Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

If the download is still getting hammered... I'd hate to see next week when its released in the USA. Think of the amount of users updating it compared to the European's.

The calendar, or rather todays date has been screwed up for sometime now. It's marked as April 4 for todays date, but the calendar itself displays correctly.

Why do you say that? There are more PS3's in Europe than anywhere else right now. :D

It comes as the store is updated.

I'm hoping the hammering is inflated worse than it really is just now due to the ongoing work on the store.

GT always sells more in Europe though, so that fact alone might mean issues aren't as bad in the states.

GT4 for example,

As of December 2007, Gran Turismo 4 has sold 1,230,000 copies in Japan, 70,000 in Southeast Asia, 2,870,000 in North America, 5,640,000 in Europe, and 110,000 in Korea.

2x that of America.

I finally got it done last night, woot.

I waited till about 11pm and tried, it was a Sunday and it was late, so I figured it would be the best time.

I waited, it got about a 1cm before half way before getting stuck, so I waited and waited and it didn't move, just didn't go anywhere.

So I cancelled it, started it again and it did it instantly, woo. :p

Really loving this game, I've done all of C and B class, and I have one more to do on A, just need to get the funds to buy the Ferrari car.

Loving this. :D

^ can we get some ingame screens? Those screenshots that are taken when you are in your garage or when it shows a replay are not accurate as the game upscales those videos to produce better shadowing and lighting. I played a limited version of Prologue at the NY Auto Show, and the graphics sucked @$$ compared to those shots. But i have a feeling they werent even using proper cables for that.

Last set.

There's very little difference in quality between in the garage/dealership and in game. This game doesn't even have a photo mode like its previous versions where it ups the quality of the models/shadows.

There a few cars that has blocky shadows on them, as it appears there's a rendering glitch that has encountered.

im still confused on the release date... ive heard a million times it will be there when the new store opens on the 15th...all retailers (amazon, gamestop etc) have it for the 15th, but on the ps store now, it says the 17th. is it just an old pic they have up they havnt changed or something?

I was playing today and notice a news update saying that there will be maintenance on the 15th, the day of the store update, and that some records and player assigned controls will be reset?

The only reason I can see for this is if they are going to be giving us an update again, otherwise I don't see how server maintanence would reset player controller assignments.

Maybe the extra cars that are in the US version so we can play against each other?

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).

A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks.
