Better watch the "trash talk" to older women, like this wrestler found out...funny in a way, but scary.  Some take these to seriously.

^^^ I mean, I'm glad he's still going to wrestle and that he's happy the crowds love him and all. But did he really have to continue the comedy act that basically killed his career in WWE for now? Also, they really telegraphed some of those moves (which I get why, it just seemed really weird to me) so it made them less impactful I guess? Plus I had no idea who any of those guys were except for Sandow obviously, and Colt Cabana.

I've got nothing against him doing the comedy stuff; if he wants to do it, then more power to him. I don't reckon he'll stick to that; I think that night was just because he was with Colt Cabana.

The surprise was that he's still wrestling as Damien Sandow; same name, same theme, same outfit, same everything. I thought WWE usually try to prevent that. Although admittedly, it is pretty easy for some to get around it, like Eugene. When I saw him at a Pro Wrestling Pride show last January, he was U-Gene; same theme, same gimmick, just a different outfit and a slightly altered name. As for the other guys, well, it was a low-level indy show, so no surprise we haven't heard of them. Same story for me when I went to my first Plymouth Wrestling Association back in April; I was only there for the British stars who came down: El Ligero, Martin Kirby, Dave Mastiff, Joel Redman, Jinny, Pollyanna, and of course, Drew Galloway.

Well, MitB was fairly decent.  Started watching late on the WWE App (just $9.99!)  so was able to fast-forward through the adverts.  Went 3 minutes past an advert, though, and the Nattie v Charlotte was already over!  So much for showcasing women wrestlers.   I don't know about anyone else, but Styles v Cena was flat out BORING to me.  And Cena was acting half-dead just seconds after the opening bell.  Best parts to me?  Ambrose winning, and Golden Truth matches.  I know Golden Truth was just for laughs, but it delivered.  Nice touch with the "peeling" skin!  Now, let's hope Creative doesn't screw up RAW.

Despite being hailed as a brilliant and opportunistic strategist, new WWE Champion Dean Ambrose confessed today that he cashed-in his newly acquired Money in the Bank contract because he didn’t want to lug a cumbersome metal briefcase around the world.

“I remember (Seth) Rollins complaining that the briefcase is a huge pain in the ass,” Ambrose told reporters at a press conference this morning in Las Vegas.

“You think I want to take that thing through airport security every day? No thank you!”

Ambrose has vowed to “travel light” these days, especially since he realized what a hassle it was to transport Mitch the Potted Plant from city to city — not to mention the barbed-wire bat that security guards confiscated from his luggage last week.

Ambrose may soon regret his decision, however, since the seven-pound briefcase is actually easier to transport than the WWE Championship belt, which is 10 pounds of gold.

    • Threads scales past half a billion users, brings deeper community and feed controls by Fiza Ali Meta has announced Threads crossing a major milestone of 500 million monthly active users. And, at the heart of this growth sits something simple: communities. From books to basketball, parenting to music, Threads says its rise has been powered by people clustering around shared interests and, in turn, giving the platform its identity. In response, the platform is expanding its Communities feature beyond beta and introducing a set of new tools designed to make participation easier and more engaging. A redesigned Communities Hub will now appear in the main navigation menu, allowing users to jump between groups without leaving their feed. Each community will also receive a distinct Community Icon, giving them clearer visual identity and making them easier to recognise across the platform. Then there’s Community Progress, which is a kind of live gauge showing how close a topic is to becoming a full-fledged community, alongside guidance on how users can contribute to its development. In addition, Meta is also expanding its Community Champions programme, recognising more users who actively contribute to community engagement. And then things go more local; Local Communities is already available in 100 countries, including North America, South America, Asia, and Europe but are now rolling out with native-language tags starting in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The platform is also expanding Live Chats to more communities in the coming weeks, adding features such as co-hosting and the ability to quote moments directly into users’ feeds. Beyond communities, Meta is tightening the loop between users and their feeds. Earlier this year came "Dear Algo," a feature that lets people tell Threads what they want more or less of. Now it’s being paired with a new tool, "Your Algo." It allows people to adjust how frequently certain topics appear, with options lasting one, three, or seven days. Meta says these preferences remain private and can be managed alongside “Dear Algo” in a unified settings hub. The rollout begins in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Finally, the company says these changes are part of an ongoing effort to refine Threads based on user feedback and that further updates will continue as the platform evolves.
