[Official] Grand Theft Auto IV

Thank you. I have another question to ask, is there co-op in this game(read some magazine that it has co-op)? As in missions? If so how do I access it? I tried Free Roam mode but I don't see any mission objectives in it, just pure free roam.

There is co-op but it's not conventional. Co-op is just 2-4 people completing one of three missions on Xbox Live. If you want to co-op with a mate, you will need 2 xbox 360s, 2 copies of the game, and 2 TVs.

Regardless of system, it is 1 player per console.

The 3 missions are: Deal Breaker, Hangman's Noose, Bomb Da Base

hmm i dont think there is any co op, even if you link 2 360s

anybody that got the Special Edition, what are you using your lockbox for

Using mine to keep my controllers.

Great idea. Did not think about that. My wife will love that too, always complaining about them. Thanks. (Y)

fits 3 controllers with 1 having a chatpad on verry good, even closes, when i get home i forgot to put a memory card that i dont use in there also.

+added benifit of being able to lock up the controllers ( althought its not hard to break into it )

After selling my 360 back in December (at a massive loss and for undisclosed reasons  ), I decided to get a new one. I was dabbling with the idea for months. But when I read up on GTA 4 and seeing reviews etc, I really committed and ordered a new xbox and the game this morning. Even though It will cripple me financially :p. Totally worth it!

I've only played about an hour and a half of the game, but I'm loving it so far. TBH it's the first GTA game I've owned myself. The only time I ever played GTA before was at a friend's house and I never really got into it (probably because I didn't own it myself so I couldn't play it when I wanted).

Ahh on the local news right now they have people from MADD in PA, and they are saying they want the game removed from shelves in this state! Can they do that?

MADD is Mothers Against Drunk driving. The news also said that same organization wrote letters to Rockstar. hmmm this shall be interesting.

http://www.madd.org/Media-Center/Media-Cen...ft-Auto-IV.aspx

MADD is calling on the Entertainment Software Ratings Board to reclassify Grand Theft Auto IV as an Adults Only game, a step up from the current rating of Mature and for the manufacturer to consider a stop in distribution – if not out of responsibility to society then out of respect for the millions of victims/survivors of drunk driving.

Maybe MADD should target REAL LIFE drink drivers, not pixels on a fricking screen. Showing your priorities right there you bunch of complete morons.

If I were Rockstar I'd reply to half of these idiots in the same way Piratebay responds to legal claims against their website - With complete mockery.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
    • Everything they say you can already do yourself on the registry by changing some things.
    • Artist's renderings are so much nicer to view than the real thing, don't you think?
