My camera made the screens look horrible- they don't really look like that. And pardon the mess, I'm doing some typography homework. ;)

- Both screens are 20" Apple Cinema Displays

  • Left screen is connected to a 1.66GHz Core Duo Mac Mini
  • Right screen is connected to a 2.2GHz MacBook Pro

- The three external hard drives are all 250GB (There's three more, but they're scattered around the house.)

- I also have a server running Ubuntu 6.06.1 hidden under the desk.

mmmmm.. imacs :)

Uh... where? I think I've seen one iMac in this whole thread.

I don't think I've ever actually posted any pictures of my workstation. I change it just about every week. For example, I've now had my new 19 inch wide LCD for about three days. This stuff's really coming together.

I'll grab a camera and participate shortly.

Really nice setup, got to get me some cinema displays.

Do you use the Powermate a lot? Does the mac play nice with the Ubuntu Server? I have a spare computer lying about and thinking of servering it up.

How the hell can you work there? It's so cramped looking. Id hate that.

I don't work ...

Jimmy0, o yes maybe upgrade the keyboard and desk :p feel cramp and o yeah, another hampshire person :D

Like I said come december(ish) I won't be sitting in that corner anymore!

And yes, Hampshire FTW (Y)

I do use the Powermate a lot. My mighty mouse doesn't scroll, so I use that instead. I also have it set up to do different shortcuts in Photoshop and other apps. In my opinion, it's very usefull.

My Macs work very well with the server. I do everything through FTP, so it's really easy. Took a bit of configuring the server, but it's worth it. I put movies and stuff on it and I can stream them throughout the house. (Y)

PS- And if you're thinking of getting the ACDs, get them! They are really amazing.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
