Seems a lot and I'm on Vista Ultimate.. There's hardly been any incident when all of it gets used up.. Even while encoding videos the CPU usage is ~90% whereas RAM ~80%.. I don't play many games so dunno bout others

i've 4 gig in both my dektop and my laptop. Prior to that my desktop had 1.5 gig, and it was nowhere near enough. As the person a few posts above said, with ram so cheap why go for less than 4gig, 8 if you can afford it (and have compliant hardware/os

i run vista great on 2GB DDR 400 but at times i might go over 2GB but i don't want to lose my dual channel and go to single channel but i tend to have many things running even when i game and it don't slow down at all but if i do VM's then i usualy go over 2GB but not by much.i got extra memory but am holding off because i don't want to lose dual channel.

Way more than enough. If you say you need more, you're either overcompensating for some other problem you have or you run editting/programming suites that eat RAM or use virtualisation.

I make tech demo's using my machines so I need all the ram I need .. thinking of upgrading towards 8GB. At normal use I barely hit 1.5GB tough...

I have 2 gb of ram and it still sometimes locks up or laggs, I feel when I have 4gb, Then! I will have enough :)

When you have 1gb, you feel that its slow sometimes and 2gb will be enough.

When you have 2gb, you feel that its slow sometimes and 4gb will be enough.

When you have 4gb, you feel that its slow sometimes and 8gb will be enough.

When you have 8gb, you smile.

Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody from watching your Internet connection and learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites which are blocked. The Tor Browser Bundle lets you use Tor on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux without needing to install any software. It can run off a USB flash drive, comes with a pre-configured web browser to protect your anonymity, and is self-contained.
