Brisbane Cameraholics Photographic Fair

The annual Brisbane Photographica Fair will be held Sunday 25th May 2008. Cameraholics is an affiliated club, of the Photographic Society of Queensland, and the members are active in collecting old cameras and photographic equipment & images.

Many camera club members or amateurs & students of photography may like to consider either attending the fair to possibly buy items for their shops, or they may like to hire a table, to sell old cameras or photographic stocks, darkroom equipment, outdated or short dated film, chemicals & papers, etc. As the photographers that attend this fair cover almost every field of photography.

We normally have over 400 people attend our fair every year, and they range from students seeking working cameras, so they may learn photography, to camera club members and keen photographers, up to experienced working or even retired professional photographers.

The items sold at our fairs have covered the history of photography from the start in the 1840-50?s, up to modern digital equipment. From hard to find accessories, mint condition cameras, to parts that can help restore some cameras back to working glory.

Our fair caters for almost every field of photography, film, digital, studio & darkroom, and even movie cameras, from the beginner, to those wanting to sell surplus items, to those wanting to trade up to more modern equipment, or just clear out the studio attic, or digital photographers who want to try going ?retro? to return to the nostalgic days of film again.

To photographic retailers who may have left over stock, outdated or short dated film, chemicals of papers, this is the perfect opportunity, as the students are always looking for these items.

To studio photographers who want to clear out their old film equipment, or to digital photographers wanting to try ?retro? (film) photography, you can buy or sell anything to do with photography at this market?

The entry fee is $2 and goes directly to charity. Food & drinks also provided by a registered charity.
