Any idea what delivery service http://www.game.co.uk/ uses? I know it'll be delivered on the day. Just got the following e-mail too!

Dear Customer

Grand Theft Auto IV is nearly here!

Thank you for your order {123456/P} for Grand Theft Auto IV. The highly anticipated GTA IV is due to be with you on Tuesday 29th April. To make sure that we get this title to everyone who ordered it for release day we have had to start our picking and packing process earlier than we would for our normal pre-orders. As a result, we may look to authorise your credit/debit card from tomorrow.

Kind regards

last time i ordered it was royal mail.. that emails just to let you know the money will be taken off your card. etc.

you will get another one when dispatched. :)

Awww man, went down to blockbuster today and they said they probably wouldnt have it for rent before 14 days after release :(

Sweeet! :o

The box is way smaller than I had imagined and the keychain thingy is way bigger than I had imagined

I hope they deliver when everyones gone in the morning, nothing worse than the anticipation of a game being there when you get home from work to then discover I have a very brisk 20 min walk to the sorting office to collect!

After seeing the SE I might need to pre-order it :(

Was just going to get the standard from HMV as I have had a giftcard since xmas :p

You can't pre-order/get the SE instore though...

I have a free period first next Tuesday at sixth form, me and a few friends are going to walk to the local Tesco :p

We rang today and they said they'll have loads in stock and they're receiving the stock in the next couple of days :|

Also selling the game for ?37.97 according to the woman on the other side of the phone:))

Although you can't kill Ricky Gervais in the Comedy Clubs, I've heard you'll be able to find him elsewhere in the game and take a baseball bat to his face :p

-Rich-

in the words of one Charles Montgomery Burns, Excellent! I hope you don't have to visit the comedy club or interact with him to finish the game

I can't decide what version to get... PS3 or 360?

If you own both consoles, get 360 if you want the DLC.

Other than that, both will have achievements/what-ever-the-hell-Sony-is-calling-them, both will play the same. Both will have online multiplayer. PS3 might (might) have better sound, depending on how R* uses the extra space of the blu-ray, but that's not even rumor or speculation, that's just my personal guess, and not a very informed one at that.

I only own a PS3, and I like how GTA games control on PS3, so I'm not too stressed about the DLC.

ouch im lucky i got a wii and x360 so the obvious choice there :p well to be hoenst i dont have a choice.

what ever you enjoy playing more etc. its a hard one. if i had both i would probably say PS3. LOL :p

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
