I know it's wrestling etc etc - but my god does that look degrading as ######. Maybe because I'm almost 40 years old or maybe I'm just a stick in the mud. Does no one else think that looks really crappy to do to her (and him, I guess)?

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE wanted to bring Bully Ray in for the May 15th NXT Live Event which took place in Philadelphia.

 
WWE knew Bully Ray would get a big pop from the Philly crowd, but after he appeared on the May 8th edition of Impact Wrestling to referee a match between Kurt Angle and Eric Young, WWE nixed the idea to use Bully. The role went to Tommy Dreamer instead, and he ended up working an NXT match against Baron Corbin.
 
Despite recently returning to TNA as the new authority figure on Impact Wrestling, Bully Ray is still pushing for one last run in WWE with his tag team partner Devon. In a recent interview with The Fight Network, Ray said he thinks him and Devon are in their best shape in 15 years.

An unusual story is developing late Thursday night, as WWE has seemingly completely disassociated itself from Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
 
Hogan has been pulled from WWE.com completely, he is no longer listed as a judge on Tough Enough, and all of his merchandise links have been removed from WWE

He's gone from the Hall of Fame page, too.  :s Something very bad must have happened. I'm seeing murmurs suggesting he was caught doing a racist rant, but haven't looked it up yet.


Even Curtis Axel's been reverted to his regular self on the website.  :wacko:

On Friday morning, WWE announced they have terminated the contract of Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea. Their brief statement:

 
"WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide."
 
A few minutes afterward, the National Enquirer and Radar Online released a story that claims Hogan made racist comments on a sex tape, using the N-word several times in a dialogue about someone that was offering to fund daughter Brooke's music career. Here's an excerpt from their story:

      Why should simply opening the Action Center ... require any significant amount of CPU cycles? Too many are ignoring the elephant in the room: today's CPUs may have similar clock frequencies to CPUs from a decade ago (~4 to 5 GHz), but they run with far higher performance per clock, even on the smallest E-cores. The Action Center is a static, minor desktop element. It ought to open instantly on any CPU made in the past 2.5 decades at even low clocks. Opening a program? Boost away. Unzipping a file? Boost to your heart's content. Right-clicking the notification area? This should be an ultra-efficient, low-impact event that opens instantly. Compare today's UI elements to Windows 7 UI elements. Today's UI elements hardly do anything more substantial or important or critical, yet now require modern-day processors to jump half a GHz to reduce their latency.

      Close, but it is for any application starting, not just during boot time. In fact, it probably will not improve boot time at all because during a boot, the CPU is already boosting, so a pre-boost wouldn't change anything. I agree that it isn't exciting (especially considering every other OS already does it), but it is a good thing, even if they are just playing catch up.

      Any so called performance increase will be in milliseconds, which nobody will actually notice in real world usage.
