Yep, you should've read the deviantART description before you posted that. It's also posted on the 1st page :p

"In the 3rd drop downlist you can make a choice between a "Normal" or a "Compact" start panel."

I said in your dreams because you don't have all the effects that I'm using at the moment in WE :ninja:

Also, if you do mod your black to BlackSE, could you please not post screenshots of it? I'm not posting much teasers because if I do, the theme is going to be boring before everyone can even use it. So, the taskbar is the only teaser I'm posting for black since I'm planning on changing all the controls for it. The reason behind changing all the controls is to make it look and feel different then BlueSE.

So.. that's why I want to ask you to not post screenshot of the modded Black to BlackSE :)

Well once you release one of the new SE styles I can pull from that to make a full matching black theme for myself. Until then I've got it looking fairly good with matching window frames and some custom controls.

I'll refrain from posting any more shots of my mod (even though it's a modified version of a style you said you aren't even making :p ), it is your thread after all.

BlackSE was scrapped because it looked ugly the way I did the first mockup. With the old series I only changed 1 layer to change the colors. When I do that with BlueSE, the new color looks ugly. So with BlackSE I altered the gloss so that it looks less glossy and smoother. I also changed the bright part from the frames to a darker shade to make it look way better IMO.

The latest BlackSE mockup is the mockup I'm going to use for the new BlackSE theme. So yeah, it will be made :p

  • 2 weeks later...

Haha nice :p I don't know when the theme is ready for release. I still have a some things left to mockup etc.

I do have some good news for Vista users though. Someone contacted me this week about porting some of my stuff to Vista and I gave him permission for it. He's now working on a Watercolor Emico: Black port :D

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
