+shift. MVC Posted July 3, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 3, 2008 I hope to see your overclocking results in this database soon :) Should be a good system, you seem to have given it a lot of thought.

RAID 0
Did I forget to add something to my post? Do you need any other info from me?
gwai lo
Nope, everything's in order. If you have the week and code that would be cool, but nothing otherwise.
RAID 0
Nope, everything's in order. If you have the week and code that would be cool, but nothing otherwise. I don't. I chucked my box after I got this hog running. Are you planning to add my specs to the database?
gwai lo
You're there under Q6600, it's sorted by MHz.
+shift. MVC Posted July 4, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 4, 2008 Look at the FIRST chart. We don't really know what we're going to do with the second one yet...

gwai lo
You memtested? Is that your stability test? Because it's emphasis is checking RAM stability.
Impact
No, I ran memtest as my stability test for RAM. In the screenshot above, I ran orthos for 9 and a half hours to stress the CPU.
gwai lo
Holy crap, either I completely missed those...or you did a little ninja edit after I posted. Okay I'll add you in a few minutes. edit: I'm looking at what we have now...uhhh...what's different?
+shift. MVC Posted July 7, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 7, 2008 LOL I can't see the difference either.....:| I think he was just indicating that his overclock is 9 hours ORTHOS stable.
Impact
the difference is that I now have my 2GB of RAM back that I RMA'd lol. I didn't know if it mattered, but I reposted just in case.
+shift. MVC Posted July 10, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 10, 2008 Nah, all we need is your RAM brand / model # 4GB vs 2GB of RAM doesn't really make a difference in overclocking compared to the speed, voltages and timing that it's running at. Impact
Sounds good. Hey, I got a new CPU cooler (the Xigmatek HDT-S963), so you can add that to the database. As you can see, the temps are a lot cooler now compared to the 70 degrees celsius the were getting with the stock cooler: (In case you can't see, it says 56 degrees on one and 57 degrees on the other. +shift. MVC Posted July 11, 2008 MVC Share Posted July 11, 2008 Are you going to try and push your processor to a higher overclock? It would be easier if I just made one update compared to updating for your cooler, and then updating again for your overclock :p
Impact
I don't think I'm gonna try to go higher simply because I had to bump the voltage like .15 volts just to get the extra 100 MHz from 2.9GHz to 3GHz, so it just doesn't seem worth it.
