This movie was hilarious! I laughed non-stop through the whole thing. I do think a lot of the jokes were aimed specifically at Canadian's, though, so other countries may not understand some of the uhh colourful references to Quebec or our obsession with the Leafs, lol.

How do they judge $5m? the weekend isn't even over yet... if it has done 5m in 24 hours, it could do another 5m in 24 hours.. when the weekend is actually over.

They usually judge it by how big the opening day is because if its a big hype the money it takes first day will be 90% what it takes all weekend...anyway this is where I read it.

That movie was...uhhh...errr...just...disastrous. It was the most juvenile, immature mess I've ever seen in my life. The satire was unfunny, the jokes were recycled and so lame. There was so much dead air thorughout the movie, except for the few times the retards in the theater laughed at his peepee or dick or **** jokes...

Only 5 scenes were funny...other than that, I sat there feeling sorry for Mike Myers. If you don't believe me, read the reviews; 22% on metacritic...

How old are you?

Seriously? What was the funny? The tasteless mop ****-tag game? Any one of the 100 penis jokes or double entendres? Maybe it was the sexist and midget jokes..

As far as the Maple Leafs jokes or the "Le grande ****" pun go, I failed to see the funny. They were just LAME joke leveled at a team that has gotten its share of ridicule - enough now, it's no longer funny. And I've also heard enough Quebec jokes; the ones in the movie were just downright gay. Way to stuff your crotch with newspapers Justin, it made the scene a lot funnier...

You're sitting there asking someone how old they are when you sit there insulting him for his opinion? He thought something was funny, yet you insist it was utterly lame, and you're asking how old he is? You refer to the jokes in the movie as "gay" as in bad, and you're asking how old he is? Really?

The jokes WERE gay. That wasn't a metaphor...and why the **** are you defending the movie anyway? Its rating on metacritic is 24%, on rotten tomatoes 15%, the lowest of any box-office hit. And if you're gonna give me that ****ing "it's only an opinion " bull****, well, you need to get your **** together. Some people saw Hitler as a hero, but we shouldn't discount our universal view of him as a war-monger now, should we?

And when I asked him his age...This movie was a juvenile catastrophe...only a very immature audience with an extremely unsophisticated humor would find that garbage funny; it was catered for an American audience so to speak.

You really need to chill out.

How are you going to sit there and call others immature and ignorant when you're using the word "gay" to describe how stupid the movie is? Do you not see the immaturity and ignorance of everything you've posted? Especially in the way you're using the word "gay"?. Don't give me the excuse "Oh I'm just using it to describe something that's stupid" because that's just a pathetic excuse and it's getting old.

If anyone is immature here, it's you. Not everyone likes the same type of comedy. Just because you think it's stupid, doesn't mean everyone else in the world is going to agree. You're being a little too over-dramatic about this whole thing. It's a movie for crying out loud. Get over it. Nobody forced you to watch it and you keep bringing up how it got awful reviews, yet you still went to see it. You only have yourself to blame there.

I'll probably wait for a video release to be honest. Mike Myers IMHO has gone down hill since Austin Powers 1. The sequal was good still but IMHO not as great and by the 3rd it was all just a rehash of the others and a real lemon in what had been a good series.

The trailer to this didn't look very good at all...and the fact he's playing a sex guru after three Austin power films to me indicated he'd be using the same sort of Austin Powers sex/mojo jokes that we've seen before. Unless I've missed some of his films since Austin Powers 1 that deviates from the sex god role, I do think he should try and reinvent his role a bit. He's funny enough but hes pidgeonholed in the same role and it's running out of steam fast.

    • Was it too much to ask to show the icon in this article?
    • Frankly, I blame whoever is writing such articles. "A big improvement/update and/or new feature is now available to everyone! Also, use this unofficial tweak tool to enable it because it actually isn't available to you yet officially and might not in fact even be entirely ready or whatever, hence why it is perhaps not enabled for you*. But it's great and you should enable it!" I mean there's nothing wrong with sharing info about some feature you might need to enable via unofficial means, of course. It's just that these articles tend to essentially end up being two news pieces in one, and one of them tends to be a bit misleading. (*Yes, yes, the "it's a controlled rollout!" thing. Not a fan of that one either. The argument, not the actual rollout.)
    • Thank you. Will do. I read in the release notes that editor config might be at play here.
    • Actually, I think even Microsoft doesn't know how to control it
    • OpenAI is making Codex more useful in Chrome and the cloud by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI's Codex now has more than 5 million users, up nearly 4x from earlier this year. To further accelerate Codex's growth among developers, OpenAI today announced that it has agreed to acquire Ona, a company that builds secure cloud execution and orchestration technology for developers. Ona will enable developers to run Codex with persistent and controlled cloud infrastructure for long-running agentic workflows. Right now, most Codex execution happens locally on developers' laptops and PCs, and the agents work continuously for hours. Through Ona, OpenAI aims to make Codex agents keep working for days without being tied to a user’s local machine or an active session. This will be an important capability for enterprises that want to deploy AI agents in production while maintaining control over infrastructure, data, security boundaries, credential scope, logging, and review workflows. Like any acquisition, the deal is still subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Until the deal closes, OpenAI and Ona will continue to operate as separate companies. After closing, Ona’s team will join the Codex team to improve developer workflows. Alongside the Ona acquisition announcement, OpenAI today introduced a few Codex updates. Developers can now save Codex rate limit resets and use them later instead of losing them when they are not needed immediately. OpenAI is also adding a referral option where users can invite a friend to Codex and get a saved rate limit reset. OpenAI today also announced a developer mode for browser use in Chrome and the Codex in-app browser. With this mode, Codex can use the Chrome DevTools Protocol to debug web apps, inspect pages, and work more directly with browser-based development workflows. Developers can use this when they want Codex to profile JavaScript, inspect console output and network traffic, examine web page states including the DOM and applied styles, and more.
