Toss up between Matrix Trilogy and Pirates of the Carribean - I went with The Matrix as I only really enjoyed the 2nd one, 3rd was garbage and 1st was average. Haven't seen the final pirates film as the 2nd one was so crap, so couldn't pass fair judgement on it yet.

I vote Star Wars conditionally; I am referring to the episode 1,2,3 trilogy that were complete garbage. While I'm not a big fan, I can safely say that despite Luke Skywalker being totally irritating in episodes 4,5,6, he was at least better than most of prequels.

The Matrix for sure. It seemed like since everyone was talking about the effects of the first one, they figured they could just crap out 2 more with the same sort of junk. Absolutely horrible.

I agree that the sequels were a let down.

I remember watching a lot of the promotional material for Reloaded and Revolutions and they were like "People are going to love this. The amount of explosions and special effects we've put into these will blow you away."

Listen Hollywood, the majority of us don't care about explosions and special effects. What we liked about the original Matrix film was the superbly crafted plot, the underlying subtext, the stunning cinematography, the character development, and yes - I also loved the kung fu and special effects, but only because they complimented the story like a seasoning to a good meal. The second and third films are just gravy and for this reason FAIL.

When will Hollywood stop destroying good films? It seems all they're interested in are the box office sales.

< Off topic, has anyone noticed that this avatar of me is supposed to be Agent Jones on the rooftop scene?

When will Hollywood stop destroying good films?
When people stop synoymising "Hollywood" and "movie industry" :p
It seems all they're interested in are the box office sales.
Duh, it's hollywood, it's never been any different.

You have to look elsewhere for good films anymore.

I really like the Matrix trilogy, especially the sequels. My vote goes for X-men, but I've never really been a fan of X-men in general.

LtDavidW, you're quite wrong. The majority of people do like movies for explosions and effects. Thats why movies with them in it always seem to bring in a hell of a lot of money. It may be unfortunate that it's that way, but that's how it is.

Yeah I liked all of the Matrix movies. Spiderman and Xmen were just complete crap. Well mostly the third movies in each trilogy, and I just have a dislike for the way the movies were made as well as the comics/series themselves.

i have to say...martrx.

im not saying it was a bad movie...but they ruined it with the trilogy.

the first movie had so much potential, and i thought(think) it was such a good movie, then the second came out, and it was long and boring...didnt really add much, but the ending was decent and made me look forward to the 3rd. then the 3rd came and it was so ....... stupid.

they could of made it awesome, they ruined it.

matrix, the worst? wtf, lol.

Well, yeah. Have you seen the Matrix Revolutions? Nothing in that movie is good, whatsoever.

The one before it had some merits but it was still pretty poor.

I don't think Matrix was the worst at all! Possibly the bigger let down because the first was so damned good. Many of those on that list were just never that great to begin with. Personally I enjoyed the second and third films because I wasn't daft enough to fall for all the hype, I just didn't like the lame ending (why didn't the whole of humanity gang up against the machines or something spectacular?).

I voted for Spiderman as the worst trilogy. The last one was sickening, I wanted to punch the main character and that disgusting "smile".

Lord of the Rings is clearly the best, if you like that sort of thing.

Have you seen the Matrix Revolutions? Nothing in that movie is good, whatsoever.

I beg to differ that it's all bad.

While 75% garbage, the last quarter of the movie - the final fight in the rain and superpunch in particular, is awesome.

Some of the music is great also - have a listen to "Don Davis - Navras".

    • Windows 11 KB5094126, KB5093998 bugging out Office apps but it may not be Microsoft's fault by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. Although the tech giant did not acknowledge any major problems, some users online reported various issues ranging from OneDrive and Dropbox access problems, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. You can read about them in this dedicated piece. While there is still no confirmation about those problems from Microsoft the company has admitted to another bug which we did not report on. The tech giant has confirmed it has received reports of an issue in which certain third-party applications may be unable to launch Microsoft Office apps or open Office documents after installing the Patch Tuesday. This affects both Windows 11 as well as Windows 10. The company says the problem impacts a subset of applications that rely on OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) automation to communicate with Microsoft Office programs. According to Microsoft, affected scenarios involve third-party software attempting to open Office applications or documents from within their own interface. In such cases, the Office program may fail to launch altogether, or the requested document may not open. Oddly there may not be any error message, which probably makes the issue difficult to diagnose. The bug affects several Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other apps in the Microsoft Office suite when they are launched through the affected software. These include tax and accounting software such as CCH Engagement and Workpaper Manager, dental practice management solutions like Dentrix and Softdent, as well as the popular research and reference management tool Zotero. Microsoft adds that other applications using similar Office integration methods could also experience the same problematic behavior. To understand the issue it is important to look at OLE, the Microsoft technology involved. OLE allows different applications to work together and share data, while its Automation feature lets one program control another. Thus this enables third-party software to launch Microsoft Office apps, open documents, and perform tasks automatically without requiring users to switch between programs. Because many accounting, healthcare, research, and business applications rely on OLE automation to interact with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office apps, any disruption can break those workflows. As a result, affected software may be unable to open Office documents or launch Office applications even though the programs themselves continue to work normally. At the moment the company has not provided a permanent fix though it has confirmed that engineers are actively working on a resolution, which will be delivered through a future Windows update. As such additional details will be shared once more information becomes available. In the meantime, Microsoft recommends a simple workaround for affected users whic is to open the Office application or document directly rather than launching it through the third-party program. For enterprise customers and organizations managing larger deployments, Microsoft says an additional mitigation is available. Admins experiencing the problem on their managed devices are advised to contact Microsoft Support for business to obtain and apply the workaround.
