just wondering, where's captain charisma? R-truth?... just been watching sommy funny wwe stuff, and was wondering where they are

Christian had shoulder surgery back in September, and R-Truth picked up a bad gash on his knee (which there is a picture of if you search for it) back in December at TLC. No idea when either one will be back.

I hope that the rock loses to punk, not that I don't like the rock, i'm a fan, but the god**** obvious is so boring lately :(

and I guess that the shield is gonna win and there will be a WM macht for them...

as for the rest meh... not that excting (or I missed something)

It'll be a bit of a surprise if that's the case, as we know they typically go to Madison Square Garden for the anniversary ones.

MSG is too small to hold Mania now. Vince wants football stadiums.

What I would give to see WrestleMania held at Wembley Stadium...

Not going to happen. Would have to start at midnight local time.

anyone gonna watch the PPV?

I've got a week off university, so I'll probably watch it live, but I bet I'll end up regretting it, just like the Royal Rumble.

Let's hear some predictions! Here's the card so far...

YouTube pre-show: Brodus Clay and Tensai vs. Team Rhodes Scholars: I'm going with Rhodes Scholars. Maybe this is WWE's way of getting them back together, as the word backstage hasn't been good since they were split up.

Alberto Del Rio © vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship: I reckon it'll be third time lucky for the Big Show.

Antonio Cesaro © vs. The Miz for the WWE United States Championship: This is a tricky one. Cesaro would look pretty bad if he lost to The Miz, especially after the past few weeks. But The Marine 3 is out next month, so I wouldn't be surprised if they let The Miz win to try and raise awareness for the movie. I'm going to pick Miz.

Jack Swagger vs. Chris Jericho vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton - Elimination Chamber match to determine the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29: Trickiest one of the lot. It definitely won't be Jericho, as Fozzy's back touring next week (they're actually coming here to Plymouth in April supporting Drowning Pool). I wouldn't go for Bryan or Kane either, due to them still being tag champs, although they could have one of them win and use that to break them up. Screw it, I'll be a maverick and go with Jack Swagger.

The Shield vs. Team Sell No: ...well I think you can tell who I'm going for, looking at the team name for Cena, Sheamus & Ryback.

Kaitlyn © vs. Tamina Snuka for the WWE Divas Championship: Kaitlyn hasn't had much TV time recently, so that has me siding with Tamina. Hopefully it turns into a bit of a rivalry, as there's real potential.

The Rock © vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship. If The Rock is disqualified or counted out, he will lose the championship: This one is so obvious that I don't even need to explain it.

I think I missed something, when did they split up????

Alberto Del Rio ? vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship: I reckon it'll be third time lucky for the Big Show.

Yeah

Antonio Cesaro ? vs. The Miz for the WWE United States Championship: This is a tricky one. Cesaro would look pretty bad if he lost to The Miz, especially after the past few weeks. long time since he had a title right

Jack Swagger vs. Chris Jericho vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton - Elimination Chamber match to determine the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29: Trickiest one of the lot. Would be nice!

The Shield vs. Team Sell No: ...well I think you can tell who I'm going for, looking at the team name for Cena, Sheamus & Ryback.

That name made me laugh hard, hope they loose

Kaitlyn ? vs. Tamina Snuka for the WWE Divas Championship: Kaitlyn hasn't had much TV time recently, so that has me siding with Tamina. Hopefully it turns into a bit of a rivalry, as there's real potential.

to bad we didn't see her more

The Rock ? vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship. If The Rock is disqualified or counted out, he will lose the championship: This one is so obvious that I don't even need to explain it.

prays the rock looses

? As noted late last night here on the website, former world heavyweight champion Christian is now medically cleared to return to the ring. Currently, he?s not scheduled to appear, but WWE could begin booking him at any of the shows in the coming week. If he?s not used in the next two weeks, it could be that they are holding off his return until after WrestleMania.

? The New Orleans? Times-Picayune newspaper recently published a preview for the Elimination Chamber PPV card. The article predicted that Dolph Ziggler would leave with the world heavyweight title and that Chris Jericho would win the Elimination Chamber to set up a match at Wrestlemania between the two.

Hallelujah, Matt Striker's got rid of the mustache! :p

...and that's Elimination Chamber over.

Eight matches in total (that includes the pre-show match, and the impromptu one), and my final prediction score is 3-5; the ones I got right were the chamber match (I'm still surprised Swagger actually won! :p ), the impromptu match, and the main event.

I'm actually a bit glad The Rock won, as it means that "Twice in a Lifetime" shirt I ordered is still relevant. :p

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
