how do you invite friends to matches, i really wana play against my psn friends but is see no way of inviting them toa game ...

cheer sfor any help :D

You can't currently.

But they did say that they will be making private rooms available in a future update. :D

I've got a pile of 5 games, and they go up the pile as they're played.

GT5 is at the bottom. And it has been for the past week.

NOT interested anymore. Why am I wasting my time playing what essentially is an extended demo? I've played it, dabbled with the features.. no reason to pick it up again.

Can't sell it either. No barcode! Ugh. :)

from what ive read to get enough credits to purchase new cars you have to keep doing the same races over and over and over again

true...

u will be in the same tracks over and over again.. playing it for many times before purchasing a new car...

besides almost half of the trakcs u can not compete with any car. u can only compete with 1 car that is eligible for the race. I had to buy a stupid suzuki capuccino, a bad mitsubishi and spend lots of credits for those cars to complete just 1 race.

so irritating.

Man, I hate that car!

GT5 Prologue.....online......is a bust!! Not only does it have 100% arcade feel but no in-game voice, no control being the host and the horrid way in which you join up with people online just totally kills the online experience! There are no words to describe just how crappy this game is ONLINE. Offline I really like the game but online is terrible at this point. Yes I realize it isn't finished but I didn't expect it to be this bad online.

As someone said before me, GT5P online is like a game of dodgems with other players not playing 'correctly' or unsportingly. Nudging your back end, using you as a barrier on corners etc. As soon as damage turns up and the penalty system is improved I'll stick to playing offline.

How's that any different than before? In 3, you pretty much had to do the same thing until you could afford a car worth racing or at least that was the easiest way to do it.

Let me start by saying I have never been a big fan of racing sims. They usually wind up getting to hard for me to quick and I just give up on them, I just do not have the patience nor the time to try and master a certain track. So I am a bit jaded...

With that said, I got my rented copy of Prologue yesterday, and I have to say I am really, really enjoying it.

I have owned PGR 3&4, and Forza 2, and first and foremost to anyone saying this game is not the best looking game out of the bunch, they need to get their eyes checked. Part of the reason I found myself so immersed is because of the graphics themselves, they really look fantastic. Running 1080p on a 50" Sony projection set, and WOW does it look great.

Sure, not having damage is a huge oversight IMO, I agree with anyone who complains about that, but lets hope they do fix that in an update.

And I dont know, maybe it is because I am so immersed now, but this games controls just seems to handle better than those other games. I am not all over the place driving. I am concentrating harder than I usually do, so maybe that is it, but I really find myself actually wanting to learn the correct lines of a track, where I never really cared about that in those other games.

So I am not completely sold on it just yet, I only did the C class races (have 2 left) so it may just be all peachey and rosey since I am doing the easy parts and once the harder driving comes in the frustration will set in as well, but I really am enjoying it so far. Way more than I thought it would. I am actually thinking it is going to be a shame that once GTA 4 comes out, I will completely forget about this game almost guaranteed.

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
