It would also mean D'Anna lied, at this point wouldn't make sense. She said that the fifth wasn't in the fleet. Given what we know now, it wouldn't make sense for her to say that. If it ends up being someone in the fleet, shame on Moore for trying to throw a cheap twist.

Maybe they weren't in the fleet, maybe they were on the Basestar with them?, just saying, it could be anyone, I haven't a clue, I've seen some theories about Dr. Cottle, and even for Star Bucks Ship that came back with her. :p

I do secret long for it to be Adama, I do love him dearly, and it would make sense to somehow tie both tv series up with an underlying plot, and make him more awesome than he already is. :D

The case from the guy on YouTube is a good one, especially with tying him to the Capira series, but if it ends up being Adama, then it's a cheap cop out by Moore, but nothing has pointed that way, none that we've seen or noticed anyways. Apparently Moore has put a few clues in the show on the fifth Cylon, but his "hints" are so subtle that God almighty may be the only other person who gets it.

I agree it would be cheap, but I would still want it to happen, lol, it of course would mean his children were part cylon etc etc.

But ah well, Through the series when they introduced the secret 5 and then the last one, I haven't personally noticed any clues, how are we suppose to know what to look for?

There was one particular scene where Baltar was having dreams that he was a Cylon, where he was surrounded by five people that were like kids. I don't know of others personally, but like I said, there were apparently several, and if they are there, then Moore fails at giving hints.

I just feel that the 5th Cylon is a major character and had to have been in several episodes already. It could be a bunch of people, but according to that video, the parallel between BSG and Caprica makes Adama an excellent choice. However, I'm sticking with my earlier thoughts on the 5th Cylon, from that link above.

I had commented on it before, but the observation by that person, I cannot see how they possibly correlate their findings because I don't see half of what they see except the eye patch, unless they're examining more than the three crappy frames that were provided (I'm guessing that's your own capture?) Oh, and they all look like woman, two ugly, one freaky, one old, one child-like, and you didn't say who you think the 5th Cylon is, at least no in that comment :p.

Yes, they are my own screenshots. I just took them fast to make the point the guy from sci-forum was trying to make. I'm convinced this is one of the clues. Plus, they aren't ugly people, they were made to look that way because they are the victims of either the genocide on Caprica or Earth (final five come from Earth). I think the final Cylon is female but I'm still at a loss at who it should be.

Damn you SCI-FI!

The final episodes of Season Four of Battlestar Galactica may air as late as April 2009, according to the show?s star Aaron Douglas at a cast panel discussion Sunday at Dragon*Con 2Douglas, who plays Chief Tyrol, said that the SCI FI network has completely ignored arguably their biggest hit, adding ?and the SCI FI Network sucks,? which got a big applause from those in the audience.ience.

?Ten episodes is not a season,? said Douglas, referring to the first half of the season, which aired from April to June 2008. In June 2008, the remaining episodes, which will conclude the storyline for the series, had not yet been scheduled.

Michael Hogan, Richard Hatch, and James Callis seemed to echo their castmate?s feelings. In an earlier panel, Edward James Olmos riffed on the split saying, ?? of course they didn?t pay us for five seasons.? Season Four was originally slated for 13 episodes, but was extended to 22 (which included a 2-hour movie).

The series finale is said to be a tear-jerker, according to science adviser/cons?I don?t know anyone who hasn?t cried after reading the final episode script,? Grazier said.ode script,? Grazier said.

Well with 10 episodes, would you rather they start in January and conclude it in March or have gaps between each episode and prolong it to April or May? I could understand if it were a full season and they decided to start it that late.

I would want it as soon as possible, plain and simple. January to March is probably the best choice for us fans given the current situation, before Sci-Fi screws around with them any further. Prolonging it to April just means Sci-Fi will do as they please. They would probably put gaps in it and even prolong the ending to even June/July/August. The way I see it, the more they prolong it, the more spoilers will start coming out before we even start watching the episodes. People are anxious for answers, and they will get it if Sci-Fi isn't cooperating.

More stuff on the 5th Cylon...

If you’re holding out until January for Battlestar to return, and are trying to avoid any kind of news or spoiler info until then, then read no further.

If you’re interested in a possible lead on the 5th Cylon, however, read on.

IMDB has confirmed that Tobias Mehler will be appearing in episodes 18, 19 and 20 of Battestar Galactica’s final season as Zak Adama.

Zak Adama is the son of Admiral Adama (Edward James Olmos), who was killed during a Viper mission. Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, the closest thing Adama has to a daughter, has always blamed herself for Zak’s death as she was the one who gave him flight clearance when she herself felt he was not ready for it.

...Interesting. Yes, he could totally be cast for flashbacks, I realize that, but... then you remember things like:

"Four in the fleet." and "Adama is the Cylon."

Nice find Yggdrasilly. (Y) I just checked it on imdb too.

That definitely does bring up some interesting questions.

I'm thinking he might be in a flashback that is spread out in the final episodes. I just can't see how they can bring Zak out of nowhere and slap the 5th Cylon tag on him. From what we've seen so far of Zak, he seemed like a good guy. I don't see the 1st Hybrids prophecy on "And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption" applies to Zak. Zak was killed in a training mission, so I doubt hes still alive and working with the Cylons.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! :woot: Wonderful news, SCI-FI didn't screw them over (that much...)

I've recently started watching it and am currently up to Episode 9 in Season 2... I'm quite enjoying it so far

As far as I can tell we've seen all the 6 human-cylon models...

There is Sharon/Boomer (1), the PR guy with the side parting from the pilot episode (2), the mercenary, rugged type guy that Adama kills in the pilot episode (3), the really fit blonde woman from Gaius' head (4), the hot Australian accented Reporter woman in season 2 (5) and the bald, black guy that was playing Doctor with Starbuck in season 2 (6)

You know, I figured you'd have 'met' all seven models by now. Let's see if I can remember... By number, if you're curious:

(1) Brother Cavil [the priest guy]

(2) Leoben [guy from the Arms Depot in the first season, plays house with Starbuck later on]

(3) D'Anna [the Aussie reporter]

(4) Simon [the doctor]

(5) Doral [PR guy from the Pilot]

(6) [Has several names] Gina, Natalie, Six, Caprica-Six, Caprica, Head-Six [the blonde]

(7) [for some reason there is no seven?]

(8) Sharon Agathon/Valerii, Boomer, Athena

Also, great news on the season 4.5 dates. Can't wait!

He doesn't appear until Episode 219.

A follow-up movie to Season 4 in the works?

The action continues with a gripping 10 part web series of Battlestar Galactica. "The Face Of The Enemy" is filled with astonishing revelations you won't see on the show. Lieutenant Gaeta is sent off in a raptor with a handful of strangers when one of them mysteriously dies. The psychological human vs. Cylon struggle ensues in the restrictive confines of a raptor as everyone is a suspect and paranoia sets in among the group. One by one more passengers die under puzzling circumstances and those remaining must ask themselves if a Cylon is responsible for the deaths, or if it is one of their own — a human. - source

    • If you have a TV in your living room, chances are you can probably just use the Steam Link app and play your huge PC in big picture mode, effectively giving you the Steam Machine experience to see if you'd actually like it. The good news is the Steam Machine can have it's drives upgraded. It has a USB-C 10Gbs port as well, so the 512GB drive could be quickly moved to an external enclosure and repurposed.
    • This machine could very well be a second gaming PC for their living room as a console experience. So we would have to assume their main PC exists as well; With that said, I have 10gb home network with a 2.5gigabit internet connection here so we tend to have more than enough speed to download games. However, we can't make use of the 10gb LAN using Steam's built in transfer tool because it always compresses transfers and that slows the transfer down to well below a standard gigabit port speeds, sometimes as slow as 200-300Mb/s transfers. While that's probably still faster than most internet connections anyway, if they'd fix the LAN transfer issue it'd be upto x5 faster even on a gigabit LAN, than simply dropping a 2.5gbe port on there with hopes of a few people having fast internet connections. There are solutions, work arounds, like using LANCache if you run a NAS... or simply copying the files over manually using a network share.
    • Samsung announces ultra-fast UFS 5.0 storage to supercharge mobile AI by Paul Hill Local AI models tend to run a lot more slowly than cloud services like Claude and Gemini; however, Samsung has just announced that it has developed its UFS 5.0 solution, which increases data transfer to speeds of 10.8GB/s, enabling faster storage and processing in mobile memory that has the potential to provide more optimal local AI experiences. Commenting on this development, Jangseok Choi, head of Memory Product Planning at Samsung Electronics, said: If you’ve tried local AI, you’ll know it can be quite slow, especially if using the larger parameter models. By developing this new solution, Samsung says that storage is evolving from just storing data to a core piece of infrastructure that supports AI computation, too. The Korean company said that UFS 5.0 integrates the latest embedded memory interface standard from JEDEC and achieves up to 10.8 gigabytes per second (GB/s) transfer speeds. Regarding write speeds, Samsung UFS 5.0 can reach 9.5 GB/s. Both the read and write speeds are twice as fast as those of the previous UFS 4.1 standard. Aside from being ideal for local AI, Samsung’s UFS 5.0 is more power efficient by 40% compared to UFS 4.1. Samsung achieved this by implementing innovations such as clock gating and multi-voltage technologies. UFS 5.0 is also ultra-compact at just 7.5mm x 13mm x 0.9mm; that is 16.7% smaller than UFS 4.1. The company said it will be bringing it to multiple devices in the future, including mobile, wearable, and extended reality.
    • A bit like the steamdeck, this probably isn't for you.
    • Gamers Nexus already did their review, and building your own will be faster and cheaper, so not very convincing.
