This was my least favorite part of the episode, it was way over the top and too phony.

I'll have to disagree with you there man. She was just told that her lover (or at least the man she's in love with at any rate) was just killed, and everything was falling apart around her. She acted the way I expected her to act actually. The yelling part was a nice touch on the actor's part me thinks :D

On the contrary, she was yelling like that when she was trying to communicate with the other ships (it made me think, "Yell louder, I don't think they can hear you.") The woman simply doesn't have a good yelling voice, and she was supposed to be talking into a communicator that has a mic, but the way she yelled was like she had no mic and wanted a huge crowd below to hear her. Over the top, poorly done, and annoying :)

Other than that, the rest of the episode was mostly fine.

The "I'm coming to get you all!" thing was after she had tried to communicate with the other ships already. And yes, while she was yelling at the other captains she was kinda loud and obnoxious, but she was also nervous and upset and who knows what else as well. :D

Maaaaan. I was just thinking, on the way to work... When I firstheard this was being made, reading it in SFX all those years ago, thinking "This is gonna suck so very hard".

Then randomly downloading the pilot/miniseries and thinking "Hmmmm, it's different and actually better than I expected."

I feel all bittersweet now it's concluding :(

WOW. Could this episode have kicked any more ass? I think maybe the cracks in the FTL mean that they will have to upgrade to the Cylon's FTL system. I wonder what they are going to do with the representatives that were killed and all the traitors. I think the humans will trust the cyclons a little more now, they did protect the president and never fired a shot. I'm glad that Gaeta finally got it in the end and basically surrendered. He could have killed everyone had he attacked. People really need to see the webisodes to understand his whole story. And Zerrick? Firing squad is way to good for that motherfracker.

+1.

I loved it. That was one of those "frak yeah!" moments for me.

Anyone remember what Gaeta said right before he was killed? I believe he said "I don't feel it". Almost like he was so much at peace with himself that it kinda masked the pain he was feeling in his amputated leg. Also, I just remembered that the Quorum members were assassinated. Ouch!

Anyway, Roslin's reaction was priceless. The way she took command of the rebel Cylon Basestar was great. It sorta scared me when she said "I'M COMING FOR YOU ALL!". Haha. It's funny because Zarek meant to weaken her by lying about Adama and Tigh. Instead it made her more fearsome. Man, the last episode was fracking good.

I think he said, "It stopped," referring to the pain/irritation of his stump. I was extremely glad to see Zarek and Gaeta get executed; I was little worried that Adama wouldn't follow through on his threats and just end up imprisoning them.

Can't wait until the next episode!

Ah, you're right. That's what he said. I too was worried that Adama would let them live after what they did. Honestly, I'm not even 100% sure that they were executed. It cuts off right after the firing squad fires. Anyway, whatever happened to Cavil's rag-tag team of Cylons? Weren't some models on his side or something?

I KNEW IT! It was only a matter of time  They. are. dead.

Yeah, there were other Cylons; if memory serves me correctly, the current base ship jumped with the fleet and that was the last time we saw them, but I could be, and probably am, wrong.

So the question that's been nagging at me, "Is there a thirteenth cylon?" If the final five are from the past and distinct linage from the current models, then they have no model designation. Since the known 7 are models 1-6, 8... who is the seventh? The cylons don't consider the hybrid a model and indicate that it came before them, so more like model 0. Who is model 7, was it a boxed line, does it still exist somewhere?

I was right about Ellen Tigh being the fifth final cylon, and I was right about there being 8 numbered models... I'm on a roll! So wonder if the Daniel model will make a reappearance, I remember reading somewhere that Zack Adama had been cast in the final episodes, is that Daniel?!

I can see it now. Galactica itself becomes the first Cylon Basestar. And I'm being totally serious.

I'm pretty sure Zack when he shows up will be the Daniel model, but since that model is all gone, it will only be in flashbacks of some sort. But then again, they did bring FTL and realitivistic speeds into the equation (they had to eventually).

Wow. That is easily my favorite Battlestar Galactica episode. I hope Lost can tie things up as nicely as the BSG crew did tonight.

That's just it though, while very informative and heavy on content, it was virtually a sit down Q&A, which for a show to explain itself, sucks. Lost would totally ruin itself revealing its mysteries like this. Heck, anything being revealed like that stinks.

Again, very informative and interesting, but the setting was all wrong. It's practically no different than having a panel of writers with questions from fans, it just doesn't work well nor does it serve the mystery any justice.

The recall of their previous lives by Anders seemed a good plot device to explain the backstory to me, though, combining the Ellen Tigh story into the same episode did make it feel like an overload. The oddest part of the episode which stood out for me was that the PC v. Mac Ads' PC guy was cast as the brain surgeon, for the first time in the series, I felt the casting directors had made a bad pick.

I see your point, but at least the did explain themselves. I am just worried that when Lost ends we will still have no clue what is going on.

Well it looks like as usual Adama was dishing out the Get out of jail free cards, not a peep about any of the other traitors,

And there is yet another unknown cylon still out there (well possibly)

Anders comment about the warning signs sounded alot like baltar's head 6

my conclusions from last night:

1. Kara is Ellen and Tigh Child, she was resurrected by there original resurrection ship where ever that may be.

2. Daniel is Gaius Baltar. They had that early cylon warning system Ellen mention to Cavil(john) where they all see someone to warn them. Of course that is head-six.

    • OpenAI's new GPT-5.5-Cyber tops Claude Mythos 5 in vulnerability benchmark by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI today announced a major expansion of Daybreak, a cybersecurity initiative designed to help defenders find, validate, and fix software vulnerabilities earlier in the development process. The availability of powerful AI models has definitely changed the cybersecurity landscape by making vulnerability discovery much faster. However, the bigger bottleneck for the industry is now patching those vulnerabilities. Impacted software teams need to validate the discovered issues, understand their impact, develop fixes, test them, and deploy patches. Back in March, OpenAI launched a preview of Codex Security, which uses agentic reasoning with automated validation to discover high-impact issues and actionable fixes specific to the codebase. Since then, it has scanned more than 30 million commits across over 30,000 codebases; more than 70,000 findings were marked as fixed by human reviewers, while over 500,000 findings were automatically determined to be fixed. Now, OpenAI is releasing an updated Codex Security plugin that can run deep scans, review recent code changes, generate security reports, trace attack paths, validate findings, and create codebase-specific patches for human review. It can also triage findings from existing scanners, advisories, bug bounty reports, and ticketing systems. OpenAI says the plugin can export results to vulnerability management systems and integrate with workflows using SARIF files, CodeQL queries, the Codex CLI, and the Codex app. Back in May, OpenAI announced the preview of GPT-5.5-Cyber, a new model built on top of the recently released GPT-5.5, designed for specialized cybersecurity work. Today, OpenAI launched the full version of GPT-5.5-Cyber through a limited release for verified defenders. On CyberGym, GPT-5.5-Cyber scored 85.6%, compared with 81.8% for GPT-5.5 and 83.8% for Claude Mythos 5. It also scored 39.5% on ExploitGym, compared with 25.95% for GPT-5.5, and 69.8% on SEC-bench Pro, compared with 63.1%. OpenAI also announced the new Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, which will allow security vendors and service providers to use GPT-5.5 with Trusted Access for Cyber in their products and services. Accenture, Akamai, Cisco, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, SentinelOne, Wiz, Zscaler, and others were listed as initial partners for this program. OpenAI is also launching Patch the Planet with Trail of Bits, HackerOne, Calif, researchers, and maintainers. More than 30 open-source projects have committed to participate, including cURL, Go, Python, Sigstore, and pyca/cryptography.
    • AMD confirms 26.6.2 FSR driver breaks on many Windows PCs by Sayan Sen Earlier today AMD released a major graphics driver update as it brings support for FSR 4.1 to Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs. The new update, version 26.6.2, also brings support for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and more. And while the driver technically supports Windows 10 version 21H2 and newer, the tech giant has confirmed that there is a major issue with the new driver on non-Windows 11 PCs as it fails to launch properly on such systems. The error message says, "The version of AMD Software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver." Therefore on the surface it looks like a compatibility problem. AMD has also confirmed that the device manager will display the yellow bang or yellow exclamation sign alongside your GPU under the Display adapters dropdown. Here is what the Radeon team's official advisory recommends to affected users: "Users Running Windows 10 and AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 May Encounter Yellow Bang in Device Manager Affecting AMD Radeon RX Series Graphics ... Our Engineers are currently investigating this issue and will provide a fix once it is available. Affected users may revert to AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.1 as a temporary workaround." As such you should revert back to the previous 26.6.1 driver which was released earlier this month. In case you were looking to play Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations you will probably have to wait a while if you want the driver to support those games officially. You can find the support article here on Microsoft's website.
