Scaling on the Gimp

Sorry to bother you guys, :whistle:

Whenever I scale an image on the gimp it just cuts that image down to the pixel size i have specified it. I want it to be scaled. I'm lost. I barely understand gimp (as you can see by my pathetic attempt at a sig :p).

  I hate Slack, but Teams is much worse - maybe they've already optimized it, but it was a huge slog the last time I've checked about half a year ago. I miss my Skype.
