Call of Duty 4 for ?29.99> at ArgosLink>

Also, buy 2 games priced ?29.99 from Argos for ?45 (click the special offers tab on the COD4 link above)

Well I've sorted out two of my preorders for September/October

Fable 2 (Collectors Edition) and Viva Pinata 2 (just the normal edition)

Total ?65.98

Not bad considering I didn't use any Reward points. I'm keeping those for later this year.

Still got a lot of games to preorder!

I will update this topic tomorrow with some more deals, I'm pretty lazy just now and about to go back on the 360:))

Sorry I've still not updated, was playing the PS3 this afternoon.

In the mean time for those of you wanting to preorder Fable 2, here we go:

Fable 2 CE for ?38 >at ZavviLink>

Fable 2 for ?37.99b> at GamLinkb>

(use the ?3 voucher posted earlier, and remember to use any reward points for even more off)Fable 2 for ?38 at ShoLink

(if you are a member at Eurogamer.com you can claim a ?2 voucher which makes it howeverer, you can't use the vouchers for preorders afaik. So you will need to wait until it's released before buying to get this deal!)

I will keep everyone up to date with Fable 2 preorders as the time gets closer.

And when I'm not so lazy I will update the topic with the normal d:pls :p

Yeah I put my preorder in now only to secure it, but I will definitely be on the look out weeks before it releases. I don't want to be left out in the cold when Zavvi possibly turn out the best price and I hold off too long to order. ?38 aint bad for a Collectors Edition though, definitely one of the cheapest I've bought in a long time.

Ah yeah I remember that. I was going to buy it but there was no money in my account at the time when they tried to ship it. So I missed out and never bought the game in the end.

On another note, I also preordered Littlebigplanet and Gears 2 last night..

Gears of War 2 CE for ?42> at ZavviLink>

Cheapest I've found it so far, next best price is Tesco at ?43.61.Gears of War 2 for ?35/b> at AmazLink/b>

Ok time for that update I keep yapping on about..

Will get some fresh ones this week hopefully. I imagine Shopto will have a bundle to compete with Pl** DrunknMunky's Buying Advice **vice ** (I like the sound of that, maybe I'll make it onto Bid:D one day :D)

Anyways, was just thinking it would save you ?5 to buy the 60GB from play at ?180 and then COD4 seperate from Shopto. Shopto are selling it for ?37 but I think Eurogamer have ?2 vouchers still and that would make it ?35. If not, you can still make aLink to Shopto COD4 GOTYD4 GOTY

You can do the same with Lego Indiana Jones, Shopto are selling thLink0"]Link

Someone needs to start the PS3 equivilant of this thread.

I want LBP pre-order deals NOW! :(

I was thinking about it, but there really isn't much in the same way as offers as the 360. It would be pretty bare.

Not to mention there isn't that many PS3 UK owners on Neowin. The bulk are from US.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
