That also happened for Jacob's cabin.

Right, which to me is explained by visions at this point. What Hurley is seeing is in his mind, but that doesn't mean it wasn't put there by Jacob. Meaning the island is causing him to have these visions, he isn't necessarily crazy.

That could very well be the case, I was making the case that Charlie is in fact dead, that there's not two of him, but it's hard to say how this show can go since there's a plane and surely bodies were found in the plane, yet the plane and bodies are on the island as well. Oh what a mystery!!

Is it possible Hurley is also imagining Lewis? That would explain how 'Lewis' could see 'Charlie' lol.

So then you have to assume he also imagined Jack.

And we saw Jack watch Hurley's car chase from Jack's POV. So that would mean Hurley didn't imagine that part.

Which leads back to the same question. If the island is making Hurley see Charlie, how did Lewis see him?

Off the Island yes because of the time loop, to be it sounds logical but I am always for the far out ideas.

I think the time loop theory is different than what you believe it to be.

That theory is that events ON THE ISLAND repeat themselves. Meaning there are always a group of 'others' and 'survivors/stranded' and one group trying to find the island (DHARMA).

For example. If a group of new people came to the island right now after 4x01, say by shipwreck, they would view the 815ers as 'others'. Look at where the 815ers are going. To the barracks. Where the 'others' lived. Stands to reason that the 815ers are now the 'others'. The old others are now (again) the 'hostiles' from the DHARMA time.

Basically. The island always has three groups.

Yeah thats what I am looking forward to them explaining who the peeps are in the plane under the sea because if the pilot is the one from the plane then one of the others must of put him down there...lol

Which leads to the question is Lewis real?

We have no reason to think that he isn't. He is just as real as the other people in Santa Rosa the first time, which we know are in fact real due to Libby. There have been no clues toward Santa Rosa being in Hurley's mind this time around.

Is Matthew Abaddon also imaginary? As soon as he shows up to someone else, then we will know for a fact that it isn't all in Hurley's mind.

But don't you remember Dave? Dave wasn't real, at least as far as we know he isn't. Lewis could be another Dave.

But Dave was shown to be imaginary right away (by showing him on the island). They have done no such thing with Lewis.

It has to be the island that made Charlie appear, not Hurley's mind. Remember Kate's horse? Sawyer could see it too. Kate and Sawyer, as far as we know, don't have imaginary people/things in their minds. So it had to be the island doing it.

But the first time Kate saw the horse was off the island and we already know the island can see into you sole, mind, etc. because of Mr. Eko.

And in Hurley's flashback we saw that Hurley knew Dave was fake because of the photo where we had his arm around him. Once again the island looking into Hurley to place those tricks.

How can the island do that when the person isn't on the island? It doesn't make sense that it is the island IMO, I don't see how the island can control what someone is thinking off the island. And if Charlie is indeed dead, then how can Lewis see him? Unless Lewis is not real.

One way to prove Lewis real is to look at when Abaddon comes in. Does the nurse give Lewis any meds?

If he is the guy who Hurley is playing connect 4 with then yes, she does give him meds.

Yes he is. Then he is real.

Unless you are going to say that ALL of Santa Rosa is now imaginary.

Then how do you explain Lewis seeing Charlie? It doesn't fit with Lost. There's got to be a mistake somewhere. I'm wondering if that is suppose to be Lewis playing, I can't seem to find a screenshot of that scene with Lewis in it, I can just find arms.

The only thing Lostpedia has is the Charlie incident: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Lewis. They don't mention him playing connect 4.

It simply can't be the island though, unless whatever is effecting Hurley also effects the people around him, which means that the cop should have walked in and seen Charlie and the water, etc.

How about this as a theory... they're not off the island. They're in the "box" or something like that and the island is fueling these images.

We have already seen the island (or Jacob, I guess) influence events that occured off the island.

Remember the Charlotte Malkin autopsy tape?

Where's the proof that Jacob did that?

We don't even know if she was really dead or if the Dr. was simply ignorant on that one. We've never gotten an explanation on that.

Wheres the proof that Hurley is imagining Lewis?

Something sent a message through Charlotte to get to Eko about Locke.

It has to be the island or Jacob. Unless you are going to tell me that Lost is some big 'god is awesome' crap.

There's more proof that Lewis is fake (seeing Charlie for example) than the island (or Jacob) causing Charlotte to come back to life after being dead.

Carlton Cuse has stated that what happens ON the island has a global effect, but he hasn't said that the island directly causes things to happen off the island.

No, not Charlotte coming back to life.

The first thing Charlotte says when she comes back is 'Let John Locke go'

It is a message directly to Eko, from the island or Jacob. The island brought her back to life to deliver that message so that Eko would follow Locke once he met him.

I don't remember that at all. And there's no mention of that on Lostpedia, you'd think that would be very important. I'm going to watch that episode again tonight because I completely missed that.

The only thing listed on Lostpedia is, "She stops Eko at the airport to deliver a message to him from Yemi - she claims to have seen Yemi whilst she was "between places", after the drowning incident." But they don't mention what the message was.

Its on Lostpedia, I'll find it. Its where I find out about it.

Here's the guy who played Lewis: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Image:Steven_Neumeier.jpg which doesn't look anything like that guy playing Connect 4. At least to me he doesn't, maybe I'm wrong.

So the theory that Lewis is not real is back in play. It is the only thing that makes sense.

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
