Well, I don't know when BlueSE will be done but I'm sure it's before 2009 :p

Which means you only have two and half months left, so get cracking :p !

You do know that my clowns are still ready to act.. right? :p

Anyways, the hover state might take a little while because I want it to look neat and not so default. So I still need to come up with something for it.

If someone would like to help me out with those then I'd appreciate it :) All I need is someone that can change a few color codes in the latest shellstyles. I can do this myself but since it's to boring for me I can't find the time to do it :p

My army of pet hamsters are standing by to intercept should your ever unleashed your army, and they've got sharp teeth :p .

Colour codes? In the shellstyle itself?

Scirwode

Yeah, for the text etc. And replace a few images in the shellstyle with images from the mockups.

If memory serves me right, that's inside the shellstyle itself, and you edit it either with StyleBuilder or Reshacker, is that right? I'm getting too old if I can't even remember a few tools I've used during the years :p .

Scirwode

That's inside a few files that are inside the shellstyle yeah. And it's done with Resedit :p

I knew it was something beginning with R :p . If you like, I can have a look at the files for you and see if I can edit them. I am a little busy with work but I think I can sneak in a few hours of doing some side work while my boss is not looking  . I hope he doesn't browse Neowin and see this :shifty: .

Scirwode

You've got Photoshop and and Resedit on your work PC?

It's my notebook by the way, which I bring to work.

I edited WE Black to my liking, personal use only of course :)

I created a new start button, removed all the "watercolor" images from the start menu and title bars, changed the taskbar and tray graphics.

Capric0rn, if you're going to keep the start button with the borders maybe it would be an idea for the hover/active color the be all orange, like the borders?

As for your other button, maybe make the windows flag glow on hover or something?

Edited by Phixion

^You just made the Watercolor theme into something NONE Watercolor. May I ask why you removed the one thing that made the theme somewhat unique?

I'm not going to use the bordered start button because I'm not liking it at all. I already ditched the start button from the previous themes as well. Making the start button completely orange on hover is a bad thing since the flash button is also completely orange.

The current start button glows on hover but not only the flag, the text also glows on hover. But this isn't really neat IMO. The glow hover is to plain IMO. I want to add something to it that'll make it un-plain but I still need to find an idea for it.

You're right, I've taken the key part and removed it - why? Because I don't like it, I was never a fan of the old watercolor themes for the same reason.

My WE mod is nothing like Krystal XP, Krystal XP is alot darker and alot more glossy. I don't like it's start button, or its min/max/close buttons and I also prefer the controls from WE.

I can't make you like it, but then it is a personal mod so the only person it has to please is me, there's not one theme out there at the moment that I like, each 1 has something that bothers me so I decided to just change a theme I like to my liking.

Hehe you're free to mod it anyway you like. I was just curious to the reason why you removed it. I'm glad you enjoyed at least some parts of my theme :p

I can't make everyone like my theme either. Mods are fine as long as you keep them to yourself :)

A few beta versions had those separators in the taskbar. I thought about putting them back in the theme but it looks weird with the hovered button suddenly turning into a boxed button. Though it would look nice with the new start button.

Also, the user picture might be removed from the current version that I'm using. It just looks weird when the taskbar is used at the top of the screen.

I never said I didn't like, but it still looks like a lighter and less glossy version of Krystal. :)

I have no problem with people modding for personal use, that's how the Luna Element series and this one came to be. It's how every visual style came be, by modding what Microsoft gave to us. Well, we really had to take it. ;)

Well.. not all themes are mods from the Luna theme which Microsoft made. Sure, the themes are modified version of Luna code wise. But most themes are original from the artist graphic wise. Like Emico, it's inspired by Watercolor but everything is made from scratch, which doesn't make it a mod from Watercolor ;)

Right, some of them are classic mods... ;)

I understand the graphics are made from scratch, but a lot of the time they are just much better variations of the original. I will have to respectfully disagree with your saying Eminco is not a Watercolor mod. I understand the graphics are entirely your creation, but the original design with the squares in the title bar a "key part" a you posted earlier is a mod of the original.

Please understand I'm not trying to take anything away from you or Em (since Element was used earlier) both are beautiful themes and have inspired many other themes. They are probably as well known and liked as any other in the skinning community, and I hope you guys continue to create themes. I was merely stating my own opinion. :)
