Minifig
I currently have an Apple airport that's wired hooked up to my router in my computer room so that whatever I listen to on my computer via Pandora.com can be broadcast to the Apple Airport via a program called AIRFOIL, to the living room. The Apple Airport goes directly to my stereo system, and outputs a wi-fi signal... (anyone with the password can log into my wifi network), however.. the question is: If I buy another Apple airport, and plug it into the kitchen, will it accept the wi-fi signal that the other airport is putting out, connect to the net, and get the signal that the other ones putting out so all I have to do is plug in more speakers in my kitchen, and get the same signal and hence, getting the music that's playing in the computer room, and living room? I know this is confusing to read, but I've described my audio situation the best I can. Yeah, the new airport express can either just join your wireless network (in the same way as other pc's do) or it can be used to repeat your wireless network (increasing its range). All you would have to do is set it up in either way (it's up to you, first way is easier but the second way has benefits) and then plug speakers into it. Minifig
Aww.. Great news. I'm going to have it extend the network.. but I'm so happy to hear that it'll extend out the signal. You walk into the kitchen and you can barely hear the music in the living room because I keep it at a manageable level that's not too loud. :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/644586-apple-airport-audio-question/#findComment-589498502 Share on other sites
