Honestly, I'll wait until MS releases it on connect. That link needs to be reported or something. There's something hinky about it.

SP1 has been better than the final ed. Just still has bugs and uncomfortable aspects to it. I'd wait for a final release of SP1 if you are not an official MS beta tester. It simply isn't worth it.

The link tells you how to edit a file, thats all. It works fine, and tested fine.

If you don't want to run SP1 RC then pass on it. A lot of people would like the opportunity, and this way is legit and works fine.

Running it 3 days, no issues at all

Why do you want to report a link? People like you ruin it for everyone.

Can anyone report on how good this one is compared to the latest v.275 that's on the Microsoft Connect website? It takes FOREVER to uninstall it so hopefully someone whos tried both can tell me if it's worth installing this newer version. Thanks :)

You should always run the newest version of a SP1 Beta. It fixes things that were previously not working or not tweaked in previous versions.

Well that's the thing, I never had ANY problems with the older version and my system already felt so much snappier... If the latest version of SP1 didn't change all that much over the v.275, it'd be better to save me from the hassle of waiting forever for the thing to uninstall, install it again and just wait for the final...

i cant seem to download is there something special i have to do?

You follow the instructions?

There are 3 updates you need to DL off windows update (each one is seperate).

After downloading 1, reboot, rerun update, download next, reboot, etc. Finally after the 3rd, you'll see sp1 there

It's not on Connect yet. Meh. I'll just wait until it is. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

I dont think it will be on there anytime soon. Never is, they did the same thing before. Everyone known to man had a build by getting it from other sources and the testers are left without it.

i dunno about you guys but my fresh install (installed Sunday NOvember 11th) still feels faster than before. I haven't even had a chance to install all my software yet. So this was just installed and i installed the beta 1 day after so i can definitely say there's an improvement. Also some show stopper bugs in v.275 is the reason why i formatted back to RTM. NOw back on Beta and i love it so far :)

    • This saddens me greatly
    • Well again I do not mind seeing it charge my stuff if it does it well. "yeah charge my phone like that, charge it good"
    • Getting so tired of this push for that new useless slop over the less-useless old slop that at this point I just want M$ to have this nice, big, hearty cup of *FU*.
    • Brave Browser 1.91.168 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package.
