They did; highest ratings ever on POP TV. It's been a nice change seeing Jeff as the normal one for once. It isn't cool, and it's obviously bad, but ###### it, a lot of fans have been crying out for something different and wacky, so they're laughing their arses off at it all (the weak finish spoilt things a bit, though).

Matt hiding under the boat was priceless.

Hollywood is abuzz today following the news that legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg has signed on to direct a big-screen adaptation of Final Deletion, the twisted saga of Matt and Jeff Hardy.

Production on set to begin on the film, tentatively titled Final Deletion: A New Hope, in early 2018, with an estimated budget of $800 million.

Spielberg is the highest-grossing director in film history, whose films — E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Saving Private Ryan, No Holds Barred, The Chaperone — combine epic storytelling with rich morality lessons, much like the tale of Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero.

Although details are sketchy, a leaked cast list reveals a who’s-who of Hollywood A-Listers in starring roles, including:

  • Ryan Gosling as Jeff Hardy
  • Gary Busey as Matt Hardy
  • Miley Cyrus as Reby Sky
  • Hornswoggle as Baby Maxel

According to Hollywood sources, the rights to the film were subject to an intense bidding war, with Spielberg winning the rights to Final Deletion, while JJ Abrams successfully bid on the big-screen adaptation of Vader’s White Castle of Fear.

I'm with MightyJordan, I am loving this whole Matt Hardy thing.  TNA was mediocre before, now they are just saying, "Screw it!  What have we got to lose?" and getting crazy. :D

There's some interesting notes from Jeremy Borash about it all:

Quote
  • Everything he used to do the Final Deletion is available on Amazon
  • Borash is a huge drone nerd and even rigged one of his up with fishing line and a bobber and caught a sunfish
  • The first video [the contract signing] was Borash alone, this time he brought a film crew with him
  • The Hardys' estate really is a creepy gross swamp full of fog, snakes, and mosquitos
  • The whole setup was improvised out of ###### they found on Matt's property, including the dilapidated boat
  • The birthday party setup was really Maxel's since his birthday was the next day and it was done by Reby Sky
  • Jeff has sculptures just sitting around everywhere that he built, including a 12-foot-tall alien
  • THE GIANT HARDY SYMBOL WAS JUST SITTING ON MATT'S GODDAMN LAWN WHEN HE SHOWED UP
  • Many people he's heard from after this believe TNA has been the better show for the last several months.
  • Matt came up with the persona on the spot when filming the first Broken Matt Hardy vignette and they've just gone with it ever since
  • Matt is 100% committed to this character. "It's not performance art, it's creepy!"
  • Borash thinks TNA is a fantastic creative environment
  • Borash wants to go back and film at the Hardy estate again because there's no limits to what they can do

I wouldn't go as far as him to say he's one of the best, but Matt Hardy's had one hell of a year so far. He was fairly stale for the past decade or so - the Chavo to Jeff's Eddie - but since the double turn with EC3, he's had a Bully Ray-esque turnaround.

Awesome man!  I'm lovin' it!  Keep this trainwreck going, ha ha!

    • Uhm, that's every business ever, though. It doesn't matter if a bajillion users are using it. As long as it's not making bank, it's probably headed for the graveyard.
    • Yeah Patchou was an active member here, good ol' times indeed.
    • Samsung is the new Google... they don't care if millions of people are using it.
    • Still no word on Tides of Annihilation...... so weird that it wasn't shown at the big Game Fest. Guess I'll put it in the bin like Judas and Squadron 42.
    • Samsung is shutting down yet another app used by millions by David Uzondu Samsung has announced that it is shutting down Samsung Max, its VPN service used by more than 50 million people, effective today. Samsung Max VPN, if you don't know, was an Android app born on February 23, 2018, out of the ashes of Opera Max, a very popular data-saving VPN that Opera had discontinued the previous year. Samsung bought the discontinued service, rebranded it, and added a native Samsung UI to fit the Galaxy ecosystem. The app could do things like compress images, help you manage background data on a per-app basis, reduce video data consumption, shrink music files, optimize webpages, block advertisement trackers in incognito mode, and encrypt your internet traffic on public Wi-Fi networks. Image via SammyGuru If you open the app now, you'd be greeted by a shutdown banner warning that all VPN, data saving, and privacy services stopped functioning on June 15, 2026. The creators failed to provide a reason for the shutdown, instead publishing a farewell note that read: "Thank you for being with us over the years. Your support and activity truly meant a lot to us and helped shape this app into what it became." This same message appears on the Google Play Store listing for the app as well. Max VPN is the latest service from Samsung to join the list of discontinued applications from the company. Just two months ago, the Korean tech giant announced that it is completely shutting down Samsung Messages, forcing millions of users to migrate to Google Messages by next month. The only devices that the shutdown won't affect are older smartphones running Android 11 or lower. Some of the features of Google Messages that Samsung hopes will entice users include AI-powered scam detection to block suspicious links, integrated Gemini AI tools to generate quick replies, custom chat bubbles, and universal RCS compatibility for sharing high-quality media with iOS users. The platform also offers seamless syncing across tablets and smartwatches. In addition to that, users gain access to message scheduling, smart classification, and automated category sorting.
