MS: Sony has failed to deliver on promises

Recommended Posts

Again, you can't explain yourself, for like the 3rd time today.

Apparently MS lied a lot, but you're too busy to give examples of this (yet find time to still reply in this topic strangely..).

Then we ask for more proof of the ongoing problems of RROD, again you produce nothing.

And now you can't follow through on your point of MS and the mistakes they've made and my "stupid" reply?

Yikes!

Lol, its funny to read these threads, you would think it was a war. THEY ARE ****ING GAMES CONSOLES!!

Its quite sad really, how so many people argue about the games console they like...

Yes, I like the PS3 better than the 360, only because I've had every Playstation and I feel the controllers are more comfortable.

Yet, I dont find the need to have 9 pages of people arguing in one thread about how each one is better, each comment saying the EXACT same things... "OMG the Xbox has more exclusives" or "OMG the PS3 has blu-ray"

Both are true funnily enough, everybody knows that, its just a box to play games on lol.

Oh and Nightz, bring over a bottle of lube and some crayons, then you'll see a whole new meaning of the word kinky :ninja:

As I've said, if you want to believe that MS haven't lied, fine.

Prove that the RROD has decreased since the 'new' 360's. As I said I've used personal experiences, friends and collegues and the Xbox forums to see the problem is still there, and not been reduced to anything like a respectable level. You prove its not happening. I know it still is.

As for your stupid reply, if you still cant see it then there is no helping you.

The proof is in the news. When RROD was actually a problem, that crap was all over the internet. It was on every tech website all the time, and it even made real news. Now you don't hardly hear about it at all. And you can't say that you're basing off your experience from surfing the 'Xbox forums' - that's complete bias, as of course you're going to find a ton of reported cases there - it's the official forums for such things.

MS never blamed RROD on the customer, and the only reason it took them so long to come out with their warranty plan was that they had no idea what the problem was.

Apparently his proof is "teh forumz!", which for all we know are consumers on older hardware. I and many others have 360's with the falcon chip set and there hasn't been a problem since :) Proof that there has been a reduction in RROD? Do some reading on an article published in Febuary with a study of only 16% or so having hardware problems, which is half the rumoured 33% figure that was thrown around. Even that 16% could still be users who own older hardware and/or unrelated to the RROD.

I think the fact the PS3 is picking up steam and looking good is why MS is responding now.

If you take a look at VG Charts and overlay the PS2 and PS3 sales, the sales curve are about the same, and if sony can keep this up, it could repeat the success it had with the PS2.

i'm guessing all the 360 fans never had a PS2 before byuing that system? Oh and all of them enjoyed first Xbox model, with 5 games on it, seriously though what makes you hate a PS3 so bad? Cause it's a console that doesn't break every 5 minutes and doesn't have the same functionality as a 360? Ie. heating your room etc, come on guys, please.

Many people turned away from the PS3 simply because of the price when it first came out.

The 360 itself isn't bad, but it needs some damn stability with it. Honestly, I've been wanting to get one for the longest time but every time I come to the forums or talk to friends of mine, I get put off from doing it. :/

Explain to me how you think your post will change anything? You have made no valuable contribution aside from "lols" "OMGs" people like to have debates on which platform is better and why shouldn't they? It's not pathetic what is pathetic is you take the time to reply in a topic in which you are clearly not interested in the discussion there is to be had.

Genius yes I can see that reflected in your post :hmmm:

Nope I had a PS2 last gen.

Was going to get a PS3, but then they announced the price. No way was I going to (or am going to) pay ?425 for a games console. So I got a 360 for under ?300. I could have waited for the PS3 to have a price cut, but in the time I would have waited, I was having fun playing games on my 360.

I may get a PS3 later in its life cycle, but atm I see no need. I do not like MGS games, I am not interested in Haze or Killzone. LBP doesn't look like my type of game. I prefer arcade racers to sim racers like GT. So right now (and in the near future), there are no games coming out that I want that I can't play on my 360. I have no use for a bluray player right now neither.

Well I've got a 360 and a PS3, they're about the same. The PS3 is stronger in some areas as is the 360. I don't bother ranting about either one because I love them both. That, and I'm too busy playing games. I've noticed the die hard PS3 fanboys do spend more time ranting about the xbox, I'm not sure why. Competition is good for us consumers so drop it already and go play some games!

I'm posting my view... Did I ask you to read my post...?

If you don't want anyone to read your post, then why post at all?

It was a pretty pointless post.

I dont mind people reading it, I just didn't ask him to read it and make comments on it, I forgot to add the commenting part, pressed "Add Reply" before I could edit it and I was in too much of a rush to edit it afterwards.

If my view on these arguments on the better console then delete the post if you must...

+1

am i actually wrong???? a console needing plenty of games, and out of those games, having most of them good, to be considered a good console?? do we live in bizarro world now where a console with crap games, crap selection, will win?? Seriously, have i gone that retarded?

The 1 area the ps3 has right now, is that the console isnt breaking on anyone. As far as games, its selection is very poor, and the performance of most of those games, when compared to their others, are sub par. So yes, in the main parts where a console counts, the ps3 isnt showing it. MS has a console that breaks down constantly to people, yet their library of games is huuuuge already, and out of that library, there are many many great games. Hence why the 360 is doing so well with what would normally be considered a crappy console.. so i must ask again, am i just retarded in my view of what a good console is? screw movies, screw internet, its about the games and gameplay and if the console will do it.

Just to add to your comments, how many people have actually bought the PS3 for Blu-ray? I think this also adds to the low attachment with the PS3. MAny people may have bought it as just a blu-ray player, and occasionally picking up the odd game. So in terms of gaming, the PS3 may not be as high in actual numbers. Btw, two of my friends, non-gamers, boast shiny new PS3s. The only thing they play on it are blu-ray movies.

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
