in an audience.

* It features Millbanks, a rugged, smart Australian who works outdoors with his hands. He's the kind of guy you'd want with you to get out of a tough situation.

* It features a young, "Top Gun" type pilot, who doesn't like it when his co-pilot brings lucky charms onboard.

* Seth Norris, the Oceanic 815 pilot, makes an appearance.

* The funeral director makes an appearance.

* The Oceanic Six return. Their rescue is a huge media circus, with a throng of reporters and photographers on hand as they step off a military transport plane. There is an Oceanic Airlines-coordinated press conference. The world’s media was there for answers, as well as Margo Shephard, David Reyes, and Carmen Reyes. The media asks Kate how old is Aaron. They ask Sun what happened to her husband. And they ask Hurley what of his fortune, and the hefty airline settlement. The press is skeptical of their story. Sayid toes the line, but isn’t happy about it. The Oceanic Six also make surprising mention of three long, lost friends, whose deaths occurred in each of the first three seasons.

* A large number of people arrive for a funeral, all dressed in black. On the parking lot are shiny BMWs, Mercedes, and a couple of black stretch limousines with California plates. There was no flock of press. Sayid and Nadia are standing outside the church as mourners filed in. A limo arrives, and Hurley exits along with Kate and Aaron. The group hugs and talks briefly at the top of the stairs before heading inside to meet with Jack. Then, a large portrait of a staid older gentleman with gray hair was being carried into the church. The funeral was for Christian Shephard.

* Sayid, Nadia, Kate, and Aaron go to a party at Hurley's mansion. There are party hats, loud shirts, a couple of cheesy plastic lei.

* Ben and Sun meets with Charles Widmore at London.

* Sun pays a visit to her father's office at Paik Industries.

* We find out who is in the coffin.

* There are two alternative explanations for why Oceanic 815 is in the trench at the bottom of the ocean. It will not be clear which story one should believe. Both stories will be presented and both stories will have legitimate facts presented on their behalves.

* The mystery of Ben's list is linked to the wreckage.

* Charlotte Lewis was an obvious reference to C.S. Lewis and an important clue to places that will be introduced at the end of the season [and an important clue to Charlotte's own, as-yet-untold important backstory].

* It features one of the most spectacular kisses ever seen on the show. The kiss happens off the island, and it will complicate the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle.

* The season-ending twist, code-named ''Frozen Donkey Wheel,'' is not the last scene of the episode. It will leave viewers ballistic as far as cliffhangers go, and set the stage for another series reinvention.

On-Island Spoilers:

* The episode shows how the Oceanic Six escaped the island.

* Kate, Sun, and Jin get on the freighter.

* We find out whether Jack or Locke was right.

* Ben probably knows why Widmore is looking for the island, but may not be telling the full truth. We will find out whether Ben is telling the full truth.

* The Orchid will pay off in a big way.

* A little more stuff about the freighter folk will be incorporated to make things more fluid.

* The Orchid is one of the largest DHARMA stations built. It has multiple floors and different sections that have different purposes.

* The freighter people are not the ones who rescue the Oceanic Six.

* Hurley, Sun, Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Desmond swim toward the Zodiac raft through some debris. Hurley — clutching Aaron — helps pull Kate, Sun, and Sayid aboard. But Jack and Desmond take a little longer to reach them. And Desmond is holding someone who’s not moving.

Rumors:

* Jack's beginning efforts to return to the island mirror the real-time events of him leaving the island with the rest of the Oceanic Six.

* Dr. Candle is on the island. This may suggest that he's appearing on the Orchid's orientation film, or he has a large part in a flash sequence.

* The person in the coffin is Michael. He's responsible for getting only six off the island. He's not known as one of the Oceanic Six because he gets off under another alias. This is why nobody went to the funeral. If it had been one of the Oceanic Six, there would have been a media frenzy. Kate did not want to go to the funeral because of what Michael did.

General Spoilers

* Season 4 is about who gets off the island and the fact that they need to get back.

* There's another entire chapter of the show to be told off the island. Getting off the island is not the end. The flash-forward scene with Jack and Kate is not the end.

* Some survivors are dead in the future.

* The characters who died aren't gone forever. The new season will be haunted by the characters of the past.

* Jack and Claire will find out they are siblings.

* There's a great deal left to be told about the relationship between Sawyer and Kate.

* Locke's paralysis was healed by the island, but it might not be permanent.

* The hatch imploded according to Locke but there is definitely more to this story. You will get a better picture of what happens later.

* Penny is an important character to the overarching mythology of the show.

* Penny established the listening station to find Desmond. We will find out just how Penny knew there was an island to look for.

* We will see more of Charles Widmore, and sooner than we think. He plays a bigger part of the narrative of the story.

* Claire's psychic and his visions for Claire and her baby's future will be revisited.

* Rose and Bernard have an awesome storyline coming up.

* Michael will probably have a redemptive story.

* The growth of Walt will be addressed.

* The Others' obsession with children and pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island. The Others targeted Walt because they are interested in children with special abilities. This will be explored in the future episodes.

* Walt might have been destined or preordained to go to the island.

* Who is on that frieghter and are they good or bad is a significant part of the new season.

* Miles isn't on the island to make friends. He's not there for Ben, he's there for something else.

* Physics can be fun. They can also be incredibly dangerous. Watch Faraday demonstrate both.

* Lapidus is like a lot of fans of Lost - he never takes anything at face value. He's a true conspiracy nut, and that's going to pay off for him.

* Charlotte and Daniel were testing to see whether the island affects memory, or maybe because Daniel has a pre-existing condition.

* The Hostiles are the Others. They are also comprised of other groups that were on the island.

* Ben was not the only member of DHARMA who joined the Others.

* There are two factions of the Others and are in no relation to the hatches/stations.

* We'll find out more about Jacob.

* Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke.

* A new Dharma station, named The Orchid, will be featured.

* There are certain special places on the earth that relate to the show. And that specific spot on Tunisia is one. Another might be Ayers Rock on Australia.

* One of the DeGroots is still alive.

* The four toed statue is very important and will be addressed.

* The temple is a safe place. It's a landmark that predates everyone. It may be the beginning of some huge reveal - the history of the island.

* We might not see Cindy again this season.

* Daniel Faraday's rocket experiment in the Sayid episode, which established a time differential on the Island, was a very important scene in that it sets the table for things that come into play in the future of the show. We've learned a lot about our characters' relationship to the Island, but now we're going to learn their relationship to the outside world once they've been on the Island.

* We will see more of the cabin and it was very observant that many fans noted the presence of Jack's father inside the cabin. This is stuff that is a big part of the show going forward, but in terms of the final five episodes of the season, those are not the kind of questions they'll be answering.

* Christiane 1 may have been up to a little bit more than just looking for the Black Rock.

* How Michael and Walt made it to Manhattan will be revealed. We will be getting the detailed version of what exactly happened to Michael in between Ben sending him and Walt off the island and when we first meet him behind the wheel of that car.

* Michael becomes really pivotal to the end of the season. His return will have a lot of impact on the other characters.

* Faraday's journal, 3.2 million dollars, gas masks, and Richard Alpert's real job are things we should pay attention to for the rest of this season.

Libby’s story is going to be a mystery that'll get answered. There's one significant missing piece to her story. We'll find out how she got from A to B - from Desmond to the mental institution. The only way to tell her story is through another character's flashback, who is not among the beach dwellers..

I will never understand the logic behind revealing what happens in the finale (not you laz45, the people who actually leak the info).

That second protocol book just about confirms that it's Dharma. Whidmore said it was always his; we're not sure exactly what he meant, but it does give the impression that he's Dharma, and that book's cover page helps that thought.

Good point, never thought of that. Charles could be of been some sort of head of Dharma, new Ben/Others would set the gas out, so he fled the island and Ben/Others moved the island so he couldn't find it.

Good episode (Y)

I thought when I saw Christian thats not the same actor as before he looked alot different, anyone get any info on that Dharma logo or was it a run of the mill one.

His hair looks like it has more grey. He's certainly looking aged in that episode. But uh, yeah, it is the same actor though.

Sandboxie allows you to run your browser, or any other program, so that all changes that result from the usage are kept in a sandbox environment, which can then be deleted later. Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur). It creates a sandbox-like isolated operating environment in which applications can be run or installed without permanently modifying the local or mapped drive. An isolated virtual environment allows controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing. Sandboxie is available in two flavors Plus and Classic. Both have the same core components, this means they have the same level of security and compatibility. What's different is the user interface the Plus build has a modern Qt based UI which supports all new features that have been added since the project went open source. The Classic build has the old no longer developed MFC based UI, hence it lacks support for modern features, these features can however still be used when manually configured in the Sandboxie.ini. • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
