camera suggestion

Well guys, I'm in need of a camera for next week for some events and I know there are a lot of threads like this, but as time passes there are new prices well....

Obviously I'm looking for a camera 7.1+ MP and the best quality possible, around 150 dlls, not more than 200 as it will be more likely everyday pictures without discarding the possibility of editing once in a while in Photoshop, I mean, professionals are not really needed. The main stuff I look for is GOOD battery life and GOOD quality for the budget, minimum 4x zoom (not too hard to find I believe). For what I've heard Canons are really good so I had an eye to a Canon PowerShot A590IS for example and the reviews say battery life is really bad, any of you guys think about this?.... what do you think of a Nikon CoolPix S210? Sony Cyber-shot? Olympus?

Any suggestion is really appreciated outside the examples that I gave.

Canon PowerShot A590 IS

Nikon CoolPix P50
