Juno (2007)

You don't say? I knew that, thanks. Daily charts count for daily charts. What the hell does it matter? Monday and Tuesday it beat every other film in theaters, which makes it #1 for those days.

Yes, but that doesn't make it a #1 film. They can't have the advertisements going 'See the #1 movie in America, Juno' because thats still National Treasure.

I know that, that's what I said. It is only #1 for that day, I already knew that don't advertise like that. They couldn't, that would be way to expensive to create new ads every time your film ended up #1 for a day or so. But that doesn't negate the fact that it was still #1 for Monday and Tuesday.

I got the chance to go to a screener, it was a fantastic movie, one of my favorites of the year (last year that is, i saw it in 07). They even gave us a free T-shirt. Awesomeness.

Although, there were "Fox representatives" in the audience with night vision goggles for the WHOLE movie, they also took away our cell phones.

Very well acted indeed... I absolutely love Ellen Page. She did such a great job in Hard Candy and now this.
Agreed. I only wanted to see it cause of her being in it and I'm glad I did. I loved the dialogue especially, it seemed so realistic (as towards how a teenager would react to a lot of things).
I was gonna go see this. Should I take a female with me so I'm not a "lone man taking in a roman-edy"?
I went with 2 male and 1 female friend. There was only about 3 or 4 other guys in the theatre with us but I don't care it was great. Don't take a chick if you don't want to, it's not needed.
And so is the soundtrack.
Bah! That I thought was absolutely horrible.
Yar biggrin.gif I will try to find the scans for you to have a look.
I wouldn't mind that too

I caught the film tonight at my local cinema in a screening and I thought it was amazing and I agree with alot of comments here the film as whole was amazing. I went by myself but I feel I could take a girl to it and she would enjoy it as well.

Ellen Page was amazing.

5/5

Saw it with my girlfriend last night, and we both liked it. But we did find the dialog a bit fake. We don't know anyone who talks like that. They did the same thing in Superbad but it was at least more believable.

Yeah I felt Michael Ceras character was like the same as the Superbad character.

It wasn't meant to be realistic. It was meant to be witty and over-the-top. That's what makes the film so much fun.

I love the soundtrack, especially All I Want Is You and Anyone Else But You (by Michael Cera and Ellen Page). I also like Vampire too.

Yeah I love the Cera and Page song, I got the soundtracks before I watched the film because I liked the artists on the CD

And here I thought I was the only one who liked that song. But I found out that I hate the one with The Moldy Peaches.

 I thought I was the only one who liked it. I like the original, but the one Ellen and Michael sing seems so much more realistic and romantic IMO.

Yeah I found it genuine especially in the context and place of the film its played

I just watched it, I thought it was pretty good but not as good as people are making out to be. I like Michael Cera even though he wasn't in it much. Also, it's a good thing Ellen Page is 20 odd in real life, otherwise I'd have spent most of the film thinking how hot a 16 year old was. I thought her character was slightly irritating but fitted the role, kinda reminded me of Mary-Louise Parker from Weeds and Felicity Huffman from Desperate Housewives. Catchy soundtrack too.

Watched this movie last night...I really enjoyed watching it. I felt a bit of a connection to it as I had my first child at 20 (i know it's not as young as 16, but still young nonetheless). It would have been nice to see Juno and Paulie interact a bit more.

9/10 from me :)

    • Wow, throwback.  VERY VERY briefly - but realised that it wasn't the language I needed for the tasks I was taking on.
    • Apple and Tesla trade secrets reportedly exposed following a Tata Electronics cyberattack by Hamid Ganji Image via Depositphotos.com Tata Electronics has confirmed that it detected a cybersecurity incident in some of its systems. The Indian company is a manufacturing partner of both Apple and Tesla, and the incident may have exposed some trade secrets belonging to the two American companies. The World Leaks ransomware group is said to be behind the attack, and it has reportedly posted up to 200,000 files on the dark web, including component designs and specification documents related to Apple and Tesla products. Tata Electronics told Reuters that its response protocols were deployed immediately and that the “incident has had no impact on our operations across businesses, which remain unaffected.” The ransomware group reportedly sent a ransom demand to Tata Electronics, while Apple has launched an investigation into the incident. World Leaks claims it stole more than 200,000 files totaling over 630GB from Tata Electronics. Some database files on the ransomware group’s website are titled "com.apple.factorydata," which could refer to Apple’s iPhone production operations in India. Moreover, some documents reportedly contain material specifications and quality inspection standards for iPhone circuit board components. However, Apple is not the only affected company. A folder found in the World Leaks database is titled "NV36 Chargeport Controller - North America," which may refer to Tesla Model Y components. Additionally, other files in the database reportedly contain drawings related to Tesla’s Project Highland, the internal codename for the EV maker’s updated Model 3 sedan. To support the authenticity of the stolen files, World Leaks has published documents containing footers that read: "This document contains proprietary and confidential information of Apple Inc." and "information contained herein is deemed confidential, proprietary, and a trade secret of Tesla Inc." Cybersecurity researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia told Reuters that the database also contains emails, event logs spanning several years, and passport copies of employees, including foreign nationals. Both Tesla and Apple have declined to comment on the scale of the incident.

    • If they don't sell enough of the 1st gen then there won't be a 2nd gen
    • Epic fail, should've added an eSata port on the back, also if the memory/NVME are soldered then they're hardly gonna sell any, first thing most people do with their Steamdeck is, or used to be, replacing the NVME with a 2TB one. At that price they should, possibly for the first time, offer an installments option, say 24 months, they may sell a lot if they do. I'm sure they would have no shortage of credit companies willing to partner.
