How can you see with that tiny monitor!!! j/k Glad to know i'm not the only one using a huge display. I take it you watch movies and play a lot of games on that beast.

Certainly do, i love it, most people are surprised my eyes don't hurt, but if it's pushed back a bit, you dont really have to focus to see what your doing, you can't miss it!!!

What size screen have you got? mine is a 37" using DVI to HDMI cable.

Thanks guys for kind words about my setup. The monitors are new 19" Dells. I bought 3 of them this week and paid around $460, they on sale plus don't forget to use your 6% AAA discount. (I replaced 20" ACD monitor). The desk is Fredrick from Ikea if anybody interested.

I believe that I've stated how envious I am (and others) are of your monitor setup...but this is something I didn't notice before...

What, exactly, are the two monitor-looking things behind what I believe to be a webcam?

Go to home depot and get your self a small bag of these:

100 is too many. They should have a smaller bag. Then get a small bag of nylon cables: (what you have their on your right leg)

Peel off the tape and stick a few bases to the back of your desk. Put the wrap through the base and loop it. Then just run your wires through the loops. Work like a charm. You can then use the wire wraps to wrap the exposed wires all neat and run that down the leg or something. If if some are exposed if their all wrapped up tight together it will look a lot cleaner.

Use some double sided tape if the power strip doesn't have any holes to mount it with screws. Stick it on the metal or even to the bottom of the desktop.

@Cephas: Is that the Samsung 204B on the left? Have you considered running it in portrait mode? It would be a perfect match to the 30" with a vertical resolution of 1600 pixels at .255 dot pitch.

Kind of what I had in mind, only that I didn't buy the 3007 because 3008 was about to be released at the time, then the price put me off. Got a 42" 1080P instead. Will update my work and entertainment stations when everything gets here later this week. :)

four screens? damn, what do yo udo w/ all of that space?
Too many screens, don't you think? :p

Where's your server?

I have them mostly for convenience. When programming, I can view multiple source files at the same time plus a reference or two, and I usually have a TV show playing (I don't actually have a TV). I also keep stuff like Winamp, MSN, download programs, etc. on the right screen so they don't distract me. Playing windowed RTS games while browsing the web or watching TV works too. Oh and my server is in the corner on the other side of the room.

It's a 225BW (and Acer X223W on the right). The dot pitch is quite a bit higher but it doesn't really bother me. It doesn't swivel, but back when I had a 2405FPW, the lag from the graphics card's rotation (tried it with ATI and nVidia) made it impractical for most things other than reading.

    • Thanks, Sony and Nintendo, you effectively killed platform-agnostic gaming. Long gone are the days when you could wish to play a specific game on whatever platform you were. Now, you have to buy the hardware just to play that single game. What, you're only interested in THAT game and nothing more? Bad luck, suck it and buy our console.
    • The AI data centers need it more than us so...let them gobble it all up at that price!
    • "CRAZIER than ever!" Crazy Taxi: World Tour is officially coming soon by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Sega announced it is working on bringing back some of its classic franchises in 2023, and while it has taken some time, the company finally gave fans a look at one of these new projects at the Xbox Games Showcase today, which turned out to be a brand-new Crazy Taxi entry. Watch the debut trailer above, which has snippets of gameplay in between the cinematic bits while blasting a track from The Offspring. Dubbed Crazy Taxi World Tour, this installment is aptly being described as being "CRAZIER than ever!" The director behind the original, Kenji Kanno, is helming this new entry as well, which will come with access to five new cities to drive in, competitive multiplayer modes, a vehicle customization system, and more. Axel is returning as a protagonist as well, but this time a mystery driver is offering him the opportunity to take his adventures to the streets in other countries. This will involve Axel chasing down masked villains that have somehow stolen his taxi, which means even more extreme missions and challenges to overcome. "From transporting passengers at top speed to tackling unique side missions and odd jobs across dynamic maps, there are countless ways to drive crazy and rake in big money," says Sega about this new installment after over 20 years. "Perform outrageous drifts, catch insane air, and drive at crazy speeds across five different cities as you work to deliver passengers and complete a variety of missions and challenges." The studio has even confirmed an in-game Arcade Mode that players will be able to access containing the original games for plenty of nostalgic action. Crazy Taxi: World Tour is currently slated to release sometime in 2027 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
    • This and Crazy Taxi are the two games that interested me the most from this showcase.
