we got 5 more months to get 300,000 posts

acording to previous months statistics we should be able to do it, unless we have a sharp decline in posts.

i want to see how many posts we've had this month since the announcement :D

I assume it would be a lot more!

I expect the number of PM's to be higher this month, as well as forum posts, but not topics.

for the month of june, I predict that we will see a shortage of topics and forum posts, but an increase of PM's... thanks to games like Neowin Mafia

If you tally the numbers from just the month of May, you will see we only hit 66,000 posts.. and we need on average, 70,000+ to actually hit our goals.

According to the average ppm (posts per month), we will hit 7,983,939 posts by Oct. 1st, but that is based on averages, which don't apply due to forum expansion (exponential growth). I am estimating about 8,069,787.7 posts by Oct. 1st 2008 :p. Can we place bets on numbers and whoever is closest wins the Vista Ultimate x64? I think that would be much more fun :D

That is a good idea, on betting who is closest to the actual post count on October 1st. But people would need to put there numbers in before june.. or else it won't be fair :p

I guess I need to increase my spam post count :D

Good idea but how many times can we bet? People will keep editing there posts... we need to keep it fair...

    • I know I won't ever be using it to make my game. I'd rather pay real humans.
    • Nah. For every indie dev that needs to create code for "stuff" or textures, it's a godsend enabler to possibly tackle a project that you may not otherwise. The end result and testing will tell the truth if everything works or doesn't, or a game is just mediocre slop, but now these tools are now there and it's the developer's duty to judge the outcome, and even more so for pro studios. And you gotta remember that they will be at an early stage.
    • whoosh my comment went over your head. Enjoy your notchless 3:2 OLED device
    • As a game dev, today was really depressing. They announced that Blueprints will be deprecated in UE6 to be fully replaced by their sh**ty Python-like Verse language... They also announced that 5.8 will be the last version of UE5 until UE6 comes out in MID 2029!!!! They have completely lost the plot.
