^I can't help that I'm bored of working on it. Doing new stuff is much more fun :p

Also, I might make a completely new theme for black.

At the rate you're going, you might as well release a Rose version, or maybe even a Pink version, complete with scented taskbar :p .

I'm NEVER going to make a pink version :p

There will be a black version of Blue SE which wont be a new theme. It also wont be the same as the previous black theme. I want to make a black version without all the orange elements.

Is the taskbar being skinned correctly now?

No, i patched it before using a replacement tool. The picture is what it looks like after..

Keep in mind the top application bar has the right blue color. along with the taskbar colors when an application is blinking.

so its like half working.

I really think you're having issues with the Uxtheme Patch.

You should make thread here: Customizing Windows XP. More people will see the problem and probably more people can help as well. I also want to keep this thread for Watercolor Emico :)

How about leaving the orange elements in and making an Orange version? :)

I was more thinking about a black version with blue controls. I've already tried an orange color in the mockup and it didn't look that good. The SE version is not going to be milked with a series of colors. It's either another version from black or no extra version at all :p

I do have an idea for an orange color scheme. I had it for sometime now and I wanted it to be a secret theme. IF I'm going to make it, it won't be the typical orange theme you're thinking of. It won't be the same as the other themes either since I want it to have a beige taskbar.

But, don't set your hopes up to high. Olive is the theme that I'm working on right now and that's a boring theme for me to work on. I never used an olive theme in the past and I won't use any in the future either. Only this one to test it out. Orange is a color that I also wouldn't want to be using as the main color in a theme. So, don't expect an orange theme yet.

Why not a bronze theme then :p ?

That's also to boring for me to be working on :p It actually has to be a color that I would want to use as well. Such as a black version from Blue SE.

zomg I'm dying to know what SE looks like now. XD

I feel the same way about Olive. It's a nice color to look at occasionally, or if you have some random accessory (real life accessory I mean), but I don't think I would want to be constantly looking at the color. I think MS did well with their Olive Luna though, since they included a lot of beige elements to tone it down a bit.

Keep up the good work!

My olive theme will have the same color scheme as Olive Luna. So a red-ish color for button, sliders and checkbox hovers. It'll also have the same beige color as Blue.

Blue SE mockups are almost done. I still have to go through a few tings before I start compiling it. Remember though, Blue SE is just a working titel. The released version will have a different name.

I only suggested it as your theme colours remind me of the amount of colours the PSP Lite are offered :p . They've just released a Ruby Red and Matte Bronze hence my suggestion to you.

Not that I'm asking you to take up my suggestion  .

^It's going to be released next week. I wanted to work on it today but I decided to take a break this weekend :p

@Scirwode: Thank god :p I think that Olive will be the last color besides Blue SE.

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
