Wow, WWE sometimes you are just retarded. You have a great storyline going with Nexus, have Daniel Bryan return, everything is going awesome (ha) with the Miz etc etc etc. And then you have SuperCena pull out the victory and beat Nexus and pretty much bury the whole storyline in a split second. Sigh.

Unless Cena helps Orton win and joins Nexus next or something big happens with Nexus and Miz etc, WWE just dropped the ball bigtime. Not really surprising. WTG Vince!

Wait, they already had the Orton match. NM, Vince is a moron. And Creative needs to get powerbombed.

Vince doesn't care about the "fans", he cares about the money that Cena is bringing in. as long as SuperCena is winning, the more little kids are gonna get mommy and daddy to fork over a lot of money for t-shirts and other crap made in a shop in some poor as dirt country

Well he should care about the fans. Because sooner or later those same kids are going to grow up and get sick and tired of SuperCena (hopefully soon).

Hopefully on RAW something big happens, because if they don't redeem this Nexus thing from SS, the angle is gone.

I do not think he will though. I am not completely sure what will happen, but I mean look, Cena just came out with a brand new shirt/hat/armbands, etc. That is a pretty silly reason perhaps, but it just leads me to believe he will not be heel.

Good call, Yorak. (Y)

Yay, at least SuperCena saved the say in the end. Doesn't anyone in the WWE see how stale his character is?

And yeah, let's build up Nexus and have them lose on their first PPV. The writers are retarded. Hopefully they can do something to salvage Nexus quickly. I've heard some people suggesting a returning HHH could be their leader.

Former WWE wrestler Luna Vachon found dead

The wrestling world is in mourning again with the news that former WWE star Luna Vachon has died.

The female wrestler and manager was found dead at her mother's home in Florida at 10am on Friday morning.

She was 48 and had two sons and one granddaughter.

Her death follows the recent passing of Lance Cade, 29, in a horrid month for the wrestling business.

Luna - who also worked for ECW and WCW - had struggled with demons and depression. The WWE had paid for her to go to rehab on more than one occasion.

The federation confirmed the news on their website, posting: "World Wrestling Entertainment has been made aware of the passing of Gertrude (Luna) Vachon. WWE extends its deepest condolences to the Vachon family.

"Ms Vachon was under contract with WWE at various times from 1993 through 2000, and performed under the name 'Luna' Vachon. She last performed for WWE in early 2000."

The story is being carried by a number of prominent outlets in the States, including celebrity gossip website TMZ.

Meanwhile tributes have been pouring in from Luna's peers on Twitter.

Tommy Dreamer said: "Luna was the first Queen of Extreme. My first manager. Luna passed away on the night of two moons. Pretty unique just like her. Strong woman."

WWE star Goldust remembered her comedic side, posting: "Luna was as freaky as me...maybe even more...love her and will miss her...hopefully she's in a better place."

RIP Luna. :(

I only ever saw her once on TV, at the 2000 Royal Rumble (the first PPV I ever saw) in the swimsuit contest. Most of you will probably remember that because of Mae Young's moment. And now I'm gonna post the video and make you relive that again. :p

RIP :(

An interview with John Cena is available at http://www.bostonherald.com/

Of his movie roles, Cena says "I play a superhuman on WWE television and I played damn near a superhuman in 12 Rounds and The Marine."

The article also includes the following Vince McMahon quotes about Cena:

"You have to start with the quality of the human being. John is an extraordinary human being; he's honest, he's loyal. He's full of himself, too. But he's like a throwback to the type of individual it's difficult find these days, someone with old-fashioned values. In addition to that, he's a Neanderthal when it comes to strength."

?No matter how good you are as a human being, you need talent. You could tell that John had talent - very raw talent, mind you.?

According to the article, Vince held a meeting with WWE talent years ago, saying he was looking for someone who was ready to reach for the brass ring.

"Step on people on the way over if you have to. Apologize later. I'm looking for someone with courage that wants to break out and be ballsy enough to take on the responsibility of being the top guy."

"At the end of the meeting, someone came over and said, ?I'm your man,' and that was John."

Congrats Cena - you just sold your soul to the devil. Give him about 15 years in the business like Bret Hart and i fully expect Vince to pull a repeat of what he did to Bret when he's done with Cena and he quits making Vince money.

The days are quickly counting down to a big date on the calendar for Chris Jericho and he has a decision to make: re-sign with the WWE or walk away.

Jericho has been one of the best all-around performers for the WWE, especially since his return in Sept. 2007 following a two-year hiatus from wrestling. But before the month is over, his contract with the company will expire.

Back in June, Jericho admitted in an interview with FanHouse that his deal was set to expire shortly. "Yeah, it's coming up fairly soon, it's coming up very soon. It's one of those things we've been talking about for a while to get it rolling again. Like I said, to me, I'll leave the business when I'm ready to and I'm not ready yet. I still want to continue to work. I still have some things that I can offer."

"I still think I'm among the best in what I do, if not the best just because of the fact I have 20 years of experience which is a rare thing nowadays. You can't teach experience. You can teach someone to do a promo kind of, you can teach someone to do a move but you can't teach someone experience."

The exact date of when his contract expires isn't known but it is before the end of the month. As of right now, the two sides have not agreed upon a new deal.

While the negotiations continue, the WWE has decided to play off of the situation. This past Monday night on "Raw", Jericho said during a backstage interview that to prove he is the greatest performer in the company, he will win the WWE Title at the upcoming "Night of Champions" pay-per-view or it will be the last you see of him in the WWE.

Of course, he could lose and be right back with things like that happening all the time in wrestling. Jericho was supposed to be gone from "Raw" countless times over the past year, only to appear the following week and finding a loophole in how he could be there.

But there is always that chance that he doesn't agree to a deal and walks. It's pretty clear that Jericho wants to continue wrestling. At the same time, he doesn't need wrestling and has plenty of other projects on his plate.

His band Fozzy is getting set for its "Let the Madness Begin 2010 Tour" which includes 13 concerts from October 9-21 in the UK and Ireland. He's also finishing up his second autobiography "Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps" which is set to be released early next year. When it does come out, he'll likely want to do a book tour to promote it like he did for his first book.

If that's not enough, Jericho is always looking to branch out into other entertainment platforms. He was the host of the ABC game show "Downfall" this summer which could be back this fall. He would like to do more acting and branch out into movies if the right project comes his way.

You never know what else might pop up for Y2J. He recently admitted on Twitter that he was asked to be one of the contestants on the new season of "Dancing With The Stars" but he turned it down because it didn't fit in his schedule. It's actually the second time he has turned down that opportunity due to his WWE commitments.

The man has a lot going on. Watching him with WWE, he is still at the top of his game and he has a passion for wrestling. The question now is will Jericho be able to work a deal with the company that allows him to continue there and also have the flexibility to do other things. That might be tough, especially since the WWE already has a demanding schedule and is typically not very acclimating when it comes to allowing its performers to work elsewhere.

WWE wants control and so does Chris Jericho. Who will blink first?

Chris Jericho Interviewz

Professional wrestlers often say that the most successful wrestling characters are ones that are an exaggerated version of the wrestler's real-life personality.

Fortunately, that's not true in the case of Glenn Jacobs, who says that there are absolutely no similarities between himself and Kane, the menacing character he has portrayed in World Wrestling Entertainment for the past 13 years.

"If there were, I'd probably be in jail," he said with a laugh. "It's like Anthony Hopkins and Hannibal Lecter. It's just so far removed, and you're able to do things that you would never ever dream of doing."

Indeed. The villainous Kane is a tortured soul who takes great delight in torturing his opponents, which over the years have included the likes of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Among the heinous acts Kane has committed in WWE are setting an announcer on fire, dropping former WWE CEO Linda McMahon on her head and applying jumper cables to a foe's groin and connecting them to a battery.

Kane, the current world heavyweight champion, will continue his reign of terror at 1st Mariner Arena on Tuesday night at WWE's "SmackDown" television taping.

Outside the ring, Jacobs isn't nearly as scary. He comes across as a polite, articulate guy who just happens to stand nearly 7 feet tall and weigh more than 300 pounds. When he's not wearing spandex and administering choke-slams as Kane, Jacobs, an active member of the Libertarian Party, writes a political blog called The Adventures of Citizen X and has delivered speeches on Austrian economics.

Jacobs, one of WWE's longest-tenured performers, says he has thought about one day following in the footsteps of former pro wrestler Jesse Ventura and entering the political arena. For now, he's in no hurry to leave the ring.

"I'm still having fun," said Jacobs, 43. "I'm really at the height of my career, and I don't have any plans of packing it in, at least not in the near future."

Jacobs has been enjoying a career revival of late. He had spent the past several years in WWE in more of a supporting role, but the on-again, off-again feud between Kane and his "brother," The Undertaker, has heated up again and thrust Jacobs back into main events.

Jacobs started with WWE in 1995, playing a demented dentist named Dr. Isaac Yankem. The character didn't really catch on, nor did Jacobs' subsequent character, Diesel. However, when he was presented with the chance to play Kane and engage in a twisted sibling rivalry with WWE's legendary Undertaker, Jacobs knew he was onto something.

"Getting to work with The Undertaker right off the bat was a tremendous opportunity," he said. "It was an opportunity to be a career-maker, and fortunately I was able to take advantage of that."

The Kane character has evolved significantly over the years, and that has allowed Jacobs to display his range as a performer.

At first, Kane was a masked mute who was molded after slasher movie villains such as Michael Myers and Jason. Eventually, he lost the mask and found his voice, although he still did most of his talking with his fists. These days, Kane frequently delivers over-the-top monologues, with thousands of fans in packed arenas and millions of television viewers hanging on his every word. Jacobs even starred in the WWE-produced horror film "See No Evil" in 2006. Sometimes, Jacobs doesn't get the script for his matches until 30 minutes before showtime, he said.

"Honestly, I think we in the WWE are very underrated as performers," Jacobs said. "What we do would be very difficult for even an experienced actor. To go out and sometimes have 15 minutes of verbiage, sometimes have to ad-lib and then, of course, have other variables such as the interaction with the audience, it can be challenging."

    • Well I really think the repasting helped if your higher clocks have returned, maybe the next thing to look at is if there is a problem with your case airflow? I guess this because your 3080 has returned to optimal state, but is still staying too warm, which might suggest it was thermal throttling before you repasted, of which the only logical conclusion could be outside factors.
    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know by Hamid Ganji Galaxy Z Fold 7 - Image via Samsung The next generation of Samsung foldables is set to be unveiled next month at the second Unpacked event of the year. Samsung’s 2026 foldables are not expected to offer significant upgrades over their predecessors, with the Korean firm instead focusing on design refinements and conventional upgrades such as faster processors and better cameras. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil an all-new passport-style foldable this year to rival Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is expected to debut this September. Here’s a roundup of everything we know about Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices ahead of their official debut. When can we expect Samsung’s new foldables? The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series were unveiled in July, and Samsung is expected to maintain this timeframe in 2026. Based on previous reports from Korean sources, Samsung will hold its Unpacked event on July 22 in London, UK, to pull back the curtain on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. The devices are also expected to hit the shelves a few weeks after launch. However, Samsung has yet to announce an official date. A new naming scheme? One of the most interesting changes we might see this year is a new naming scheme for Samsung’s latest foldables. SamMobile reported that since Samsung is expected to unveil three foldables this year, it has adopted a new naming strategy to simplify product identification for customers. Accordingly, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 will reportedly be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and will serve as the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The “Ultra” suffix suggests the phone could feature higher-end specifications, such as additional rear camera modules. Samsung’s new passport-style foldable is expected to carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name without any suffix. This model is reportedly equipped with two rear cameras. No major changes are expected for the Flip model. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 anticipated specs Rumors over the past few months suggest Samsung is preparing several upgrades for its upcoming foldables, although the devices may continue to rely on larger batteries and faster charging speeds rather than dramatic design changes. The primary focus this year is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and its wide-screen design. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here are the anticipated specifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra based on previous leaks: 6.5-inch outer display and 8-inch inner display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,600 nits peak brightness Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage 4.1mm thickness when unfolded and a weight of 210g 200MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, 10MP or 12MP telephoto camera, 10MP cover camera, and 10MP selfie camera 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the device is not expected to be a major departure from its predecessor, although it could become slightly slimmer. Expected specifications include: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 processor 12GB of RAM with 256GB and 512GB storage options 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner dispaly and 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer dispaly 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging Android 17 and One UI 9 Samsung’s foldables are also expected to launch with Gemini Intelligence, Google’s AI suite for automating tasks in Android ecosystem. Moreover, given current memory and component costs, some Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 variants could see a price hike. Galaxy Z Fold 8 adopts a wide-screen design The centerpiece of the upcoming Unpacked event could be the Galaxy Z Fold 8, previously rumored as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide. This model adopts a passport-style form factor and is expected to compete directly with Apple’s iPhone Fold. Galaxy Z Fold 8 official CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines Here’s what to expect: 7.6-inch primary OLED display and 5.4-inch cover display, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 4:3 aspect ratio Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage options 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired charging 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 10MP selfie camera Android 17 and One UI 9 The three new foldable phones are unlikely to be the only devices unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event. The company is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and the Galaxy Watch 9 series.

    • 7 Days: Killing uBlock Origin bypasses, Euro Office faces fire, and will AI replace you? by Aditya Tiwari 7 Days is a weekly roundup of picks of what's been happening in the world of technology - written with a dash of humor, a hint of exasperation, and an endless supply of (black) coffee. This week's highlights include WWDC 2026 announcements, updates on child safety, and Meta's use of data from outside businesses to optimize your feed. Let's get started. You can check out the recent issues of the 7 Days weekly roundup. Killing uBlock Origin bypasses The hottest news of the week was about Google Chrome effectively ending most uBlock Origin workarounds (a free, open-source ad blocker extension) by permanently dropping MV2 extensions and their bypasses. Chrome is transitioning towards newer MV3 extensions. A recent discussion thread highlighted how the latest and upcoming versions of the most popular browser are expected to be its final releases with support for MV2 extensions. Genuinely European? Euro-Office faces fire The recently launched cloud-based office suite, Euro-Office, is facing criticism at home. The LibreOffice developer wrote an open letter criticizing Euro-Office for its marketing claim that it's the "first open-source office suite developed in Europe," since the honor has belonged to OpenOffice since 2001. The Document Foundation has called out Euro-Office, arguing that it can't consider "itself genuinely European" as long as it keeps pushing Microsoft defaults on users, adding that "it has to speak ODF as its mother tongue." Will AI replace you? Image: Tara Winstead via Pexels Microsoft's AI boss, Mustafa Suleyman, said in an interview earlier this year that AI would replace office workers within 12 to 18 months. Joining the ranks of top executives who have softened their stance on AI replacing humans, Suleyman recently walked back his earlier remarks and now says that AI will automate tasks, not replace entire white-collar jobs. He defended his earlier comments by arguing that they referred only to individual actions people perform at their desks. Louis Rossmann wants to sue Samsung Image: Louis Rossmann Tech repair entrepreneur and right-to-repair activist Louis Rossmann contacted Samsung support over a failed 4TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD. After back-and-forth communication, Samsung offered a $330 refund instead of a replacement, but Rossmann found that the SSD was readily available for new buyers at a higher price. He has issued a formal 60-day notice and intends to file a suit in Texas small claims court, as Samsung's actions reflect a failure to honor its warranty obligations. Samsung reached out to Neowin to clarify its updated stance that customers in such situations will receive a refund equal to the product's current market price. Child safety or mass surveillance? Image: Jonathan Borba via Pexels Signal accused the UK government of using child safety and device-level explicit content ban as a cover for mass surveillance. Calling the plan "dystopian," Signal warned that it violates everyone's fundamental right to privacy. The messaging platform believes that the government should keep children "safe" and "protected," but it should do so through social services and education. Fears of social media regulation Image via DepositPhotos.com More governments across the globe are tightening their grip on social media and bringing stricter regulations in the name of child safety. Bluesky COO, Rose Wang, warned that social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups and that heavy regulatory compliance costs favor deep-pocketed tech giants while locking out new entrants. Controversial icon: Spotify finally removed the disco ball icon from its app and replaced it with the familiar flat green logo after weeks of mixed reactions online. While some people don't like the new design, the retro, three-dimensional look has generated a following of its own. Even other brands are coming up with their versions of the disco logo. NVIDIA fixes stuff: A new hotfix driver 610.52 fixes various issues related to monitors and displays, noting that G-SYNC-related frame pacing troubles should now be resolved on Ada Lovelace GPUs. The feedback thread also points out that the hotfix patches a BSOD issue. FIFA World Cup tracker: Opera is redesigning its Android browser with a built-in football tracker for the upcoming World Cup in the US. The new homepage is now "more immersive" with easier access to common browser features. Command line for Proton: The Swiss technology company has launched a command line version of the Proton Drive, which you can use to manage your encrypted files directly from a terminal across all major platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Google Tensor production: While TSMC will remain the lead producer, the search giant is reportedly in talks with Samsung to hand over part of the production of its next-generation Tensor AI chips. The upcoming TPUs are reportedly codenamed “Icefish” and will be produced using Samsung's 2-nanometer process technology. Lethal fake phone chargers: UK-based consumer rights organization Which? has warned that "potentially lethal knock-off chargers" are still being sold on online marketplaces, including Amazon and eBay, despite the dangers of such chargers having been exposed. What's different about WWDC: I wrote a detailed feature this week discussing how Apple changed the WWDC keynote this year, blurring the lines between its operating systems. Apple didn't have dedicated segments for its operating systems this year and didn't even publish the official press releases. Liquid Glass slider (finally): It's that time of the year when Apple previews fresh updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, and other platforms. A new transparency slider for Liquid Glass is coming to iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. Is your device supported?: If you're wondering whether your Apple device supports the new developer beta builds, you can check the respective compatibility lists for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and watchOS 27. Siri AI not coming to Europe: Yes, that's true due to complications related to the Digital Markets Act (DMA). While Apple penned a blog post to tell its side of the story, a European Commission spokesperson told Neowin that the DMA does not prohibit Apple from launching its services in the EU; the company is simply required to comply with the law. New child safety features: Apple announced a trove of new safety features for kids, including a simpler setup experience for parents, Ask to Browse, Time Allowances, and a redesigned Screen Time UI. Parents can now visit a new website to find answers to common questions around child safety features. More cloud power: Apple's Private Cloud Compute cloud infrastructure will now run beyond its own data centers for the first time. It's working with Google and NVIDIA to run new Apple Intelligence workloads on Google Cloud systems powered by NVIDIA GPUs. This week in Meta news Catch up on the latest Meta news updates that arrived throughout the week: Data from outside: Meta is rolling out a new update globally to personalize your AI responses and primary feeds using data from outside businesses. It already targets ads based on shopping activity, but the latest development enables it to personalize other "parts of your experience." There is a toggle in the Settings to disable activity from other businesses; however, it won't prevent companies from sending your data to Meta. Level playing field: The European Commission has ordered the social media giant to restore access to WhatsApp for third-party AI chatbots, including ChatGPT and Copilot. Meta previously blocked rival AI chatbots from operating on WhatsApp, prompting the Commission to launch an antitrust investigation. Spying on users: On the flip side, WhatsApp accused the Israeli cyber-intelligence firm, NSO Group, of deploying a fresh wave of targeted "spear phishing" attacks against its users, which were thwarted by WhatsApp's security teams. Reorder profile grid: Adding some customization for the profile grid feature, Instagram now lets you rearrange posts in your profile without deleting and reuploading content.
