Does anybody have suggestions on how to get a quick 6 star rating? I tried shooting the cops etc. and had a long gun fight with them but couldn't get my rating up 5 stars no matter what I tried.

I have all three islands unlocked so I can't fly to a locked one and get a 6 star rating that way.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Goto www.littlelacysurprisepageant.com in game and you get an instant 5star wanted level from their it's pretty easy to get 6 :p

For the first time I wanted to give Multiplayer a proper test run and suffice to say, what a horrible experience.

I tried to start up a Lobby, but was constantly told "I was Disconnected from the game session", my own Lobby?!

Restarted the game and the Party Lobby was working again, I invited a few of my friends so we ended up at around 5 guys.

We searched for a Cops'n'Crooks match, where we sat 5 guys alone on one team, with me as host for like 10 Minutes+ With no people joining.

We decided to go back to Party Lobby, everybody was kicked back to Single-Player and I had to Re-invite everyone.

Then we finally found a Lobby where I was not host, but there was only 3 guys on the Orange team. They readied up and so did

two players from our team, so the game started with us 5 vs 3 guys - Easy victory in no time. Plus, in Cops'n'Crooks you start like 500 Meters

from each other, so it takes no time for the cops to catch up.

This game only lasted 5 Minutes, since it was a Ranked match we were back in the Party Lobby but was missing 2 guys. We tried inviting them

but they got "Unable to Connect" errors, even though they were just in the game!

Well, us 3 left decided to keep playing - We ended up in a All for One with a bunch of the local British people calling us dumb Germans, so we were 3 vs. 4

and they had of course enabled all weapons and Auto-Aim to really make the game boring, so we were just getting insta-owned with RPG's constantly.

So I decided to leave, don't know what the rest of the guys did.

To sum up the experience: Horrible.

It's impossible to find a proper match without a lot of problems, time wasted, unbalanced teams and connection issues.

Why is All for One and One for All even selectable by the Host? Should be a separate search option from the Party Lobby since they are two entirely different game-modes which promote

two very different ways of playing the game - One for All is definitely more fun. Also, why should the host in a Ranked match be able to toggle Auto-Aim on/off, how pathetic is that? Should be OFF in

Ranked matches, at least!

So in an hour of GTA IV Multiplayer with friends, we got to have fun for around 10 Minutes - How pathetic.

im sorry but stop your bitching and get either a ps3/xbox360, or simply wait

Technically, there is already a GTA movie. I own a copy and it's terrible to say the least

[off topic slightly]

No, not one of Ron Howard's greatest, directing that movie suggests he should have stuck to acting in HappyDays, another act (pardon the pun) of ungreatness (sp?) :p

Willow FTW, and Angels and Demons looks like it will be good.

[/off topic slightly] :p

Blah. I've bittersweet about this outcome. So I knew it was either going to be Roman or Kate to die, and (not to sound cold, but...) I really wanted it to be Kate, since I didn't much care for her, and I really liked Roman, and Nico always seemed to be a family guy in the storyline, but I chose the deal over revenge thinking it would get me that, and, well, it didn't :p

Oh well. Gives me good reason to start a new game and spend a ton more time in Liberty City. I also missed the Liberty City Minute Achievement by 2 hours.

It's a pretty amazing ****ing game though, I've gotta say. I've only ever played a half hour of the GTA franchise before this game, and I'm hooked.

I'm at 86 missions in 20:47... think I'll get the achievement?

Yes, easily. Unless you decide to suck, or go off and do a ton of side missions. But by my count, there's 94 missions (or that's the number it currently tells me I've completed, and I just beat it).

I traded in like, 14 games at Gamestop yesterday and wound up with almost $100 credit, so needless to say I picked up GTA4 (and put the rest down on Bad Company, yay!).

From the little I played of the game, it was very, very impressive. Within the first few minutes of playing, there was an accident in front of my car and the people got out and argued and it was all very surreal and realistic. I even joined a free mode multiplayer game to check it out, heh, awesome stuff. Can't wait to play more.

I just hate the camera in the game, always have. I wish they let you have more control over it.

I am 60% through the game, and I have just finished all of the Most Wanted missions. :)

I have that DVD too. It's terrible.

I think it may have come with my pre-order of GTA III, not sure.

This months Top Gear magazine they gave it "DVD of the month".

Don't worry about it. That was the biggest thing I was worried about when I started playing as well. Within a day or two, I didn't even notice it because I had gotten so good at moving the right stick with the way I'm turning.

One thing I really dont like is the way multiplayer is handled. To get into a game you first have to load up the game to your last save point, fair enough. But if your in an online game and want to switch to another mode etc, you have to wait for it to load the whole game again. I wish there was a dedicated multiplayer menu which didnt require the loading of the entire game just to switch modes. Unless im missing something.

I also cant seem to hear other people talking loud enough. Its very low and ive tried everything to boost the sound.

Have you tried pressing the back button? it should give you the little list on the right asking you which game mode you want to play.

And I've had no problems with multiplayer a bit of lag the odd time but thats about it.

Unless I'm mistaken you can bring up the phone during multiplayer and just select another game type to join.

But if you in a lobby I think you can just press select and choose a different game type to join too.

Cant help you about the sound of other players though.

hough I agree, the multiplayer could of been far better.

I would of preferred a proper lobby system where you can choose a game to your liking, but oh well, it was their first run, its a start, and I'm sure it will be improved for the next one.

Alright, so the first thing I did when playing GTA was disabling autoaim - wuss feature :p

Now Ive turned it on and everything becomes so much easier - especially headshots

How do I enter freeaim once Ive locked on to a person? Im standing in the street, I want to pop tires but I cant because it keeps locking on to the civilian on the sidewalk

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
