What do you guys think of the news about Paige being forced to retire now due to the injury from a week or so ago? I think its a pretty ###### situation all around for her, and I hope she can handle it to be honest. Such a crap hand dealt to her overall - maybe she'll be invited to stay around as a trainer or on-air talent for other things.

I refrained from mentioning it as it's still currently unverified, but yeah, rotten luck if it's true. It'd be surreal to see a wrestler younger than me forced into retirement already; I'm only 26 and she's 25. :/ Although technically she has been wrestling all her life; her mum wrestled a match while unknowingly seven month pregnant with her.

There is another retirement story that hasn't been officially confirmed, but does come from Dave Meltzer, and that's Mark Henry. Obviously not as surprising, since he hasn't wrestled since WrestleMania last year, but still, any excuse to post his fake retirement masterclass...

I'm not a wrestling fan ... however I saw her story on ESPN earlier today.  One would think that the WWE wouldn't script a kick to the back of her neck after her prior injury/surgery.  Very unfortunate for her and her fans.

It was probably something Paige and Sasha Banks agreed on, rather than the guys behind-the-scenes, either before the match or maybe even during it on-the-fly; it was at a live/non-televised show, so presumably the matches aren't as meticulously planned out as they would be on TV or PPV.

Welp, made it almost two whole weeks into 2018 before a "LOLTNA" moment.

Or maybe not.

Spoiler

^^ That's Don Callis, by the way; English colour commentator for NJPW, and now also EVP of Impact along with Scott D'Amore.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
