I have absolutely NO PORN on my computer. So that Generalization doesnt fit EVERYONE in this country.

Also, Im straight if your gonna jump into the "then you must be gay" comment.

So please, fix your statement. It would be Almost everyone or most would be jailed.

Thank you very much.

Cheers.

People, whose machines I clean from porn spyware, get about that defensive, too.

DVDs are for punks.

Real men print out their porn pics.

Nerds open their porn movies in VirtualDUB, save every 30th image... and then prints them.

:p

What, like sort of a porn flip-book?

...

...

brb, gotta find some paper.

Ok being from Hong Kong I'd like to correct some of your potential views about this specific news and Hong Kong. Long story short, the police is only using the "porn on computer" excuse to settle some of the negative media response regarding the "leaked" celebrity photos. They needed something to be done, so they began to arrest, along with the help of FBI, some potential suspects that leaked the pictures. Porn was found on their computer, and they held them in custody. There had been a lot of criticisms regarding media in Hong Kong, and this was like the catalyst to expose some of the media, teenager influences, much like you have in America with Britney, Lohan and Paris. Obviously rather than having the pictures leaked, Paris released it on DVD, Britney decided to show it to the media, and Lohan, well, rehab.

couldnt say it any better, so your prettty much saying you never watched a porno before? you kidding me , every guy has atleast 1 .. your a liar.

unless we go back saying you are a ***. then whatever lols.

Actually AFAIK it's something like 85% of mans that use, or like Pornography. So it's really possible to find some of the minority here on Neowin.

You should have seen the reaction of a client when I saw a Porn Dialer on a Modem-Equipped computer... In front f his wife....

I got kicked out in few sec.

get used to it

The Chinese are in control now.

I remember how so many Hong Kong citizens on the internet (mostly young people with little experience) were glad about the UK leaving their country and were welcoming China with open arms.

 !

This reminds me of a classic bash.org quote:

<LordChewy> so my dad found my porn folder

<LordChewy> and he was getting all ****ed

<LordChewy> so its all like "does this surprise you? i'm not stupid you know"

<LordChewy> "i know dad"

<LordChewy> "what do you have to say for yourself?"

<LordChewy> at this point i stare at him straight in the eyes and say "C:Documents and SettingsRickyMy Documentsfaxessent faxes"

<LordChewy> and he just shut up

<kingKahn> what is it?

<LordChewy> its his porn folder

On topic: I wonder if people are being arrested for leaked porn rather than 'professionally acted' porn? The former would make sense. If people are getting arrested for the latter then it's Big Brother wanting to be your right hand.

wow

To be fair, I always delete the dirty stuff when I'm done :D

Everyone in America would be in jail if this was a law here.

In Pennsylvania posessing porn is against the obsecenity laws... yet they sell it here figure that out... but if your caught with it by a cop you are charged with posessing obscene material... but you can only be charged if caught with it while causing another crime... its wierd... but techinically here it is illegal to posess

"Hey, you, what are you doing?"

"Oh, sorry officer I was just reading some obscene material while breaking into this house"

"Obscene material!? You're under arrest!"

...ummmm how did it get leaked in the first place.... wouldn't the celebrity have had to done it?

the computer repairer took those pics from his pinkie macbook

those pics are taken (secretly) with iSight-the-webcam by that flicker

Clearly, you weren't diplomatic enough about it then, i've had a few of these and the family is quite supportive about whats happened.

9/10 its the "workmate that came over and googled porn" which is somewhat fair enough. I dont ask for reasons, I just fix problems and give bills :p

.... politely :)

    • Very fitting name since AI users have air where there brains should be.
    • Yes, it was amusing at the time because even then dbrand was well known for stealing the designs of products from other companies. That’s what they do.
    • Didn’t Dbrand once complain that Casetify was ripping off their designs a well? seems pretty bad of them to try and get around Valve’s copyright this way with that in mind.
    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
