Yes, my statement is subjective, since there aren't any real numbers out there, but I guarantee it's true. If it weren't, Vista would actually be a failure, and Microsoft would be seeing more of a backlash than the slap-on-the-wrist it's getting from niche tech websites like this one where the people who post on these forums think they're somehow representative of the actual market.

I'm not trying to be naive or ignorant, just realistic.

The question that I pose to you about those Niche sites is do those include or not include the Fortune 500 Companies that refuse to even consider Vista and are sticking with XP? I can not name names due to confidentiality agreements, however I can tell you out of all the companies I've been to recently (Some very big names) only one of them has adopted vista (1 out of 15) and that was due to Microsoft giving them an engineer, ON SITE, to handle their migration and training of help-desk staff.

To me that isn't a glowing review when the large companies, of which have the Microsoft VL Agreements, refuse to adopt the 'new' technology in Vista...

Companies won't upgrade if there is no reason to ugprade. Fortune 500 companies probably have thousands of computers, why upgrade when XP suits their purpose?

That said, Vista is not a failure and it is a whole lot better than XP. But from a work point of view, [ie most office work involves some guy typing reports/excel spreadsheets/checking email or browsing sites] do not need vista..and hence XP does the job.

That also said, half the people in this world are retarded when it comes to computers anyways...they complain because something they were trained like a robot to do and followed for like 5 years got moved/changed/renamed..and they lack the brains to spend 5 seconds finding out what happenned to it.
