Since disabling email updates on immediate forum replies - who needs the stress! - I've actually found that making this thread a sticky has decreased its visibility, to me at least. Seeing the US Deals thread being updated alongside the stickied UK version has made me realise this.

Still got my 360 S pre-ordered at ShopTo at £184.85, with my fiver off making it £179.85 (from predicting the football), is that the cheapest? I've heard a rumour that Sainsbury's will be selling it for £140, anyone else heard it?

EDIT: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18161002

/me just got from the year 1,002,009 and can confirm the 360S is being sold in Sainsburys for £139.99 which is slightly less than a million years :p

Mind you the new virtual reality 360 is amazing there, its just like the holodeck from startrek.

Sainsburys did sell the Wii (motion plus + resort pack) cheap a couple months ago, but ?139.99 seems far too cheap.

Wish I hadn't pre-ordered from GAME, awful company, still ?199.99, don't have a choice as I've got a bloody gift card :pinch:

You so funny John :p

No but seriously, it's not happening, and certainly not with a supermarket. This type of deal would be something to expect from a retailer like Game/HMV etc. Even then it wouldn't happen. Undercutting the competition by ?60 would prob require sexual favours ;)

..and even if by some miracle supermarkets DID offer it for ?140, you'd get the likes of Game/Gamestation employees buying up all the stock on behalf of the company an then selling them at the R.R.P in their own stores

Well if it is ?140 on release day in Sainsburys I will deffo buy one

Yeah, it's really tempting, but I have to resist. There's absolutely no point for me to buy one while my current one still works perfectly fine.

Have GAME ever sold anything cheap on release day?

Do they even have the buying power now for hardware? Most places have at least twice the number of Sainsburys as GAME stores.

If they do sell cheap anywhere, independent retailers will be buying them, like they did with MW2.

Just found this amazing offer...it's on eBay from a very reputable seller and it is:

Xbox 360 Arcade brand new

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Ethernet cable

Power cables

Component cables

All booklets

No controller or HDD unfortunately, but these are pretty cheap now.

All for ?99.99 or best offer...delivered. Just go here.

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended.
