it wasn't *just* socks now was it? Either way throwing physical objects is fine yet simple cheering isn't?

Where did I say cheering was wrong? People can sing or do whatever they want at matches as far as I am concerned, I just said that I have never heard Everton as loud as that when Gerrard was taken off, it was like they'd won the league.

You're always going to get one or two ***** at the game to be honest, I think someone threw a bottle but other than that it was just socks everywhere.

It will be a rough road with Gerrard out of play because hes more than a captain on the field, HES EVERYWHERE lol but we have strong players on Liverpool I think we can still play well but certain players have to step up. Riera and Babel have to come in and play epic!! Kuyt,Benayoun and Alonso can do it but everyone has to play well. COME ON LIVERPOOL WE CAN DO THIS

Mate, you have Harry Redknapp in charge of your team.

What's that got to do with anything?

Was referring to Benitez' gamble at leaving Torres and Kuyt on the bench, and still winning....

Old Cod Face is doing a decent job anyway imo. We only had two points from eight games when he joined, remember.

You're hyper sensitive about football banter sometimes mate.

I thought you were having a pop at Rafa, sorry :p

It just ****es me off the way the media were rubbing their hands with glee today at the prospect of an upset. What team could we have put out? Torres could hardly run at the end of the derby on Wednesday, and Alonso had a knock on his ankle. The coverage today on Setanta was cringe worthy and really annoyed me and some fellow Reds.

Plus, I don't like Harry Redknapp that much. Did you see that little flowchart that was going around the net about him? It was so true.

Anyway, you pleased to have Keane back?

3 West Ham players in the England Squad :p

I have to be honest tho Carlton Cole is crap I really don't know how he got there but lets hope he does the business tomorrow.

3 more than us :p

I think Villa have 6 in the squad, which is a crazy amount for one team. O'Neill seems to be building an exciting team at Villa, who are getting the results and a fair few of his players are English.

The liverpool match anoyed me.

The backpass is a stupid f'ing rule. I thought someone was offside in the build up to the third goal.

God, we get 2 goals and we still can't win.

Distin you are costing us points! Why didn't anyone come and help Crouch out?

It was a good game of football, and was full of mistakes.

Nugent was offside for your first, Babel was onside for his bad miss (the referee had his flag up), Aurelio never fouled which led to your second goal, Reina should have easily saved your two goals as well.

And then obviously came the mistakes from Pompey!

On another note, any team that has gone 1-0 up against us in the league this season, has not beat us, which is a nice statistic.

Why the hell didn't we play Arshavin today? It's just as I said before.. Wenger is playing Song, Denilson, Bendtner ahead of him.. We should've beaten Spurs today.. we were the better team by a mile and then some.. Wenger's decisions are far from my understanding.. whatever he sees in Song, Denilson, Bendtner.. I can't see to be honest and how he fails to see Vela and Arshavin's quality baffles me.. I'm absolutely gutted..

Eboue.. one word.. IDIOT.. after the first yellow he should've been more careful.. Why not play Wilshere for a game or two on the wing and form a firing squad especially for Eboue? But again.. Wenger should seriously consider retirement.. how can you have players of the quality of Arshavin, Eduardo and Ramsey on the bench and you still play Eboue, Denilson, Song (although he had a decent game) and Bendter ahead of them????!?? And that too in a derby match?!!!

Edited by Kralik

Yeah eboue is a complete idiot. God damn him, we had to run around the pitch for the rest of the game. Arshavin hasn't played for a couple of months so not a good idea to put him on plus it's better to welcome him at home :)

I'm not saying Arshavin should've started the game.. I'm saying Wenger should've given him a go.. as well as Eduardo, Ramsey and Vela.. and what's with the disallowed goal?!??

I know the FA wants everyone to respect the referees and all but in almost every game we see wrong and objectionable decisions.. why can't we have replays in football, even if its only for the referees??

We did the job, we won. What can I say more, it was a very poor game. Giggs scored for the first time this season. Very nice goal by the way.

I enjoyed more watching Spurs against Arsenal, and it was ****ty too. :D

If you feel like you get a lot of value out of the site please do whitelist ads on the news articles, and/or consider getting a subscription, we offer two tiers, one at: $14 per year (support the site for just over a dollar a month) or the $28/year tier (just over $2/month) that disables advertising and affiliate link tracking throughout the site (so also on the news side). We also have a 'Buy us a coffee' page if you just want to make a one-time donation. I am not mincing words when I say it is becoming harder and harder to monetize publications like Neowin, it's a fact of life that when we can no longer afford to pay for everything we'll go like many other sites already have. It doesn't have to cost you anything There are other ways to support Neowin too, like posting on topic content in the forums (technical support/questions/helping others) and sharing our news articles.. this costs nothing but your time and is just as important as subscribing or making a monetary donation! Anyway thanks for your time and continued support of Neowin. Now in our 26th year, and hopefully many more! It now looks like the same product, not a separate dashboard. Pairing is one tap and zero typing: the generated WebUI password is now copyable, and the QR code carries the credentials — scanning it from your phone logs straight in (no typing the IP or password), then drops the credentials from the address bar. Search Two new providers: RuTor (CIS sources, no login, via a public TorAPI relay) and Torrents-CSV. Results are sorted by seeders (healthiest first), and each search now times out after 15 s so one dead provider can't hang the UI. Files & trackers Per-file priority is back: right-click a file in the detail panel to set Skip / Low / Normal / High. Rename an individual file inside a torrent (double-click or the file menu), separate from renaming the torrent. Remove a tracker from a torrent (the ✕ on a tracker row); adding was already there. Smart Paste on Ctrl+V — paste a magnet, a 40-char info-hash, or a .torrent URL straight from the clipboard and it's added immediately (text fields still paste text normally). Covers & titles Anime fansub naming ([Group] Title - NN) now resolves to the right show. Audio channel layouts in titles (DDP5.1, 7.1, …) are stripped so they don't pollute cover matching. Under the hood The legacy QWidget interface is gone. QML had been the only UI since 3.0.0 (reachable old code lived behind a hidden --legacy flag); with parity confirmed, the entire QWidget layer — main window, every dialog, the theme manager — was removed (~13,400 lines). The four restored actions above were features that backend already supported but the QML port had never wired. macOS: the WebUI password hash moved out of the keychain into app settings, so launching the app no longer pops a login-keychain password prompt on unsigned builds. The actual password still lives in the keychain. Cleanup: ~400 orphaned translation strings and a batch of dead code removed; internal duplication collapsed; an ARCHITECTURE.md added for contributors. Unit / security / memory tests and the ASan/UBSan/TSan sanitizers stay green.
