Just came across this poll on the WrestleMania site:

Which Superstar would you most like to see as World Champion when Daniel Bryan cashes in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania XXVIII?

1. Mark Henry

2. Sheamus

3. Randy Orton

4. Sin Cara

Bit unusual having Sin Cara there, isn't it? Why not Christian, or the Big Show; someone who's actually in the title picture at the moment? Call me crazy, but maybe there might be a plan to have Sin Cara as the World Heavyweight Champion leading into WrestleMania. Then again, I'm probably just looking too much into it, like a mad person. :p

Speaking of PPV matches, Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting three as-yet-unnanounced matches signed off for Survivor Series (potential spoilers, so I'll use the tags):

Big Show vs. Mark Henry in a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship.

Sheamus/Randy Orton/Kane/Sin Cara Azul/Daniel Bryan vs. Christian/Cody Rhodes/Sin Cara Negro/Wade Barrett/Brodus Clay in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match.

And something else from WON, definitely a big spoiler:

"With Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk and Mark Henry vs. The Big Show in the works for Survivor Series – WWE is already looking to have rematches for both at the upcoming Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view. While things can change, CM Punk is currently scheduled to win the WWE Championship some time this fall – prior to the December 26th RAW supershow from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois."

Anyone here think they meet the requirements to become RAW GM?

post-151617-0-06245100-1319906803.jpg

Anyone think they're hinting as to who the next GM will be with that "job listing"? 10+ years experience, former WHC.

BTW, little dig at JoMo in there. :p

Evan Bourne suspended

In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Matthew Korklan (Evan Bourne) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company?s policy.

...well that's a shocker. Surprised they didn't book a tag title change though. They could have had Air Boom lose the titles (maybe to Swagger and Ziggler), then the new champions beatdown on Bourne, and the announcers could just say he's injured.

Its a shame thats fake.

I know, but it was posted on WWE's Facebook page, so might as well put it on here. :p

o.O at the Evan Bourne suspension. Probably weed or something.

Funny you should say that...

Breaking update: Evan Bourne's WWE suspension

WWE announced Tuesday they have suspended performer Evan Bourne for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company's Talent Wellness Program.

WWE issued a press release stating: "In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Matthew Korklan (Evan Bourne) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company's policy."

Bourne's suspension was not unexpected since he was summoned to a meeting with WWE officials at Monday's RAW SuperShow in Atlanta, Georgia regarding a recent violation of their Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy (a component of the Talent Wellness Program), which according to corporate.wwe.com, "prohibits the use of drugs by talent for other than a legitimate medical purpose pursuant to a valid prescription from a licensed and treating physician."

WWE employees were surprised he and Kofi Kingston didn't lose the Tag Team Championship on RAW. The duo is now expected to drop the titles at tonight's SmackDown! in Greenville, North Carolina since his suspension has been publicly announced.

Many WWE performers believe the recent rash of suspensions is tied to Talent Wellness Program administers cracking down on usage of synthetic cannabis, which was added to the banned substances list in June. Sold under the brand names K2 and Spice, the substance was banned for at least a year effective March 1, 2011 by the Drug Enforcement Administration so they could study its effects more thoroughly and decide whether a permanent ban is necessary.

Bourne is the third WWE performer to be suspended in the past month, following Darren Young and Heath Slater.

Now on to better news; he's baaaaaaack......

Big update: Mick Foley makes his WWE return

WZ reader Stevie Howlin has sent in word that at tonight's WWE house show event in Dublin, Ireland, Mick Foley made his return to the company, and to the ring, as he refereed a match beteen The Miz and R-Truth vs. John Cena and John Morrison.

More details on Foley's WWE return; Mr. Socko, main event

The main event of tonight's WWE house show event in Dublin, Ireland was Alberto Del Rio defending the WWE title againt CM Punk. Punk got the DQ win.

Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez do a 2-on-1 beatdown of Punk, then The Miz and R-Truth run down to make it 4-on-1.

John Cena, John Morrison and Mick Foley run down to even the numbers.

Four faces do finishers to Miz, ending with Mr. Socko. Foley's music plays to end the wrestling.

Punk gets on the mic, puts over Ireland and claims he's part-Irish. Punk with an Irish flag and Cult of Personality playing ends the show.

BANG BANG!!!

1058470.jpg

Well well well, SmackDown was actually fairly good this week!

(Spoilers)

Bit unusual starting off the show with a Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton street fight (once again, non-title), but a nice change for once.

The low point of the show is Natalya yet again jobbing to Alicia Fox. That's just bull***t right there.

The high point of the show has got to be Daniel Bryan (with the Big Show in his corner) in the main event against Mark Henry, then after Big Show gives Henry the DQ win, trying to knock Henry out and get Bryan to cash in his MITB briefcase. I genuinely thought he was gonna do it then! Good thing it didn't happen; save it for WrestleMania.

Seeing as Daniel Bryan's been brought into the Show/Henry storyline now, I'm suspecting one of them's gonna turn heel eventually. Either Big Show out of frustration from losing to Henry again and Bryan's reluctancy to cash in the MITB briefcase so soon; or Bryan out of frustration from Big Show constantly trying to get him to cash in the briefcase.

Breaking News: Chyna in talks with WWE about a return?

Oh my goddess! Has hell frozen over?

The Ninth wonder of the World and former Intercontinental/Women's Champion Chyna has recently appeared on the Howard Stern Show and let the world know she attempted to talk business with Vince McMahon about a possible return to WWE.

Listen to this.

It doesn't reveal too much but the seeds may have been planted. I wonder what VKM thinks about all this.

Though it seems unlikely at this point given her Rated-X activities, a return to WWE could put all other Superstars and Divas on watch. Beware! She is coming.

I thought this interview was cute and sincere?she seemed to have a lot of fun with Howard and I laughed just as much along with them. It felt good to see her smiling and happy if you will.

As a fan of hers for years, I have to say this would be huge news for me. She may not be the same Chyna we knew and loved but her contributions to this sport are timeless.

Things happen for a reason and even though she fell from high above following her troubles with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, we cannot deny her her place in this business.

She is the first woman to ever hold the Intercontinental Championship, after all, and I strongly feel she deserves an eventual place amongst the greats in the Hall of Fame.

I'm so in love with the idea of Chyna taking on Beth Phoenix or Kharma and still hope it can happen in some way in the future. Whether in WWE 12, 13 or in live action?doesn't matter! Her place is in the ring, not in bed with heat-seeking men and their rockets!

All I can add is this, if Bret Hart can come back, so can Chyna.

What do we reckon here, yay or nay? Would definitely be a much-needed turnup for the Divas division...

Bad news for any Peeps here; Christian is out of Survivor Series due to injury:

WWE.com has learned from WWE medical personnel that Christian suffered a severe high ankle sprain while competing on WWE's recent overseas tour throughout Europe. The severity of the sprain has made it impossible for him to compete as a member of Team Barrett against Team Orton at Survivor Series this Sunday. (MATCH PREVIEW)

Christian's ankle injury is further compounded by what transpired a week prior on SmackDown, during which Christian claimed to have suffered a neck injury as the result of a chokeslam at the massive hands of Big Show.

At this point in time, no replacement has been named, nor has it been determined whether or not Team Captain Wade Barrett will be leading a four-man team into Survivor Series this Sunday.

Here's the video of when it happened...

Ouch. :pinch:

Well, it's been all go again, and Survivor Series proved that, like it or not, Zack Ryder is officially one of the biggest stars in WWE right now. He got the biggest pop of the night, and he wasn't even wrestling. The fans were even chanting "We want Ryder!" during the main event, and even during The Rock's post-PPV speech! :D

I won't post the Survivor Series results or the results from this week's RAW; I'll leave that for everyone to look up themselves, but I'll focus on four things for now...

1. Sin Cara picked up a major injury thanks to this botch...

He's ruptured his patella tendon, and will be out of action for 6-9 months.

2. WWE has started to tease the return of (a possibly masked) Kane...

Please come back masked! :D

3. WWE has also started to tease the return of another superstar...

The difference this time is this return has a date (January 2nd, 2012, so on Monday Night RAW), and it wasn't actually played on this week's RAW, they flashed a link to the YouTube channel that this video is on ("itbegins2012") a couple of times during the show. Here is what is said in the video: "Come my people and shut thy doors about thee. For a power shall come to punish the meek for their inequity. For on the 2nd day of 2012, a familiar force shall arrive to claim what is his. And it will be the end of the world as you know it."

Now the obvious one here is The Undertaker, as they're bound to bring him back sometime around the Royal Rumble and hype everything up for his final WrestleMania match to level out the streak at 20-0.

The next suggestion that most people are touting is Chris Jericho, which does have a bit of logic behind it. I saw this comment, analysing the video: "Globe in background = 'Best in the world at what he does', Taking back what is mine = Jericho wants to take his gimmick? back, 2012 = Year = Y, 2nd = 2, January = J, Plus coming back in 2012 mirrors when he came in 2000. 2012 = End of the world, 2000 = Y2K Incident end of the world thing"

And the final suggestion I've seen is Batista. And this one has as much good logic behind it as the Jericho one does: "This scripture the boy is reading is from Isaiah 26:20 through the end of the chapter. In chapter 27, the "force" that God's sends is named Leviathan. That was Batista's name in OVW. Also, it would be the "end of the world as we knew it." That was the recurring theme for the PPV? Armageddon in which Batista debuted."

So out of those three, I'd personally pip for Jericho, with Batista a very close second. Although knowing WWE, they'll probably punish us for overanalysing and it's just The Undertaker.

And finally, a bit of a shocker that came out only a few hours ago...

4. R-Truth suspended for wellness policy violation

Two days removed from headlining Madison Square Garden at WWE Survivor Series 2011 against The Rock and John Cena, R-Truth has been dealt a 30-day suspension from the WWE.

Via WWE.com:

In accordance with the Talent Wellness Program, WWE (NYSE:WWE) has suspended Ron Killings (R-Truth) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company?s policy.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that when Evan Bourne was dealt his 30-day suspension for smoking synthetic marijuana, there was another WWE Superstar who failed with him, but due to being higher up on the card, his suspension had to be postponed. R-Truth's suspension should clear that mystery up.

This comes at a terrible time for R-Truth, as he was in a great team with The Miz, and were likely on their way to tag team gold (or, bronze?). He's an excellent comedy heel with decent in-ring skills, and as I mentioned, just came off of headlining MSG in one of the biggest shows of the year.

The "Little Jimmies" might be getting the last laugh here, but I can't help but feel bad for a star who has so much momentum, only to fail a test for something like synthetic marijuana. Since this is R-Truth's first violation, maybe he'll return and be right where he left off. Keep an eye on Evan Bourne and what happens when he returns, as it should give us a good idea of what to expect when R-Truth's 30 days are up.

Definitely a shocker, but this explains why WWE decided to break up Awesome Truth then. I thought they were just being stupid and copying one of TNA's storylines (breaking up one of their best tag teams when their division is already lacking in talent as it is).

I havent seen RAW yet so Ive skipped thru all the comments in the thread :p Incase I repost something:

Dolph Ziggler John Morrison : Could have been intresting but overshoweded by the chants. I think the Ryder attack wasnt planned but the WWE just saw so many people yelling his name, they had to give the crowd what they wanted.

Beth Phoenix Eve: Generally same old, same old. The lumberjill seemed to try to make a divas match more intresting but the glam slam from the top rope made the match have its moment.

The Rock promo: This wasnt a match or anything but the best moment of the night and just shows that the Rock still can deliver one hell of a promo. The best of the night.

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team: Nothing really special about it. Not sure if Sin Cara's injury was fake or not because botching a move is dangerous to do it on purpose but seeing how this guy enters the ring every match, he problably botched it correctly and it was just a setup.

Big Show Mark Henry: We actually saw "some" wrestling from the Big Show in this match. Arm drag takedown? WTF? Was entertaining but TLC between these two is going to be "huge" (pun intented). I hope it isnt a stupid chairs match.

CM Punk Alberto Del Rio: Second "best" (I use best loosely) moment of the night and best match. On TV, Punk talked too much to Rio to tell him the moves that were going to happen when he was whipped into the ropes which kinda messed it up. But good match over all.

John Cena The Rock Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth): Again nothing special about this one: You can resume it by saying Cena gets his ass kicked and the Rock makes comeback and wins it. I do have to point out that The Rock actually looked "natural": He didnt look out of shape, physically nor in wrestling style. He was limited ring time as problably in case he botched something as he wasnt 100% in shape but the minutes we saw him, pretty good.

On that note, I wish John Cena has a serious (and real) injury and they make it Triple H vs The Rock. These two need a match for Wrestlemania for their ego, so to speak. The thing with John Cena is that nothing works: He sucks up: Nothing. Foley helps: Nothing. Speeches he does: Nothing. It doesnt work for the fans. What he needs to do is what every big star was once done in their carrer: Go heel. The Rock, Triple H, (even) Austin, Big Show, HBK, etc etc. Every single one of them in one point has gone on a major heel turn. Its a perfect time now, now that they are hyping the Rock vs Cena match (if they still go thru with it).

I havent seen RAW yet so Ive skipped thru all the comments in the thread :p Incase I repost something:

OK, I'll make sure to not say anything that happened on this week's RAW in this post. ;)

Dolph Ziggler John Morrison : Could have been intresting but overshoweded by the chants. I think the Ryder attack wasnt planned but the WWE just saw so many people yelling his name, they had to give the crowd what they wanted.

I think the Zack Ryder run-in was planned. Over the weekend on Twitter, Ryder kept posting a #ManhattanScrewjob hashtag, and also did #RyderOrRiot at one point, he was almost certainly building it up.

Beth Phoenix Eve: Generally same old, same old. The lumberjill seemed to try to make a divas match more intresting but the glam slam from the top rope made the match have its moment.

Yeah, mostly a boring match; Lumberjack/jill matches always are. Its only saving grace being the finish. Oh, and the fact that Beth Phoenix rightly retained. :)

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team: Nothing really special about it. Not sure if Sin Cara's injury was fake or not because botching a move is dangerous to do it on purpose but seeing how this guy enters the ring every match, he problably botched it correctly and it was just a setup.

Sin Cara's injury unfortunately is real. He's ruptured his patella tendon, so he needs surgery, and then he'll be out for 6-9 months of rehabilitation.

Big Show Mark Henry: We actually saw "some" wrestling from the Big Show in this match. Arm drag takedown? WTF? Was entertaining but TLC between these two is going to be "huge" (pun intented). I hope it isnt a stupid chairs match.

Even though the Big Show was slower than Kevin Nash in setting up for that top-rope elbow drop, that was a huge moment. Pun intended. :p

CM Punk Alberto Del Rio: Second "best" (I use best loosely) moment of the night and best match. On TV, Punk talked too much to Rio to tell him the moves that were going to happen when he was whipped into the ropes which kinda messed it up. But good match over all.

I had this thought in the back of my head that Del Rio was gonna retain the title, but when Justin Roberts announced Howard Finkel as CM Punk's personal ring announcer, that thought was immediately eradicated. :woot: I think that has to be my favourite moment of the night. I really missed The Fink.

[. . .]

The difference this time is this return has a date (January 2nd, 2012, so on Monday Night RAW), and it wasn't actually played on this week's RAW, they flashed a link to the YouTube channel that this video is on ("itbegins2012") a couple of times during the show. Armageddon in which Batista debuted."

[. . .]

Some people have gone for the following code to suggest it may be Chris Jericho: Y (YouTube), 2 (2nd), J (January). YouTube may well be more involved with this storyline considering all WWE did during Raw was flash up the link :)

In regard to the Batista idea, the age added to the itbegins2012 channel is set at 43. Neither Chris Jericho nor The Undertaker will be 43 in 2012, but Batista turns 43 on January 18. That's an interesting development because that added age could be a clue, but I don't believe it's related to Batista because he won't quite be 43 by the time this character is apparently returning.

These two need a match for Wrestlemania for their ego

What the hell are you on about?

What he needs to do is what every big star was once done in their carrer: Go heel

Again, what the ****?

Are you like 10? Have you just started watching WWE in the last 2 years?

Cena has been an awesome heel before!

Thanks :) Saw RAW now but thanks

I think the Zack Ryder run-in was planned. Over the weekend on Twitter, Ryder kept posting a #ManhattanScrewjob hashtag, and also did #RyderOrRiot at one point, he was almost certainly building it up.

I dont use or follow Twitter, more so on WWE. They abuse it with al the promotion they give it.

Yeah, mostly a boring match; Lumberjack/jill matches always are. Its only saving grace being the finish. Oh, and the fact that Beth Phoenix rightly retained. :)

I thought the story was going to be basically Karma coming back and pretty much destroy Beth. But Chyna was rumored (as stated above) to return so....

On another story, its too bad Natalya doesnt wrestle more. She is a Hart and anything that comes out of there has some wrestling skills. I think the rest just suck so much :p she cant stoop dont to that level :p

Sin Cara's injury unfortunately is real. He's ruptured his patella tendon, so he needs surgery, and then he'll be out for 6-9 months of rehabilitation.

Strange that highfligher botch moves like that, not only that but botching a spot like that is very dangerous. First, a violation of the Wellness policy and now this. Hunico should go back to being Sin Cara as this stupid gimmick they have given him is just lame.

Even though the Big Show was slower than Kevin Nash in setting up for that top-rope elbow drop, that was a huge moment. Pun intended. :p

I dont know if he was hyping it up or if he was about to **** himself.

Didnt really matter if he was or wasnt going to retain. We will see ANOTHER match a TLC. Next week on RAW, Punk loses, he gets his little rematch clause at TLC in a TLC match, etc etc. The cycle continues.

I thought the story was going to be basically Karma coming back and pretty much destroy Beth. But Chyna was rumored (as stated above) to return so....

No chance of that; Kharma is currently 6 months pregnant. She won't be back until next May. And before she left anyway, they pretty much set up a rivalry between her and the Bella Twins.

Oh yeah, and the Chyna rumour was eradicated a while ago, as last week, she then announced that she wanted to return to TNA. Clearly WWE saw some sense for once and said no to her. She was great in her heyday, but I wouldn't want her in there now, even with the Divas division in its current state.

Oh BTW, new Botchamania! (I should remember to post each one when they come out; it's been ages since I last posted one on here :p )

What the hell are you on about? Again, what the ****? Are you like 10? Have you just started watching WWE in the last 2 years? Cena has been an awesome heel before!

I dont watch every single WWE weekly show or even PPV. And chill, its fake remember :/

AFAIK, Cena hasnt been sold as a real heel since a long time ago, and at most a couple of times. I never said he wasnt or was a great heel, Im just saying that he should go heel now.

On another note, come on, did they really have to censor the F when The Rock said WWF tag team titles? Thats what they were back in the day and period.

AFAIK, Cena hasnt been sold as a real heel since a long time ago, and at most a couple of times. I never said he wasnt or was a great heel, Im just saying that he should go heel now.

From a business standpoint, I disagree. And that's how WWE is taking things. Turning Cena heel would essentially please the IWC, and a lot of adult fans, but it's not really gonna make them money. Sure, it may increase their viewing figures a tiny bit, but that wouldn't replace the lost money. Cena's merchandise is on the slide a bit though. CM Punk is now #1 in terms of merch sales, and Zack Ryder's hot on his heels too, having broke into the top 10 last month. If Punk and Ryder end up being #1 and #2 (in either order), then who know? Maybe they might try the heel turn...

On another note, come on, did they really have to censor the F when The Rock said WWF tag team titles? Thats what they were back in the day and period.

Sadly, yes, they did have to censor the "F" in "WWF", because of those arses at the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (who call themselves "WWF", even though it should be "WWFN"). They allow them to say "World Wrestling Federation in old videos now, but still don't allow any "WWF" mentions.

They also don't have to censor the old WWF logos, but only pre-Attitude Era, so this: 150px-WWFLogo84-97.png is allowed, and this: 150px-WWFLogo94-98.png is also allowed, but this: 150px-WWFLogo98-02.png is not allowed and must be blurred out in all videos.

    • The comment about clock speeds not changing is actually not really true. Due to aggressive power management, clock speeds on an idle system are lower now than they have been in decades. It isn't uncommon for a laptop to be hovering right around 1GHz if it isn't working on anything. Yes you right that more work gets done with each cycle, but you are still dealing with a nearly 5x difference between low and high power states, which can change how snappy the interface feels. I totally agree with you about the action center and other Windows UI elements taking a shameful amount of CPU cycles to do basic functions, but I see that as a separate conversation. While I do agree with the "don't sweep that under the rug" concern, I also don't want to get into a debate about what things deserve a boost or not. In my opinion, boost all the things, get the full value from your CPU. Keep in mind, we are talking about milliseconds of boosting, it isn't meaningfully going to change power consumption.
    • Windows 11 gets better widgets, new Screen Tint feature, and more in the latest build by Taras Buria While we usually cover Experimental and Beta builds together, this week's Beta updates are worth a separate article, as they offer more changes and new features than the other build. If you are a Windows Insider with a computer enrolled in the Beta Channel, you can download build 26220.8680 or build 28020.2298 (26H1). Today's release introduces long-anticipated improvements to Windows Widgets, a new display accessibility feature, File Explorer, and more. [Widgets] We're working to make Widgets feel less distracting and overwhelming by making the experience quiet by default. To do this, we're releasing a new set of default settings designed to reduce unexpected alerts and visual interruptions. These changes include: Disabling Open on hover by default Turning off Taskbar badging by default Opening to widgets experience on first launch Placing Weather as the only default widget on the lockscreen Restricting the number of Taskbar alerts that can be sent daily Limiting Taskbar alerts until you choose to open and engage with the Widgets experience As we continue to make Widgets feel less distracting, we've also made a small but meaningful visual update to taskbar badging. For those that have taskbar badging on, the badge color will now match your Windows accent color instead of always appearing red, reducing the sense of urgency that something needs your immediate attention. However, we still want it to be easy to find missed information so we now support badges on the icons in the Widget navigation bar that can show you the number of missed alerts from that specific dashboard; and badges clear automatically when you leave a dashboard, making it easy to track what's new. And if you don't want badges at all in your navigation bar, there's a setting to turn them off. We're also quieting down a user's experience based on their level of engagement, so that existing users also have a less distracting experience. For example, a user who barely engages with Widgets and would benefit from having the experience quieted down with taskbar badging turned off as it is for new users who experience it as quiet by default, as compared to a user who highly engages with Widgets and likely has their settings set to a state that works best for them and don't need some adjustments. You can also easily turn features like Taskbar badging on or off through Widgets settings, which is now a full screen experience that's easier to read. In pursuit of memory savings across the system, Widgets also now leverages device characteristics and user behavior patterns to optimize memory use. This includes things like a smaller default memory footprint, giving back memory faster when not in use, and limiting pre-launch on devices with lower memory capacity. Please share your feedback to let us know how these changes are working for you or if you encounter any issues with your quieter Widgets experience. Feedback: Share your thoughts in Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Widgets. [Accessibility] New accessibility setting: Screen tint (also available in the 26H1 build) We're introducing screen tint, a new accessibility setting that applies a color overlay across your entire display, softening its intensity so it's easier on your eyes throughout the day. If bright, saturated screens leave you with tired or sensitive eyes by the end of a long session, screen tint can help. To get started, open Settings > Accessibility (or press Win + U) and look for screen tint under the Vision section. From there you can: Pick from six preset colors or choose a custom color of your own. Adjust the tint strength slider from a subtle wash to full intensity. Night light warms your display to reduce blue light that can interfere with sleep. Screen tint reduces overall screen intensity to ease eye fatigue and light sensitivity during the day. They tackle different problems and you can use both at the same time, one working on warmth and the other on intensity. Note that turning on screen tint will disable color filters, and vice versa. If you currently rely on color filters, you may need to keep screen tint turned off. [Windows Magnifier] Magnifier now gives you more control over how you zoom. You can type an exact zoom percentage directly in the magnifier toolbar to land on precisely the level you need. We've also added preset step increments (5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, and 400%) to the Settings dropdown, so you can jump to common levels in a single click. Whether you need a subtle boost or a dramatic close-up, Magnifier adapts to how you want to zoom. Feedback: Share your thoughts in Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Accessibility > Magnifier [Input] Update: The emoji panel (Windows key + period (.)) now uses GIPHY as the GIF provider, delivering a smoother GIF browsing and sharing experience following the deprecation of Tenor. [Remote Recovery Management] Adding recovery remote management plug-in for extending WinRE management capabilities for MDM providers [File Explorer] The address bar now supports paths containing double backslashes and quotation marks (for example, C:\Users\user or "C:\Users\user"), improving compatibility with a wider range of inputs. Improved performance when mounting large ISO files by preventing File Explorer from becoming unresponsive during SmartScreen checks. The address bar suggestion dropdown is more reliable and now consistently closes after an item is selected. This update addresses an issue on File Explorer Home where OneDrive files could appear duplicated in the Favorites section. This update includes several refinements to the Rename experience: Addresses an issue where text was repeatedly selected when renaming items in folder views. Addresses an issue where case-only name changes were not immediately reflected in folder views for items stored locally or in the cloud. [Windows Update] If you were seeing error 0x800f0843 when attempting to install the previous update, that should be resolved now. • Microsoft releases big Windows 11 25H2, 24H2 Release Preview with Recovery, Update features by Sayan Sen Microsoft has released today new Release Preview channel builds for Windows 11 Insiders. The new builds, 26100.8728 and 26200.8728, are for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 flighters, respectively. Meanwhile 26H1 flighters get 28000.2333. The new builds include new features related to Windows Update, Recovery, and more. The full changelogs, which are quite long today, are given below. First up we have for Builds 26200.8728 and 26100.8728: Gradual rollout This section highlights some new features and enhancements for Windows 11 PCs, including AI-powered capabilities, continuous innovation, and performance improvements. [Point-in-time restore for Windows] New! This flexible recovery feature helps you quickly roll back your PC, including apps, settings, and personal files, to a recent automatic restore point. It helps reduce downtime and simplifies troubleshooting when issues occur. To learn more, see Point-in-time restore for Windows. [Windows Update] New! A calendar experience in Windows Update settings (Settings > Windows Update) lets you pause updates by choosing an end date, for up to 35 days. You can extend the pause by selecting a different end date and re-pause updates as needed. [Widgets] New! A quieter, more focused Widgets experience helps reduce interruptions and improves default settings and notification controls: Reduce distractions: Widgets no longer open on hover. Notifications and taskbar badges are minimized by default, and badges use colors that match your Windows accent. Simpler: Open to the Widgets dashboard by default on first use. New users see a simplified experience on lock screen with Weather as the only default widget. Customize: Configure Widgets the way you want by selecting Settings in the navigation bar, then changing any default settings. Stay informed: Dashboard icons show the number of alerts, and badges clear automatically when you leave a dashboard. Adjusted defaults: Some default settings are preserved based on usage, while others adjust to reduce interruptions. Performance improvements: This update provides improved reliability, responsiveness, and visual quality across the Widgets experience. [Accessibility] New! This update makes your screen easier to see and helps you customize your zoom experience: Screen tint: Apply a full-screen color overlay to help reduce eye strain and improve readability. Choose from preset tint options, adjust intensity, or turn it on automatically. Find this feature in Settings > Accessibility. Magnifier: Enter a zoom percentage directly and change it in increments in the Magnifier window for more precise, flexible control. Magnifier settings menu: Modify zoom increments directly from the Magnifier bar instead of navigating to Windows Settings each time. [File Explorer] When you hover over a file in File Explorer Home, commands such as Open file location and Ask Copilot appear as quick actions. This experience is now supported for work and school accounts (Entra ID). This feature isn't available in the European Economic Area. The address bar now supports paths containing double backslashes and quotation marks (for example, C:\Users\user or "C:\Users\user"), improving compatibility with a wider range of inputs. [Bluetooth] This update improves reliability and performance when connecting to and using Bluetooth devices: New! Windows now keeps the microphone mute state in sync between the audio mixer and the Hands-Free Profile (HFP) for a more consistent experience with Bluetooth headphones with mute buttons or indicators. Device compatibility: Improves compatibility with certain Bluetooth audio devices, helping AirPods appear faster in pairing mode and improving microphone reliability on Beats Studio Pro headphones. Bluetooth audio stability and quality: Improves Bluetooth audio stability with certain PC manufacturer drivers (error code 0x9F). Improves Bluetooth audio quality and reliability for voice calls when using classic audio devices with the Hands-Free Profile (HFP). Improves reliability of LE Audio streaming after a connection is lost and restored. Reduces time for LE Audio accessories to start playing audio while using the microphone. Device management: Bluetooth device removal is now more reliable when the Bluetooth radio is disabled or changed after pairing, reducing occurrences of the "Remove failed" message. Settings experience: Improves stability when using the Bluetooth & devices settings page for a smoother, more consistent experience. Connection reliability and responsiveness: Reduces the time it takes for classic Bluetooth audio devices to reconnect after Windows resumes from hibernation. Improves reliability when LE Audio accessories disconnect, such as when another device (for example, a phone) connects. [Bluetooth and Phone Link] This update improves audio routing for calls made through a connected phone: When an outgoing call is dialed from a paired phone, audio remains on the phone while ringing and transfers to the PC only when the call is answered from the PC. When Do Not Disturb is enabled on Windows, incoming call audio from a paired phone no longer rings on the PC. [Voice access and voice typing] New! You can now use voice access and voice typing in French, German, and Spanish. As you speak, your PC improves your text in real time. It corrects grammar, punctuation, and recognition errors, and helps improve clarity, even in the presence of background noise. This makes dictation smoother and reduces the need for manual edits. Available on Copilot+ PCs. [Audio] This update improves the reliability of the inbox HD Audio driver. [Taskbar] This update improves the reliability of invoking the Start menu when clicking the left edge of the taskbar when icons in the taskbar are left-aligned. [Emoji panel] The emoji panel (Windows key + period (.)) now uses GIPHY as the GIF provider, delivering a smoother GIF browsing and sharing experience following the deprecation of Tenor. [Networking] This update includes networking improvements for virtualized environments. Confidential Virtual Machines (CVMs) now use SR-IOV hardware acceleration by default for improved network throughput, and a configuration issue in nested Hyper-V virtualization network setup has been corrected to ensure reliable VM network provisioning. This update improves the reliability of the Windows networking stack. It reduces bug checks (blue screen errors) related to Wi-Fi power and improves cellular (WWAN) connectivity, including support for IPv6 VPNs. Compatibility with third-party VPN software and SR-IOV configurations on server hardware is also improved. Network adapter settings and bindings are now preserved across OS upgrades. [Printing] New! New printer installations use Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) by default when supported, simplifying setup and improving reliability. To control this behavior, use the toggle in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Default install printers using Windows Ready Print. [Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)] This update improves usage of WSL in mirrored networking mode with VPNs. [Display and graphics] Improves reliability of rendering content while scrolling for certain apps spanning across multiple monitors. Improves reliability and persistence of applying color profiles. [Location services] This update changes how some location settings are displayed in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location to help with clarity. When location services are turned off, settings like Default location and Allow location override do not immediately apply, since location information is not given to apps or services. These settings are now greyed out when location services are off to reduce confusion over when they take effect. [Search] This update improves the reliability of setting Search-related group policies. [Input] New! You can now customize the size of the right-click zone in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad. Choose from default, small, medium, or large to control how much of the bottom-right corner responds to a single-finger right-click. This setting is only available on touchpads with a pressable surface. If your device manufacturer provides customization through their app, a Custom option appears to reflect those settings. This update also improves recognition of English characters when using Japanese handwriting. [General Reliability] This update makes underlying changes to help improve explorer.exe reliability, including addressing reliability issues on the login and lock screens related to the use of third-party credential providers, reducing the probability of taskbar icons appearing as blank gray placeholders, improving reliability of navigating to File Explorer Home during OneDrive sync, improving explorer.exe reliability when switching between multiple desktops, improving app launch reliability when shell extensions are installed, and addressing reliability issues related to acrylic blur effects in Start menu, Settings, and the lock screen. Normal rollout This non-security update includes quality improvements. The following summary outlines key issues addressed by the KB update after you install it. Also, included are available new features. The bold text within the brackets indicates the item or area of the change. [Secure Boot] With this update, Windows quality updates include additional high confidence device targeting data, increasing coverage of devices eligible to automatically receive new Secure Boot certificates. Devices receive the new certificates only after demonstrating sufficient successful update signals, maintaining a controlled and phased rollout. [Authentication] This update improves Netlogon secure channel connections between domain controllers, enabling successful connections from member servers to domain controllers set up before 2025. [Networking] This update improves how your device connects to shared network resources. Connections used by apps and system features, such as the NetUseAdd function, now work more reliably, including unauthenticated (null session) connections. [Start Menu] This update improves the Start menu experience, allowing newly installed or removed apps to appear without requiring sign-out or restart. This mainly affects apps that create a Start menu folder with multiple shortcuts. [Taskbar] This update improves notification badge display across your apps. Notification counts and badge visuals now update correctly, helping you stay up to date with new activity. Up next we have build 28000.2333: Gradual rollout Windows 11 PC experiences This section highlights some new features and enhancements for Windows 11 PCs, including AI-powered capabilities, continuous innovation, and performance improvements. [Magnifier in Windows] New! Magnifier now provides clearer and more consistent announcements when working with a screen reader. You'll hear helpful announcements when you zoom in or out, switch views, turn color inversion on or off, or turn Magnifier On or Off. This makes it easy to stay oriented while you work. New! Magnifier now supports magnification of permitted protected content. This update improves smoothness when moving Magnifier in lens mode. [Task Manager] New! Task Manager now offers improved visibility into NPU usage on PCs with an NPU. New optional NPU and NPU Engine columns are available on the Processes, Users, and Details pages, along with NPU Dedicated Memory and NPU Shared Memory optional columns on the Details page. Neural engines that are part of a GPU now appear on the Performance page, providing a more complete view of AI-related activity. A new optional Isolation column on the Processes and Details pages shows which apps are running in an AppContainer. You can add any of the new columns by right-clicking a column header in Task Manager and selecting them from the menu. This update improves CPU speed display on the Performance page of Task Manager for VMs, so it doesn't show higher than unexpected numbers after resuming from hibernate. [Camera] New! Windows 11's Multi-App Camera feature allows multiple applications to access your camera stream at the same time. Basic Camera mode in Windows 11 enables simplified camera functionality, useful for troubleshooting or improving stability when your camera is not working correctly. Enterprise admin can now set Multi-App Camera mode or Basic Camera mode through Group Policy, under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Camera > Configure Camera Options. [Windows Setup] New! You can now choose a custom name for your user folder on the Device Name page during Windows setup. The updated experience makes it easier to select a custom name during setup only. If this step is skipped, Windows uses the default folder name and continues setup as usual. User folder names must follow standard Windows naming requirements. [General Performance] This update accelerates app launch and core shell experiences such as Start menu, Search, and Action Center. [Personalization] This update improves: Color selection accuracy when adjusting your accent color to match your wallpaper when the automatic accent color selection is enabled in Personalization settings. This update reduces unexpected authentication blocks in Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security by resolving missing secure enrollment metadata. This update improves sign-in behavior on the lock screen and sign-in screen. When Windows Hello face or fingerprint is set up and available, it is now the default sign-in method every time you sign in, even if you used a different method previously. If you need to use your Windows PIN instead and use it three times in a row, Windows will stay with PIN until you switch to another sign-in method. [Windows Search Box] Windows Search will now find and prioritize files with as few as two characters. [Storage] The dialog box for creating a Dev Drive now supports specifying the size in gigabytes (GB) instead of only megabytes (MB). This option is also available when resizing volumes in Settings > System > Storage. In Settings > System > Storage, you now see a User Account Control (UAC) prompt only when you choose to view temporary files, instead of immediately when opening the page. [USB] This update improves reliability for displays attached to USB4 docks and hubs. These displays now light up more consistently, particularly when coming out of standby. The USB3 stack is updated to have additional resiliency and recovery measures in place against certain unexpected hardware faults and conditions. Users will experience higher reliability with USB devices. [Sensors] This update improves resiliency against apps that could keep the sensor hub powered on and drain power, impacting battery life. [Human Interface Device (HID)] This update improves battery life related to the HID and Input stack for failed HID devices. Power hygiene is also improved against applications that might initiate HID transfers during standby. [Input] The update improves: Reliability of the touch keyboard on the sign-in screen, including when entering or changing a password. Reliability of explorer.exe when closing the input switcher. Performance when opening or navigating to clipboard history. [Fonts] The Times New Roman font family is updated to improve the rendering of combining diacritical marks across Greek and Cyrillic scripts. This update provides more accurate and visually consistent text by addressing mark positioning issues. These changes improve readability, reduce rendering inconsistencies, and better support global language users working with Greek and Cyrillic content. [Task Scheduler] Task Scheduler now saves column width adjustments in task list view across sessions. [Desktop icons] This update improves reliability of loading desktop app shortcuts.
