Oh yeah, that one as well :p

Rob Styles is a complete and utter drama queen.

Webb as well he should be shown the door.

We need refs like Clive Thomas and David Ellery.

Brilliant refs the pair of them.

I do remember the 78 world cup when CL blew for full time at a Brazilian corner, to which the ball went in.

finally im not the only one defending my self against arsenal/liverfail fans

Are there any updates on when Gerrard is going to prison? I haven't followed anything in weeks :s

afaik he pleaded not guilty and it doesn't resume until March 31st or something like that.

You can't really comment seeing as Chelsea are known for housing a bunch of diving and cheating twats.

And if you really are under the misconception that Gerrard is going to prison, then you need to re-read the events of what happened on that night at The Lounge Inn in Sowwie.

Yesterday evening, a harrassed looking Joe Kinnear, speaking after his team's bitterly disappointing 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, faltered when trying to pronounce N'Zogbia's name, stammering and failing to enunciate it correctly. He covered up his error by subsituting the player's nickname: Charlie.

This has been taken as a heinous insult by N'Zogbia, who has forcefully declaed his intention to play for Newcastle United again whilst Kinnear is manager of the club.

"First of all, I wish to apologise to the fans for wanting to leave the club," Sky Sports News reports N'Zogbia as saying.

"However, I have been insulted by Joe Kinnear. I will never play for him again while he remains Newcastle manager.

"The club are aware that there are offers on the table for me and they should accept one of them."

Rumours had linked N'Zogbia today with ?7 million bids from Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic, though there has been no confirmation of this from any of the clubs involved.

Bad goal keeping.

Always cover the near post.

Goal keeper didn't.

Beckham however will stay at A.C. so to play in the 2010 world cup.

If he returns to USA, he will probably be dropped form the England squad for good.

Look at Maldini, 1000+ games, 40 and still defending as good as he did when he was 20.

It was a very good free kick with amazing technique, but I agree with leesmithg on this one. The keeper thought Beckham was going to produce a cross, and hence positioned himself and his defence to deal with the cross.

Still, you have to give Beckham credit for that (and I do like David Beckham...a bit).

Gunners get Arshavin permit

Russian gets green-light for move

Arsenal have been granted a work-permit for Andrei Arshavin ahead of a proposed move to Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have been in talks with the Russia international and his club Zenit St Petersburg over the last few weeks.

A fee is yet to be agreed, but Arsenal have applied for a permit as they appear to be closing on an agreement.

The Gunners have until Monday to finalise the move and the announcement that they now have a permit in place is likely to see the north London club push to try and finalise his capture.

Manager Arsene Wenger said on Friday he wanted the deal done within 24 hours.

leesmithg I didn't know you posted this here.. anyways I posted almost the same in Transfer Window thread :p Seems its FINALLY happening..

(and I do like David Beckham...a bit).

I really like him as a person as well as, as a player.. even though he's a HUGE superstar the guy's got humility.. he's not fake or a showoff like many modern players (C. Ronaldo for example..) Whenever he plays football, he always plays for the team.. On the field he's a part of the team and doesn't think he's bigger than anyone on the team.. you see it in his celebrations or when the team celebrates.. He's a great leader who motivates and tried to lead by example.. Off the field he's a celebrity and enjoys that.. The guy loves footy and he didn't let fame (and fortune) get to his head and that says a lot abt him..

I hope he gets a chance to play one more WC for England.. and abt the goal.. no one can bend it like David Beckham :pacifier:

I love my Liverpool Boys but god damn it we need a big win....maybe like this weekend against Chelsea

All the games now are EXTREMELY important and the race (for title or to avoid relegation) is still wide open.. this game though would be MASSIVE.. the one who loses might lose pace and as a result can even drop out of top four..

I would love it if Villa lifts the trophy this season.. no one deserves it more.. with the team they have.. the resources they have.. to be where they are is great.. hats off to them.. 'Big 4' took their places for granted.. Villa has shown real hunger and desire..

Man City.. thats how its done.. watch Villa and learn..

I know, I had both windows open and pasted and saved to wrong one.

If we could get three more players including Messers Wright-Phillips and Richards then wahooooo, title here we come ha ha.

and might I add N'Zogbia to that list? :p

was just thinking abt the freekick options that Milan have now.. Pato.. Ronaldinho.. Becks.. Pirlo.. Kaka :| giving freekicks to them can be instant suicide..

and speaking of Beckham..

David Beckham has been linked with a move to Orient in possibly the most fanciful and far fetched transfer rumour of a month in which the competition has been pretty fierce.

Although, actually, that should read Beckham move for Leyton Orient. As Goldenballs is about to buy the east London club where he once had a trial. At least that’s according to current owner and shameful self-promoter Barry Hearn. And what possible reason could he have for creating this story if it wasn’t true, eh?

“It’s true I’m in discussions with Terry Byrne [beckham’s agent and trusted confidante] over the possibility of selling Orient,” said Hearn.

“I’ve always said I’m a fan of the club but it doesn’t mean I have to be the owner so long as I can guarantee its long-term survival At this stage we’re only in discussions but it only takes a minute to agree something if it’s in the best interests of the club.”

Goldenballs :D

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has told Arsene Wenger not to worry about getting in the Champions League as the club would be fine without it – which is just as well, eh?

:omg:

Writing in his programme notes before Arsenal’s game with West Ham United yesterday, he (Fab) confirmed, “My leg is getting stronger and the doctors tell me that the ligament has healed.

“Now it is about building up the muscle and on Thursday I had a very little jog for the first time, so it is good news and I am happy because I can see a big improvement.

“I will take it step by step, but hopefully I can come back earlier than first expected. However, let's wait and see.”

Fabregas has been recuperating in Spain but also revealed he would be returning to London shortly and at that time would be able to set a date for his return to action.

He explained, “I will be coming back to England in two weeks' time and, after being assessed by the physios, we will set a target date for my return.”

 Sounds encouraging!!

Injuries are hurting us BIG time.. hopefully.. we'll get Eduardo back very soon.. then Walcott.. then Rosicky and finally Capt. Fab.. Arshavin deal is almost done.. but I have no expectations of him.. he will need time to settle.. luckily for him he will get that due to money we spent on him and also coz of injuries AW will have no options but to play him.. but Wenger's mind is the most unpredictable thing.. he might play Denilson or Diaby or even Song ahead of him :s

Hopefully at the end of the day the guy will be worth the trouble of not signing anyone else in the winter and he will find his form fast and score/create for us.. a lot

    • I think the car analogy is more this: Left hand drive, basic commands on the left side of the infotainment screen. Right hand drive, basic commands on the right side of the infotainment screen. Granted, you're not swapping between the two often so it's doesn't really work. But it's to do with the proximity of you (your mouse, or the driver) to the controls.
    • I mean, the old one was broken and so stupidly complex for many users, so I don't see that as a feasible option. A context menu needs to be simple to use, and for me the Windows 11 style actually worked really well for me, and many others. I used to have to scroll the damn context menu just to get to "file properties" in Windows 10. That was not a good experience, and I'm sure you'd agree. What they're trying to do is make it the best of both worlds, as clearly you'd prefer the Win10 style. I'm curious how they're going to do this.
    • The "Show more options" has its place, as does the simpler context menu, but it should perhaps be a separate fly-out rather than relaunching the entire, old context menu. The old context menu was getting absurd in Windows 10. Often I'd have to make the context menu scroll just to get to "File properties" on my old laptop. Even without much installed, the amount of items was just too much. It's a context menu, not a "do all" menu. Making it configurable is fraught with challenges too, so I'm interested to see how Microsoft tackles this one.
    • I don't hate the new menus, I am not a fan of the lack of features and how they went live when they clearly are not complete. The menu itself presents much better than the previous - but what's lacking (IMO) is: 1) Any kind of automated manipulation such as: "this goes on the new menu because you use this feature more often on this filetype" "this is rarely used and will fall back to the old menu" 2) Any kind of user manipulation such as: "a UI to add/remove/order items to the new menu"
