1. Ok, the Others killed the Dharma people, and took their place. Wouldn't the Hanso corporation figure that out and stop dropping supplies? Some of the hatches were abandoned too. Wouldn't the Hanso corporation come to see what was going on? Unless the Others were continuing Hanso's work, or fooled them into thinking that everything was ok.

2. Was it ever explained why Hurley never lost weight on the island? I read somewhere that there was a "LOST" explanation.

1) There is no answer to this, if Ben blocked signals off the island then maybe Hanso couldn't locate the island?

2) Yes, Season 2 episode "Dave", we found out that Hurley had a massive stash of food to himself.

was the russian guy not an original darhma person who ben made an deal with, so untill the distruction of the flame they still kept the pretence up

No he wasn't. Everything he said was true, apart from that he was Dharma.

Unfortunately the rest of the world doesn't see LOST episodes as fast as the US does. US Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines stationed overseas, get US network programming as much as a month, or even a year later than people in the states. So how about cutting service members and DOD civilians in other countries some slack?

The Army only gives me a dial-up connection in the Pacific, so I can't get a torrent. I must rely upon Armed Forces Network tv and it's programming . I'm sorry if I must inconvince people's life by not joining a thread that is full of spoilers.

Heck, I'm, lucky to get LOST episodes this soon. Last year AFN spaced the episodes a month apart.

Must I be excluded from the conversation, without spoilers, because I am stationed overseas?

Last year I suggested a sub-forum for each episode, so everything wouldn't blend together.

The resolution was just to post each episode as it happens, where you live.

How can I comment on an episode I just saw, when Neowin favors CONUS?

Not everyone lives in the US, or can download episodes from the Pirate Bay.

In some countries the new season of LOST hasn't premiered yet. Let's not reward the pirate monkees.

damn... I dont know if answer you seriously or not...

Bah, anyways

1. No script.

2. He is a fatso, so by contract they have to feed that beast.

Why don't you stop watching the show and stay out of the thread then?

Besides your posting style - which means that anything you post is basically unreadable - you only make negative, annoying, uncomprehensible comments on anything.

Why bother?

I'm sorry that because you are serving our country you can't see the episodes on time.

There are lots of problems with having subforums though, the least of which is having someone make them for each episode of each show that people like. And what happens if one or two people like a small show that really no one watches? Does someone have to make subforums for that show too?

Also, once an episode has gone by for a week, that subforum would be basically useless. Most people watch it within that first week. So you're creating a subforum for that one week period.

And with a show like Lost, most of the plot points carry along from episode to episode. It would make it much more difficult to carry along conversations that take into account the whole series if you are communicating it within different threads and subforums. One thread is the best way to do it.

Finally, I don't see how the multiple subforums would help someone in your situation. You'd still be however far behind, and the conversation would have moved on from that episode by the time you see it. So you'd get replies that included knowledge of what was going to happen in future episodes, and thus may unintentionally spoil something for you.

Downloading something that airs OTA doesn't really classify as pirating anyway.

Again, thank you for your service, but theres really nothing we can do about how the AFN works.

Settle down bud, no one was giving you a hard time, I was just pointing out that there is a dedicated thread for talking about Lost, which was a perfect place for your questions. No one said you had to be excluded because you get the episodes late, and you could have easily posted the questions in the forum and said to PM you with their answers because you didn't want to have your post mixed with reactions to the latest episodes that you won't see for a while.

I apologize to you episode and Mathachew, I didn't mean to sound curt.

Last season I got a lot of "Why don't you just download the episode if you can't see it in country where you live!"

Maybe talking about specific episodes or seasons would be impractical on Neowin.

It's just that it would be nice to share a common experience with other Neowians.

I guess there is always going to be a divide between countries, timezones, and internet connections.

And little patience for that divide.

I'm sorry that you're unable to see the episodes when they do air (or even shortly after). They really are amazing.

Nice to see Penny and Charles again. Finally get to see Minkowski. No Miles......

First sneak peak: Locke swears Jacob's cabin was where they are, yet it's not, while Ben chimes in that Locke went there to find out what to do next. Then Locke and Hurley have a discussion about Charlotte, whether they should let her go or keep her as a hostage.

Second sneak peak: Jack and Kate chit chat, then Jack tells Kate she should go with Miles to find Locke's group, to Kate's surprise.

Veronika in Warsaw, Poland: Anything on episode six of Lost? I'm dying to know at least a little tidbit here and there.

The flashback features a look at Juliet's history on the Island, including her reaction to the death of her lovah Goodwin at the hands of Ana-Lucia. I truly cannot wait to see Elizabeth Mitchell in action again.

Malena in Providence, Rhode Island: What exactly do the Lost boaties want from Ben? Is he an enemy or a curiosity?

It won't be clear for some time to come. According to Rebecca Mader, who plays Charlotte and is totally lovable in every way, "I really don't know what we know about Ben, and I don't even know what we know about the Island, so I just had to play Charlotte that way. [Laughs] I really didn't know what the f--k I was doing!"

Peter in San Antonio, Texas: Do you know anything more about Miles' powers?

I don't know about Miles' specifically, but I have heard from two different sources that in an upcoming episode the boat folks appear to test each other for psychic powers. Hmmm...

^^ Sounds good!

Sneak Peaks: Interesting that Locke swears that the cabin was there and its not. Raises more questions about Jacob

Something for Jack/Juliet fans

Just a little something for all you Jacket fans who've felt a little left out of all the spoilers so far this season. I can report some good news to you all in that Jack and Juliet will share a passionate kiss in Episode 4.06 - The Other Woman.

    • Microsoft faces shareholder lawsuit over masking AI costs and slowing Azure growth by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft is facing a class action lawsuit from shareholders who allege that the company intentionally overhyped its artificial intelligence initiatives to distract from slowing cloud revenue and an exploding infrastructure bill. The complaint was filed in a Seattle federal court by the Michigan-based City of St. Clair Shores Police and Fire Retirement System. The plaintiffs argue that Microsoft’s leadership painted an overly optimistic picture of its Copilot rollout and complex OpenAI partnership. They say that the company did this while downplaying the harsh reality that building the data centers required to power these next-generation tools requires a huge amount of capital. Back at the company's Q2 2026 earnings report from late January, Microsoft revealed that its flagship Azure cloud growth had slipped to 39% (down from 40% the prior quarter) and guided investors to expect a further deceleration to 37% or 38% for the first three months of 2026. Now, under normal circumstances, a slight percentage point drop in cloud growth is a minor operational hiccup. But the Redmond giant paired that guidance with $37.5 billion in quarterly capital expenditures. This figure, which is a 66% year-over-year surge, blew past any analyst estimates at that time. Much of this amount went into buying high-priced GPUs and custom silicon that were required to train and run large language models. This is why the market reacted violently and just a day after its earnings call on January 29, the company's stock plummeted 10%, and wiped out $357 billion of capital in just a trading session. Microsoft is doing better now, though. Its Q3 2026 results showed its run rate from its AI business was hitting $37 billion, proving that enterprise demand for its infrastructure is very real and continuing to scale. Microsoft isn't the only company pouring billions into infrastructure for the AI boom. We've seen most Big Tech companies, including Amazon and Google, also get the results of these **** with stronger-than-ever growth and increased income. via Reuters

    • I totally disagree. Very little good comes out of governments all around the world manipulating everything they can and usually the people are not the benefactors. What you say about being restricted and expensive sounds almost like the arguments against firearms and why banning them will protect people as if making something illegal somehow will prevent the criminals from having and using them. AI being far less mainstream could simply mean the average person will not benefit, but "big brother" and the corporations will benefit, which is almost for sure NOT a good thing.
