I'd prefer to smoke a bowl rather than drink. Too bad it stays in your system so damn long. I'm also the type that actually gets motivated after smoking, never been one to veg out on the sofa after smoking. It keeps me focused (I have a fairly short attention span) on the task at hand. It also helps to keep me "balanced" so I don't go off on someone for some minor thing.

No drugs kill. A good friend of mine went over 150,000 in debt on cocaine and ended up putiing a bullet in his head. He started smoking pot. So no, I will never support the legalization of any mind altering drug.

Gary, I would have to say that:

1) You need to educate yourself about the differences between cocaine and marijuana.

2) No one has yet committed suicide while stoned on marijuana exclusively.

3) Marijuana is not physically addictive.

4) Your friend had other, much more dangerous problems already, if he committed suicide.

5) It was the cocaine which was the contributing factor in his suicide, not the marijuana. If he had NOT started using cocaine, he probably wouldn't have committed suicide. pparently, he was already predisposed to committing suidice. Those who do commit suicide do it unintentionally, not intentionally, as a general rule. Suicide is a call for help, and is NOT caused by smoking a few joints.

6) Marijuana is not a "drug". It is a HERB, and has long been used by humanity for thousands of years for spiritual and health reasons.

7) Your injection of cocaine into a conversation about marijuana appears to be intentional, and meant to give the impression that marijuana is just as dangerous as cocaine. Much like the 50's, when Joe McCarthy caused the imprisonment of MANY folks, simply because they had FRIENDS who had been in the Communist Party in America -- i.e., "guilt by association". We've seen propaganda like yours for years, Gary, and just let it go through one ear and out the other. Why? Because we know the truth. A man with the truth is always at an advantage over a man with an emotional response.

8) The crime associated with marijuana sales is the GOVERNMENT's fault. If marijuana were legal, sales of cocaine and other more dangerous drugs would not be associated with its sale and use.

9) MORE people are in jail for smoking a few joints than are in jail for MURDER or RAPE.

10) Our jails are OVERCROWDED by thousands and thousands of folks who have marijuana convictions.

11) Yet, these people are not released when the government decides that the overcrowding must be relieved. Instead, they will (and do) release burgulars, thieves, and other violent criminals before they will release a marijuana dealer.

12) Our cities are overwhelmed by violent crime, yet nothing is done about the criminal gangs who inhabit these cities. Instead, they go after the pot-heads, cause it's easier to show that they are "winning the war on crime in America."

13) As a general rule, a pot-head is usually very intelligent, very peaceful, and very socially-adjusted. Yet we are called "insane", "dirty", "violent criminals" by Society. And all because of folks like yourself, who have much influence, but little true or accurate knowledge about the subject.

Surely, Gary, you would have investigated the claims of the government about these matters?

If not, I encourage you to take a weekend to CAREFULLY investigate this matter from BOTH sides, not just one.

Something is wrong with our country, Gary, if violent criminals are released from prison because of overcrowding before some yokel who got caught smoking a joint or two, or some woman who needed to sell marijuana because she has no other way of making a living.

Please, Gary, I urge you to truly investigate the matter carefully, and then make a decision based on REASON and LOGIC rather than emotionalism.

Once you retire, you shouldn't have to jump through the Government's hoops anymore.

I too am motivated when I smoke. Good marijuana wakes you up. Crappy marijuana puts you to sleep.

In the late '60s, we did not have the crappy sensimilla found in the US everywhere today. INstead, we had Acapulco Gold, Hanoi Gold, Afghani, keef, hashish. THAT is marijuana. NOT this watered-down crap called "green bud" which passes for marijuana nowadays.

What really puzzles me, is WHY the government says the modern green bud is MORE DANGEROUS than the pot of the 60's. These guys never SMOKED the pot of the '60s. HOW could they know, anyway? Science! Our modern-day "saviors". Go save someone else, please...

Thanks to the US Government, we no longer have acces to the great Mexican varieties. They killed them all off with paraquat in the '70s. NOt only did this destroy the varieties, they POISONED thousands and thousands of poor pot-heads when they smoked the crap which had been sprayed.

Thank you, folks. Your anti-pot insanity poisoned us. I hope you are happy with yourselves.

no one gets high on the first puff.

I wasn't impressed either the first time I tried it, but after a few tries I saw its potential.

Hmmmm. You must have smoked some crap (or not enough), then, since good marijuana gets you high EVERYTIME you smoke it.

Just so you will know, a toke is usually NOT enough to get high from, unless it is SUPER GOOD pot, like Hanoi Gold, or Afghani, or some other of the Great varietals.

Additionally, it must be INHALED to get high. Taking the smoke into one's mouth, and never inhaling it won't get one high.

Much like LSD, there is a minimum dose which must be taken before one will feel its effects. Two to three tokes seems to be the minimum dose with this modern sensimilla we find in North America.

Your right I did smoke some swag.. When I tried some hydroponics I got a good high off the first hit.

^ untrue some people do get high, i wasn't one of them though, but i do know people who I got high with their first time and they felt it every bit!

but i would say more than 65% don't

If what you say is true, then a minimum of 65% of the pot in the US is pure crap, rather than decent marijuana.

I've NEVER seen good pot not get ANYONE high within a couple of tokes.

Of course, if someone is all drunk when smoking, he may not be able to tell the difference betwen pot and beer. Especially if the one trying for the first time is a drunk or beeraholic. Rednecks seldom get high the first time, because they are usually too drunk to tell. Once they sober up, and then try it, they almost always get high immediately.

Mixing alcohol and pot is not a good idea. The alcohol will spoil your high. Additionally, the alcohol will cause one using marijuana to get sick, nauseous, and VIOLENT.

DON'T mix the two.

Its all about the SMOKE friend. IF you get the SMOKE you get the high. But the SMOKE must be good smoke.

And the smoke has to enter your lungs before it can get to the rest of your body. [i.e., "you gotta inhale, stupid!!"]

NO SMOKE, NO HIGH.

(sorry for the bad paraphrase of "No woman, no cry", Bob).

It's just stupid, all the social stigma that enshrowds marijuana...it's no worse than cigarettes, and way less harmful than alcohol. It's actually a culmination of both, but its combined effect is less harmful than both, done in normal doses.

As far as my opinion goes, I think that it should be made completely legal. I have done it twice before, but I coughed my lungs out. It was a nice experience with friends and everything, but I couldn't do my jog fully for the 2 weeks that followed...because we smoked it out of a bong.

I would do it again, but not until my after my finals. All in all, I think I'd do it 6-8 times a year. And for those of you who think that all peopel who smoke marijuana are brain-dead idiots with no life o9r responsibilities, consider this:

Out of the 6 of us who smoke up together, 5 of us are on honor roll - all of us in Engineering, third year - and we all have respectable jobs in either consulting firms, financial companies or huge manufacturing companies (I work for Toyota). We're also pretty athletic, and we have a social life.

Now, that doesn't apply just to us...that applies to a lot of successful people I know. Hell, there's this guy in my class - genius is the only word I can describe him by - and he tokes more than all of us combined.

And finally, to dispel the myth that marijuana impairs your judgment to the point where it renders you dangerous to your fellow Man, consider this:

When you're high, you're so lazy, you can't get in a car and drive, and you certainly can't handle a firearm. You'll also feel too weak to stab someone!

There!

YEs i first smoked when i was 10 and totally was laxxxed

someone told me that if you smoked cannabliss the high would last for about 3-4 days i wa afraid to smoke it as my ddad has a pot smelling nose............................... but my bro and i smoked it i was 10 he was 16 and then i smoked it again at 14 and a half when i found a dealer.. I grew up on a bad side of town i mean cmon 14 and im already have drugdealers on speed dial

it would be awesome if it were legal like if a pack of 20 joints was like 2-5 dollars like ciggies the i would smoke a pack or 2 a day :stoned:

I'm Canadian and I say legalize it. Vaporizer + Weed = Good Life

To the person who said when your high your lazy is wrong. Everybody has different personalities, thus weed affects you differently as well.

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
